Feat: The cats 😺😻😾

Pairing: Hobie Brown x gn! Reader/ Spider-Punk x gn! Reader

Word count: 1.7k

Synopsis: You and Hobie try to survive a record breaking heatwave.

You groan loudly, as if it helps make the air cooler, but alas it doesn't work that way. It certainly doesn't help that the air-conditioning in your building completely fizzled out last night, resulting in you and Hobie waking up sweaty and grumpy.

You breathe heavily through the humidity, but the sweltering heat doesn't make it any easier.

The cats don't help too, especially that they're currently blocking the air flow from your single working fan. Crumpet,Teacup and Crowley lay sprawled across a cooling mat, Crowley looks back at you every minute or so, checking to see if you've melted into a puddle.

Teacup, the ever spoiled baby, mewls towards you, as if to say it's time for their hourly wipe of their paws with a cold damp cloth. She's lucky you love her. She's been relishing the attention lately, especially time spent with Hobie, you can't help but get jealous sometimes, this is what Hobie probably feels like with Crowley attached to your hip.

You reluctantly stand up, stretching to your full height, arms wide, you cringe at the sweat clinging to your back, arms, legs and clothes, it's safe to say you're covered in it. You grimace at how tacky your clothes feel on you, your tank top must look like an abstract painting from behind. You lick your lips in a futile attempt to keep them moist, feeling the cracks of skin underneath your tongue.

You grab the designated cloth to soak it in the sink, at the same time you open the fridge to grab another ice pack. Thank goodness you have a stock of them for whenever Hobie comes home bruised. You wish you don't have an abundance of it though, you hate it when Hobie gets hurt.

Teacup meows loudly, telling you to hurry up.

"Alright, alright! 'm coming, you big baby" not noticing your words slurring together. You lift up the cloth, wringing off the excess water.

You stride towards the cats, carefully patting the cloth on their paws, while checking their fur for any tangles. Making sure their water bowls aren't empty.

After rubbing their paws you move to pet Crumpet, moving your fingers on her head, and scratching behind her ear. She purrs under your touch.

You're concerned about Crumpet, she's a lot older than the other two, so you're taking more time to be more attentive towards her.

You rub her thick fur absentmindedly, the air from the fan blowing on your lashes. Your mind wanders back to Hobie, how is he faring in this temperature? Especially in his suit, you practically had to beg him to leave his leather vest at home.

"I always wear it, love, I don't feel complete without it"

"Yeah, I know for the aesthetic," you change your tone, you don't want to fight, "but damn it, just for today please, I don't want you getting heatstroke" you sigh at his stubbornness.

For added effect Crumpet meows at Hobie, backing you up.

Hobie sighs in defeat, "fine," he drops the vest haphazardly over your bed, you think he's mad.

He leans over kissing your cheek, it's too hot to give you a proper kiss, you curse at the temperature, depriving you of affection. "don't forget to drink water, yeah?"

"Mmhm, you too. Take breaks, okay?" you move to hug him, but you recoil your hands back, thinking the added heat might make him more agitated. Hobie thinks you're mad at him.

You wanted to convince him to leave his leather boots and wear his trainers instead, but it might've been all in vain, since he's already opening the window to swing away.

That was hours ago, you hope he's okay, and keeping hydrated. You wish he wasn't mad at you.

Putting the ice pack on your head, you lean against your sofa, watching the cats stay cool.

You zone out, not hearing the familiar thump of heavy boots.

Hobie thinks you're ignoring him, shit you look mad, your face scrunched up into a scowl, sweat dripping on your forehead.

He crosses the small distance, the cats lay sprawled on their mat, the only indication that they noticed him is their heads slightly following his movements, even Crowley refuses to scowl at him. It's hot even for the little hell spawn.

Hobie grabs the cool can inside his little plastic bag, it rustles, but you still haven't looked at him. Fuck he should've kissed you goodbye better.

You feel the cold can on your cheek, waking you up from your daze. You feel sluggish. Craning your neck towards Hobie, you give him a small smile.

