My hottest take is that I think the climate change warriors who hate Taylor Swift for having private jets should keep their criticisms to a minimum unless they have some suggestion for how she can travel safely through a commercial airline.

Like, yes, the carbon emissions are abysmal and she should be actively doing something to offset it, but also asking the most famous person on the planet to fly commercial is fucking wild. The last time she flew commercial, a whole international airport had to be shut down because fans basically took over it.

She has something like 30 stalkers (that are public knowledge - imagine how many more that we don’t know about) and she doesn’t go anywhere without 2-5+ security guards (again, that we see). She’s also one of the most visibly famous people in the world, don’t you think her being a passenger might cause more attention for groups who want to harm people? Her existence on a commercial flight would make it a bigger target for like, y’know, terrorists. She’d be putting the other passengers in danger.

Sure, domestically she could drive to more places, but that’s also a security risk for her and regular people could get hurt. Look at Princess Diana. I mean, she rides around in an armored car when she has her security, do you think that’s just for shits & giggles?

Like, there’s no such thing as ethical billionaires, people who own private jets are disproportionately impacting the planet & global warming, etc etc but I just think it’s fucking wild to be like “nah bitch, you’re not that important, get on a delta flight.” A guy was just arrested outside of her apartment in NYC three times inside of like, a couple days, and he was trying to break in. Do you really think he wouldn’t try to find his way onto that flight if it meant having Taylor cornered for a couple hours?????

Unless you have some ideas for how she could safely travel, I just think you should pick a different hill to die on with your “I hate Taylor” schtick.

Sin duda, ¡claro que lo son! Todas las aerolíneas se rigen por los mejores estándares de seguridad (o deberían) tanto de cada país (aviación civil) , internacionales y del fabricante de los aviones además que los entrenamientos para los pilotos siguen esos mismos estándares, una aerolínea barata no significa poca seguridad. ✈️👨🏻‍✈️

¿Los aviones son feos y viejos? 💣

Esto es algo que muchos le recrimina a las bajo costo porque no tienen pantallas, los asientos son duros, no tienen espacio y más… Regresamos al modelo de negocios, reducir el gasto lo más que se pueda es su fin, eso también va en los aviones y en el contrato cuando se compran o alquilan ya que pantallas, IFE (entretenimiento en vuelo), mejores telas/cueros en los asiento o hasta más espuma es un costo extra para ellos. Por otra parte la tecnología cada día avanza más y más dándonos aviones muy eficientes (menos contaminantes, requieren menos combustible y vuelan más largo) lo que es súper atractivo para las aerolíneas bajo costo por lo que muchas tienen aviones realmente nuevos (B737MAX o A320 family NEO y en algunas ocasiones B787 y A350) ✈️

¿Si debo comprar extras donde hacerlo? 🧳💺

100% en la página, la gran mayoría de aerolíneas bajo costo tiene como política precios más elevados en el aeropuerto ya que deben pagar por personal para procesar esas maletas o imprimirte el boleto (modelo de negocios de reducir costos) por eso siempre compra todo en la página y si no te has decido al momento de comprar, normalmente podrás agregar las extras a la reserva hasta 24 horas antes de la salida del vuelo (dependiendo la aerolínea).

Mi recomendación con la aerolínea bajo costo es SIEMPRE leer la letra pequeña ¿porqué? Es el error más común de las personas que nunca han usado bajo costo, creer que su maleta está incluida, que les van a imprimir el boleto(normalmente usan código QR desde el app), que comerán sin costo en el avión o que tendrán asiento junto a sus amigos/familiares y se enojan o se sienten estafados cuando la aerolínea hace lo que normalmente hace. 📖✈️

⭐️TIP⭐️

Ser amable y respetuoso abre muchísimas puertas, en caso de que no te toque el asiento al lado de tus amigos/familiares siempre puedes preguntar a los empleados de la aerolínea si hay algún lugar donde puedan ir juntos sin costo y si no también a los sobrecargos (eso si, si vas a cambiar con personas dentro del avión PRIMERO pregúntale a los sobrecargos ya que ellos están a cargo de la seguridad del avión) siempre de una manera respetuosa y si hay espacio difícilmente dirán que no 😉

Fucking Spirit Airlines changed my flight from 5:30pm - 8:00pm to 8:35pm - 11:34 goddamn AM the next morning, with an overnight layover at fucking LA (which is nowhere near where I'm headed or coming from).
