i find myself feeling particularly weary & vulnerable today, feelings that i can’t quite explain. in truth, i’ve been neglecting many aspects of my life- some out of necessity, some out of convenience. regardless of where those aspects fall, the neglect has nonetheless left me feeling listless. i’ve found myself pulled back to my basics: my loved ones (particularly those i feel a sisterhood with), my practice, and writing. i took my practice to the bones of these emotions and placed only what served to ground me on my body: amethyst over my heart, clear quartz earrings to help clear my head, my great grandmother’s turquoise baby ring, and a moonstone ring to help protect me as well as embolden my bond to my june-borne daughter. i also put a braid in my hair, something i have been meaning to do for quite a while, to aid in protecting my vulnerable energies.

i say this all not to act as a guide, but in a way to celebrate my practice & my prioritization of spiritual wellbeing.

take care of yourselves, gentle souls. know you are loved beyond knowledge, cherished beyond comprehension 🤍

Sisterhood

Inspiration can find you during moments that you wouldn’t normally expect. Mine came to me a couple weekends ago during a bachelorette trip to New Orleans! I came into this trip with no expectations but soon realized how connected I feel to other women. It all started with a couple of drinks and an adderall. It gave us the gift of gab. While the others napped, myself, Best Friend #2 (Reference back to the Magician) and one other girl began to dive into deep conversations about our lives and relationships with others. Before we knew it, it was time to get ready and Best Friend #2 and I hopped in the shower together so that we could keep talking.

As I stepped in to meet her I found myself trying to cover up my body. I have a scar on my right nipple that bothers me so much. I’ve never felt truly free while naked because of this imperfection and I became a pro at manipulating my body in order to hide it. I’ve been fighting a hard battle with this fear when it comes to my new relationship with Michigan Boy. All I want is to come clean about it so that I can feel the freedom but a part of me just can’t.

So as I stepped into the shower and felt the urge to cover up, I stopped and thought. I want to share this with her. So I stood there with my chest out, as she looked. “That’s okay” she said and then pointed at her left nipple. “Mine is inverted”. So here we were looking at each other's nipples and talking about our insecurities freely. This was such a beautiful gift to receive. She gave me the opportunity to feel normal in my naked body for the first time. I haven’t even been able to feel this free with myself before. In that moment I realized just how powerful the friendship between two women can be and how we need each other for comfort and growth. As women most of us are fortunate enough to be in touch with our emotions and to feel things deeply within ourselves and within others. We are born nurturers, who should care for one another.

I have a dream…

I have a dream that one day I will bring women of all shapes and sizes, races and religions together. We will not force our relationships to form, rather they will just flow together as we go on walks through beautiful scenery, eat nutritious meals, and participate in various hobbies that we enjoy. We will come together as women to support the cause. We will come together to support each other in our journeys of finding peace and comfortability within. This will be a celebration of the magic that happens when we take care of eachother.

a sisterhood is just as detrimental to you as a toxic man. hanging around low value women will always slow down the process of your soul's evolution. they might not be toxic towards you but if they have a nature that lacks morality and principles — that makes them toxic. friendships are spiritual. when two walk together they are in agreement. so whatever they have come into agreement with. so have you. God will literally delay your blessings because of the people around you. that's how deep it is. your circle is important to your destiny. let go & grow.

you attract abundance when you’re in your ego. not when you let your ego control you, but when you control your ego and know how to direct your strengths into some type of creative process that you can persistently focus on. when you focus on taming your ego so that you can use it to your advantage. you need to honour your ego a lot more. i feel like, with the 2 of swords, spirit is saying that you’re listening to external noise from the outside world wayyy too much. you don’t need to look for direction and guidance from other people. other people can’t help you. you need to listen to your intuition. certain communities (especially the “new age”, phony ass ‘spiritual community’) will teach you that it’s a negative to be in your ego. no tf it’s not. your ego is your identity. who you are. if you don’t know who you are, then you’re a nobody. a pushover. with no morals, no personal values, no backbone (which is probably why those same communities promote toxic positivity and being a doormat for the sake of appearing like you’re all ‘love and light’ and shit). fuck all of that. you need to have patience with yourself when developing your ego because you may not even know who you are currently. once you do, you’ll find your courage and strength to listen to your intuition and invest into what it’s telling you. your ego is your life force. feed it with valuable energy by valuing it - regardless of other people’s opinions. only insecure people who don’t know who they are will get triggered by you. who gives a damn about them though? this is your life. start living it as the person who you truly want to be.