"Hey, you're home, early" your eyes slightly glossy.

"Yeah, even villains are too hot to commit crime" he notices your eyes, "when did you last drink water?"

You grab the cold can of soda from his hands, your hands shake trying to open the lid. "Um, I'm about to drink now"

"Shit, sweetheart, that's not enough" he grabs the can from your hands, earning a small "hey" from you. "Let me get you some water, yeah?"

Hobie rushes towards the kitchen, shit how long have you last drank? You must've been too busy taking care of the cats that you forgot about yourself. He doesn't blame you though, those cats are your family. He should've checked in on you on one of his breaks.

Glass in hand, he webs himself towards the living room, so he can get to you faster. You hate it when Hobie leaves his webs inside, but he'll apologize and clean it up later.

Hobie brings the cold glass to your chapped lips, you empty it in a flash, water drips from your chin, he wipes it with his thumb.

"There, you're gonna feel better in a minute" he sighs when color comes back to your lips.

"Can I have the soda now?" You tilt your head prettily.

Hobie opens the can for you before giving it back, "lemme change and I'll get you another glass, yeah?" He rubs the sweat clinging on to your eyebrows, messing up the strands. He chuckles at your unruly brows.

"What's so funny?" You pout against the mouth of the can.

"Nothing" he pecks your forehead, ignoring the sweat. That kiss will have to do for now, he has to make up a lot of kisses for the lack of love he gave you that morning.

Hobie basically tears his suit off him, sweat clings inside, he should shower. He should also try and fix your aircon, but he doesn't want to leave your side, you were on the brink of heat stroke when he arrived, Hobie needs to watch over you till you're better, and the cats need attention too, he still hasn't won over Crowley yet. He's made it his personal mission since he met the rascal.

Crowley settles next to you, the fog clouding your mind slowly dissipating. You sigh with your eyes closed.

"Oi no sleeping" Hobie places another cold glass in your hands in exchange for the soda. He's now wearing an old band shirt that he's kept at your place. Hobie doesn't have shorts, so he just went for his boxers.

He sits next to you, with Crowley in between. Hobie stretched his legs in front of him, his toned legs in full display.

"Here," Hobie hands you a fresh cloth "nevermind c'mere" you happily lean towards him, "you need to take care of yourself too y'know" He dabs the cloth on your neck, drying it.

"I know," you sigh "I was just worried about the cats and you, it must've been hard being in that heat all day"

He hums too engrossed in wiping you dry. You take this as Hobie still being angry at you.

"Are you still mad at me?" You ask in a small voice. wringing your hands anxiously.

"What?" He stops his movements, "I thought you were the one who's angry" he grabs your hands, smoothing the skin with his thumbs, trying to calm your thoughts. "Why would I be mad?"

"Because of the vest thing" you look up at him through your lashes. "I thought, you might've looked at it like I'm trying to change you, I'm not, I like you just the way you are"

Crowley watches the scene with pensive eyes. Crumpet sneezes in her sleep, while teacup curls near Hobie's foot.

"I'm not mad about that, I understand you were looking out for me, and I was too bloody stubborn" he kisses each of your knuckles, his warm breath calms your nerves. You know he isn't good with his words, sometimes opting for showing what he means through his actions.

" 'm not mad either, I shouldn't have pushed you" you lay your head against the couch cushion.

"Nah, I want you to make me, you keep me in line, love. You're right I would've gotten heatstroke with it on" he softly lays your hands on Crowley, he returns to his previous action, wiping at the soft skin on your hip.

"Imagine, I fainted while swinging" he jokes but you glare at him.

"Not funny, Hobart"

"Now, you're mad" He chuckles as he moves the cloth over your nose.

"Augh!" You swat at the piece of wet cloth "that's disgusting!"

"It's your own sweat, lovey" Hobie smiles lopsidedly.

"Next time, wear your trainers instead of boots too?" You ask shyly.

"Alright, for you, yeah"

You nod, finally convincing him "you took care of yourself out there?" You cup his jaw, making circular patterns over his skin with your thumb.

