Si te gusto el post no olvides dejar tu 🖤, compartir y comentar!🤠🤙🏻🪲 #sr_nahual #arthropods #tarantula #beetle #insectsofinstagram #coleoptera #scarabaeidae #dynastes #megasoma #cetoniinae #spidersofinstagram #rutelinae #arthropodsofinstagram #outdoors #nature #camping #mexico #dynastinae #cerambycidae #chrysomelidae #theraphosidae #nature #pepsis #megasomaelephas #megasoma #callipogon #goliathus #foresis https://www.instagram.com/p/CpA-aMJOFRv/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I’m currently in Borneo, where amazing species live in old tropical forests. One of them is the David Bowie huntsman spider (Heteropoda davidbowie), named after the great singer and his alter ego Ziggy Stardust, with the typical orange hairs. I photographed this beautiful female while in Kubah National Park with a great local guide @bteo2021 who really helped to find amazing species! Thanks mate! I’m used to go around alone, but I really appreciated your passion and knowledge! #spider #heteropodadavidbowie #arachnology #huntsmanspider #borneo #macrophotography #macro #spidersofinstagram @ilcp_photographers https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg1ggk0vDqq/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Orb-weaver spiders - Oil Paint
Orb-weaver spiders are members of the spider family Araneidae. They are the most common group of builders of spiral wheel-shaped webs often found in gardens, fields, and forests. The English word "orb" can mean "circular", hence the English name of the group. Araneids have eight similar eyes, hairy or spiny legs, and no stridulating organs.
The family has a cosmopolitan distribution, including many well-known large or brightly colored garden spiders. With 3,067 species in 177 genera worldwide, the Araneidae comprise the third-largest family of spiders (behind the Salticidae and Linyphiidae). Araneid webs are constructed in a stereotypical fashion, where a framework of nonsticky silk is built up before the spider adds a final spiral of silk covered in sticky droplets.
Orb webs are also produced by members of other spider families. The long-jawed orb weavers (Tetragnathidae) were formerly included in the Araneidae; they are closely related, being part of the superfamily Araneoidea. The family Arkyidae has been split off from the Araneidae. The cribellate or hackled orb-weavers (Uloboridae) belong to a different group of spiders. Their webs are strikingly similar, but use a different kind of silk.

real Lampona hours, who up --- After the sun goes down, Whitetail spiders (Lampona sp.) wake up and go for a wander, hoping to bump into another spider or an insect to eat. In New Zealand, these spiders have a really nasty reputation, but my understanding is that their venom is painful but not actually dangerous. Yellow sac spiders (Cheiracanthium so) over here have a similar rep; I wonder if it's a "night-wandering-spider" thing, since they've got a greater chance of accidentally getting rolled on by a sleeping person and biting in defense. --- #Arachnology #arachnidsofig #arachnidsofinstagram #spidersunday #spidersOfInstagram #spidersofig #SpiderScience #wildlife_perfection #wildlife_macro #wildlifephotography #wildlife #nature #macro_brilliance #macro_perfection #macro_highlight #macrophotography #macrophotos #invertsofinstagram #InvertOfTheWeek #invert_macro #natgeoyourshot #natgeowild #nature #naturephotography #wildanimals https://www.instagram.com/p/Cc2ddzKOf7d/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

A Koch’s Wolf Spider - Alopecosa kochi (confirmed by iNaturalist and matches bug guide. Bug Guide says they are commonly seen in March. It was March-like weather today. The poor spider will crawl back to its hiding place given a return of winter weather the next couple days. Seen today on the El Camino Real Hiking Trail in Santa Fe, NM on Sunday, February 12, 2023 From Bug Guide - The spider species Alopecosa kochi belongs to the genus Alopecosa, in the family Lycosidae. Alopecosa kochi spiders have been sighted 17 times by contributing members. Based on collected data, the geographic range for Alopecosa kochi includes 2 countries and 4 states in the United States. Alopecosa kochi is most often sighted outdoors, and during the month of March. “Wolf spiders are members of the family Lycosidae (from Ancient Greek λύκος (lúkos) 'wolf'). They are robust and agile hunters with excellent eyesight. They live mostly in solitude, hunt alone, and do not spin webs. Some are opportunistic hunters, pouncing upon prey as they find it or chasing it over short distances; others wait for passing prey in or near the mouth of a burrow.” - Wikipedia #ScenesFromMyWolf #WolfSpider #KochsWolfSpider #AlopecosaKochi #Spiders #HuntingSpider #Anthropods #AnthropodsOfInstagram #SpidersOfInstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/ColorZPtEjL/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
