Hungry?
Proverbs 27:7 “The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.” For thirty-one years of my life, I attended a denominational church. The formalism and ritual were the same in every church I attended. You could go, and the service and its components were the same throughout. Looking back, the power and presence of God were nowhere to be found, though a lit…

#spiritualhunger If you’re spiritual hungry, you’ll go to the Word of God; you’ll make whatever sacrifices necessary to eliminate what stands between you and God. If you’re spiritually hungry, you won’t be satisfied with “just enough.” If we ARE satisfied, it’s a sign that either we’ve been filled with something else, or for shallow results. Hunger is a sign of health. A person who’s not hungry is sick. Lack of hunger is a sign that there’s something wrong in our lives. ♧And you shall remember all the way which the LORD your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years that He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. And He humbled you and let you be hungry, and fed you with manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD. — DEUTERONOMY 8:2-3 Pastor Lucy Paynter https://www.instagram.com/p/CAEFJy8AWWb/?igshid=i4wf1is8yc2f

Mmm... Food... Snacks... Cravings... Most of us eat 3 meals a day... Or even several meals/snacks a day... And I don’t think I have ever met a person who has ever said “I don’t need food or I can live without it” As a matter of fact most people I know myself included get “hangry” especially if you make me wait until 2pm to eat lunch. So how is it that we are able to starve ourselves spiritually? God’s word says “I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread he will live forever. The bread that I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.” John 6:51 HCSB Consuming God, our spiritual food, is vital to living. Just like food and nutrition are vital to our everyday lives, God spiritual food is much more important. I encourage you to consume God and His word daily. We eat food for your physical body to live, we need to eat of spiritual food so our spirit isn’t famished and emaciated. Taste and see that the Lord is Good. He will provide us with all we need if we trust in Him and do our part to grow strong and healthy. #MelanieRivera412Life #BB32DAYS #BeholdingAndBecomingBook #BeholdingAndBecoming #WeBecomeWhatWeBehold #WeAreAllBecoming #WhatWeChaseShapesOurRace #RuthChouSimons #TheArtOfEverydayWorship #TillSinBeBitterChristWillNotBeSweet #InspireSpiritualGrowth #FoodForMySoul #SpiritualHunger #BreadOfLife #OnTheMove #TheClimb #Grow #SelfCare #Study #Inspiration #Journal #Goals #DailyLiving #Pittsburgh #Burgh #Pitt #PGH #SteelCity #PittsburghStrong #PittsburghProud (at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7tCGVipnpY/?igshid=12ldfmt3o8skc

After seeing the Lion, a beautiful tribute to family bond, we went to our local bookstore. While I was wondering through sections on metaphysics, religion and philosophy, looking for a particular book, I turn and faced this book. I've been reglistering The Power by Rhonda Byrne, who quotes Neville Goddard a lot in all her books. So this name has been on my mind as someone to look into. Here it was - and a collection in one book. Needless to say my baby bought it for me! Super excited to start reading it. All 579 pgs. In fact, I'm committing to finish it and apply the teachings in my life by Easter! #spiritualgrowth #spiritualhunger #nevillegoddard #metaphysical #newthought #powerofimagination #awareness #faith

Stuffed!
Deuteronomy 32:15 “But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.”
On a holiday borne out leanness, we find most Americans sitting at a table eating far more than their share today. This day in history came about after those who had come to this new…

Jonah
27 April 2016
After reading the book of Jonah, I remembered last week’s sermon about Spiritual Hunger. Charleston shared how we cannot neglect feeding our spirit, it was so powerful when he shared that:
1) Our hunger determines the supply
2) Our hunger has to be daily
3) Our hunger can be lost
I think for me, the second point struck me the most cos its so easy to let the busyness, especially during exam period to sort of put my hunger “on halt”, in fact, these kind of things still happen. But Charleston reminded me how we need a fresh word and revelation everyday. Daily!! For we pray, “Give us this day our daily bread”. He shared how Pastor Lia always prays before reading the word, for a word equal to her day. wow how amazing it would be if everyday I could be like Pastors, having a new word for each day. They are really my role models who inspire to be more like them, to be more like Jesus.
Also, Charleston shared how we cannot survive on our past revelations and words from God, we need to hear God continually. So here I am, hungering for more of God, for a new revelation! I read the book of Jonah and wanted to write about it somewhere so that I can remember it...
Anyway, I think the story of Jonah is beautiful. It showed me God’s heart for every single person on this Earth, and how much he loves them, whether they are Christian or not. For whatever evil, bad and ugly things that has already been done, God’s love and forgiveness will still be for them. Its so out of this world that Jonah couldn't accept it. Then this story also showed me how God can still use someone who has disobeyed him to do something great. Jonah showed me how it is possible to have God’s call so clearly in his life. How pride and complacency is so real in our hearts and we need God to teach us to take it away.. I’ve learn so much today just by reading for half an hour.
Today, I am in awe of God’s love, of how God teaches us and molds us. I want to be humble before You!
Was about to end this long post on a nice note of what God’s word is for me today, but I HAVE to write down this quote that Charleston shared last week. Still letting it sink in and really understand what it means to be a follower like this.
“Give me 100 preachers who fear nothing but sin, and desire nothing but God, such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the Kingdom of heaven on Earth”
- John Wesley