"Yeah, took breaks, hydrated, can't say the same thing for you though"

"I know, I'll do better next time" you sigh, thumping your head on his shoulder.

"Oi" he shakes you with his shoulder "I still owe you that kiss"

You laugh, Crowley perks up at the sound "and I still owe you a hug"

"What are you waiting for? Come up here and get it" a smile creeping on the corner of his lips.

You lean up, head staying on his shoulder, Hobie does all the work, he cranes his neck down as he holds the back of your head, guiding you towards his lips. You sigh into his lips, ignoring the sweat forming on his upper lip.

You cling on to his shirt, slowly moving your arms around him, he kisses deeper.

By some sort of miracle the aircon comes to life, blowing much needed cold air into your flat. You both decide to ignore it, while you climb on his lap, so his neck wouldn't strain. He holds your back, anchoring you.

Crowley meows at the both of you trying to get your attention away from Hobie.

Dream Demon Anatomy!

Wanted to give you guys some insights on how the monster trio’s dream demon anatomy will be like now and in the future.

Updated w Perona and Robin.

Will be added to my series master list.

Luffy!

-Luffy represents the Baku in Japanese mythology, a dream and nightmare eating entity.

-He’s light and fluffy like a cloud and floats around. When he appears, your closet spews out cold fog which signals his appearance.

-Has his Gomu Gomu no Mi.

-He’s also a bit shimmery and glows when it’s dark.

-Has four arms and a monkey tail. (The Baku has tiger paws and an ox tail but I wanted it to fit more with Luffy)

-Luffy still has his stretchy powers and is flexible like rubber.

❗️He has one cock that can stretch and it doesn’t hurt reader once he inserts it anywhere.

Yearning For More Than Just Dreams.

Zoro!

-Zoro represents the average sleep paralysis demon but he’s more focused on your pleasure and isn’t much of an illusion.

-You can’t tell when he’s in your closet, but you’ll know he’s leave when he presses all six of his hands on your closet door.

-Has six eyes and six arms.

-He also has fangs that sticks out like an Oni’s larger teeth that are usually sticking out and pokes out past his lips.

Sleep Paralysis Demon Zoro. Your Demon Will Save You.

Sanji!

-Sanji represents the Mare in Swedish folklore, a demon that brings nightmares once laying on your chest.

-His body is more like a spider rather than the Mare’s general design (a feline)

-Doesn’t act malicious and mischievous, more sweet and caring (unlike a Mare in general)

-Sanji comes from under your bed instead of coming out of your closet.

-Has six eyes and eight arms. (His arms are retractable as well. I’m writing for six arms in his fic.)

-Has a slender yet flexible body good for many positions.

❗️Has two slender cocks that doesn’t hurt as much but gets the job done for you.

Can’t Help What Can’t Be Controlled.

Perona.

-Perona is a Sleeping Fairy, a fairy that sends Reader to sleep with her and her ghosts.

-Perona comes from through your wall since she’s part ghost.

-Has her Horo Horo no Mi.

-Has thin and cloudy wings that helps her fly around.

-Her hair is thin and shimmery like silk.

-As a fairy, she can shrink into her fairy size and grow back into her human size.

-Has fairy anatomy and has fairy ears and little horns on her head.

-Has natural shimmery freckles on her cheeks and bridge of her nose.

-Also has little wings on the sides of her face.

❗️She’s always soaking with slick but spills out and gets a bit more sticky when aroused and around Reader.

Robin.

-Robin is a succubus. Instead of taking your life-energy she helps put you to sleep faster.

-Robin comes from under your bed, similar to Sanji.

-Has her Hana Hana no Mi.

-Has long horns that goes through her bangs.

-Has normal human anatomy but has four arms and four eyes.

-A bit bigger in size and stature but still just as soft and gentle.

-Has sensitive demon wings on the sides of her face.

❗️Is naturally soaking and sticky with slick, often soaks the sheets.

Galvantula, The Marmalise Pokemon.

(Psychic/Electric) Evolves from: Joltik. Height: 2'07" Weight: 14.3 kg

Using its bright markings, this clever pokemon can put any being into a trance state.

When it detects its trainer is becoming upset, Galvantula will perform a swaying dance and hold their hand in order to cheer them up.

Once again thanks to @/getcorrected for this design!!!

This is a regional form inspired by the Smiler, specifically the Marmaliser- and also by Peacock Spiders! It evolves from regular Joltik, but I like to imagine that Altonian Joltik sound like they're laughing at you in a buggy sort of way.

The shiny is based on the Smiler's concept art- specifically this piece!

There's obvious design nods in the art, but the eyes are emulating cameras here, and the pedipalps (?) have a fur style that mimics little paws- how else would it hold your hand! The patterns I tried to render as if they were glowing brightly!

Working on a wee comic with the octonauts grampa squad bc animation burnout is hitting HARD

I realized I dont have established designs for Natquick or Ranger Marsh, so heres them in both their work outfits, plus casual clothes ^^

Right- So, some notes ab their work fits:

you may have noticed these guys are my only octonauts designs w/ proper shoes. There is a reason for that, and no its not just bc i figured out how anthro footwear works.

Ranger marsh gets thick soled boots because working in the everglades means venomous snakes and spiders such as coral snakes and black widows- which would not be fun to step on barefoot. Even for a rabbit with thick fur on their feet. Not to mention, said fur also traps mud very easily.

As for Natquick, He gets fluffy boots because his paw-pads on his feet are very sensitive. Arctic foxes have thick fur not just on their bodies, but on their paws as well to protect them from the cold. Natquick however is much less fluffy than animals of his species tend to be. This is because during his time in the Antarctic- there were struggle periods where it became hard to find food. He became malnourished and started shedding fur. As a result he spend more time in the research station, and the rough floors weren't exactly the most pleasant to walk on.

Other than that, its basically exactly the same as their cannon fits besides minor color changes.

Now for their Casual Fits:

Natquick's is a cozy sweater, + a Tshirt Tracker gifted him. :D it reminds him of summer, which is certainly comforting in the cold. The scar on his leg? a result of frost-bite. While he was doing feild research in the Antarctic- and avalanche caught him of guard. His leg got caught under some ice. He waited there for almost a day before a group of penguins found him and helped him out. (i dont have a story for the scar on his snout yet)

As for Ranger Marsh, his is the same shorts he always wears, + a tanktop. when he was much younger, he went on a family camping trip at a national park. As their family traveled a lot, it was a pine-forest, somewhere in North America rather than the swampy everglades he was used to. the trip was what made him wanna be a park ranger. The tank-top was something he had gotten from the parks gift shop. As for the wrappings on his shoulder- The green patches of his fur are much more sensitive to the harsh sun than the brown patches are. He does his best to shield himself from the sun- by using things like his hat and working in the shade. But Sunburns still happen, and they can be pretty nasty at times.

Hope you guys like these designs! They were really fun to make!

I feel like miraculous will just do the most bare bones use of the Multiverse with evil heroes and good villains, Miraculous is a Franchise in which the multiverse is a great idea

They’ll probably just make say “they’ve always been evil” without making a explanation of why Hawkmoth is good and the Duo are bad, imagine if they gave the Re-verse a cool backstory like “marinette parents died in a accident and she became the worlds youngest top criminal which discovered about the miraculous, she stole the Ladybug and cat miraculous but master fu misinformed her about which miraculous granted the wish and instead making her go after the two miraculous Master Fu knows nothing, the butterfly and Peacock miraculous, and so Ladybug rampages trough paris trying to get her hands on the miraculous and even discovering Adrien agreste is a sentimonster in her pursuit for the Peacock miraculous making him he’s pawn which will use the cat miraculous [see that play of words? Paw-Pawn?] and Gabriel agreste has to fight Ladybug and save not only the world and the miraculous but also he’s son” but I doubt they’ll do that

Heck with the obvious Spider-verse inspiration I would have wished they would have gone through actually interesting Universes

Post apocalyptic universe in which the akumatized villain are like zombies and only the miraculous users are inmune

A world in which Queen bee got her redemption arc

A world in which Marinette got the butterfly miraculous (a fan favorite)

A world in which Marinette had the bee miraculous and Chloe the ladybug (scarlet lady reference?!)

A world in which Adrien is a Healthy teen with a happy family and nothing went wrong and nothing of the super hero related events of the series happen

A world in which the kwamis are evil and the Duo has to fight the eldritch monsters trying to take over their body’s meanwhile they try to find who is the poor man being used has a puppet by Nooroo which is trying to free the other kwamis to end the world

Chat blanc universe

A super futuristic world in which magic is dying and the villain is the order of the miraculous trying to resurrect magic even if that comes to a high price so they can keep existing and have meaning on their lives since they wasted hundreds of decades of their lives guarding the miraculous which will soon stop existing

A world in which humans don’t exist and instead the characters are creative monster designs

A world in which Marinette was bitten by a radioactive ladybug and Adrien has a eldritch horror alien goo named plagg which gives him super powers (yes like venom and Spider-Man)

A world in which Lila/Chloe and Marinette Swap places

The world of the movie!!! (which is very different from the series world might I mind you)

And the world of the comics (although the only difference I can remember is the American heroes and yes before you ask this is the comics the infamous Ghetto blaster came from)

There’s so many options yet I know they’ll only do the Evil universe trope instead of actually using the potential the world of miraculous has for parallel universes

You'd think for a special that seeks out to explore the multiverse, they'd do more than just your generic dystopian mirror universe where all the characters aren't made evil are part of some resistance faction judging from the trailer. There may be a chance that we'll get glimpses of other universes, but there's still going to be more focus on the "Re-Verse".

The idea of a world with Ladybug and Cat Noir being villains could work if you decided to focus on the circumstances that causes them to snap and turn to a life of crime (sort of like Spider-Carnage's backstory from the finale of the 90s Spider-Man cartoon), but given how the show handles the morality of its characters, there's a good chance that this universe's version of Ladybug and Cat Noir will just be evil for the sake of being evil. Either that, or the writers pull a cop-out and make them completely different characters, like Chloe and Lila.

I keep thinking about Kar'niss and how he'd get around if he'd be our companion, considering his huge Drider bod, but apparently spiders can fit through some tiny gaps??

Like a full grown tarantula, the size of a hand, being able to fit through a gap that's 1-2 cm wide! So Kar'niss shouldn't have a problem with doors and such, would be hilarious to see it lol

AND THEN I find out spiders have PAWS?? Itty bitty paws with claws! Like a cat :3

Yeah, he could probably squeeze through doorways, though not very elegantly?

Tarantula paws are adorable, all fuzzy and sweet. Love it. I don't imagine Kar'niss having lil feetsies like that, but still, it's very cute for a drider design!

(A note, I don’t tend to draw stuff like that too often, so no need to worry about it too much!)‼️

• I am a young minor with diagnosed autism, adhd, and ocd, I also have slight social anxiety, so please, PLEASE be patient with me, as I can have trouble communicating, understanding things, or coming up with responses

• Never be afraid to approach me about anything, although I’m a bit nervous talking to new people, I adore making new friends, just please don’t be weird, if you make me outright uncomfortable I will most likely block you.

• For fanart and such, feel free to contact me about it if you need ideas, permissions, reference images, or need to know anything important!

• I’m a full time school student and can be relatively busy, I also have notifications off on all platforms, so I may be slow to respond if you dm me or try to contact me.

• I’m a huge nerd and absolutely love talking about my interests, but if I ever get too excited or overbearing, never be afraid to just tell me to take a chill pill or calm down, I can promise you I will not be angry! Communication is key with me since I can have issues understanding others, if I’m ever too much to handle, just say it! I’ll greatly appreciate it as it helps me to grow and be a better person ^^!

• I am currently obsessed with Phighting!, regretevator, lethal company, little nightmares, rainworld, and spiderman, but I also am super big into hollow knight, pokemon, Minecraft, Sky: COTL, and sort of warrior cats ig..?
