SPN Fact #2
Kim Rhodes, who plays Jody Mills, once said during a convention that when she gets a Supernatural script she always flits to the end to see if there is a scene of her character dying, or Sam and Dean mourning her death.
She luckily has never been disappointed as Jody first showed up in season five and survives the full length of the series. She’s one of the few characters who hasn’t died or transformed into another creature. She remains human.

Fun SPN fact:
Many episodes are based on urban legends, myths, and ghosts (AKA “monster of the week”). Originally, the show’s concept had a blog/newspaper reporter investigating the legends and then writing about them in his column.
Eventually, Kripke decided against it and fell in love with the idea of the show being based on two brothers and family.

Fun Fact
Jared Padalecki does not pay for a haircut. There are people who work for Supernatural who get paid to cut his hair, so he just lets it grow during hiatus and then they have to cut it for the show.

Regarding the 13x06 hug spoiler pic, Cas isn't hugging back because Misha is too buff to even raise his arms in that coat. 💪

Aaand not only are they worth 2 cents they can also be used as obolus to remind a nachzehrer of them being already dead. Just put it in their mouth (make sure you really use a pure copper penny) and behead them to really kill and stop them from building an army or killing people and stuff.

Who here has played or taken a look at the new Supernatural Trivial Pursuit game? Husband and I played it last night, and some of the facts were wrong. 1. A question asks what Dean's occupation was when he lived with Lisa and Ben. The answer on the card was "Pest Control." He was a construction worker, though. I even rewatched "Exile on Main Street" to confirm. 2. A question asked whose wedding ring Dean wore on his right hand through Season 5. The answer on the card was Mary's. This is a misconception, though, I believe. My search through the interwebs compared his ring to a shot of Mary touching Dean's face in "Dark Side of the Moon". While his ring does has a deep groove in the center, if you look closely at the shot of Mary touching his face, you can clearly see it's her engagement and wedding rings stacked. Her engagement ring is just twisted a little to the side, pushing the stone off-center. Also, Mary's rings are gold. 3. There were a few others I can't remember off the top of my head right now. I need to look back at the ones we set aside to fact check. Input? Comments? Fact checks for my fact checking? Tagging a couple wonderful observationalists and meta-gurus. @treefrogie84 @mittensmorgul

@jwakajoma asked me to look up “love” in reference to this post about my spn script corpus.
(PS I did not know you still followed me? I assumed you wouldn’t after you saw how spn obsessed I truly am. Have I turned you into a fan yet?)
So.
“Love” occurs 517 times throughout the series, while the variation “loves” occurs an additional 39.
Then there is the variation “love’s,” (as in “love is”), which occurs 4 times.
“Loved” came in at 126, with one “beloved” and one “unloved” on top of that.
“Lovebirds” occurs twice and “lover/s” occurs 16 times.
The phrase “I love you” occurs 64 times, and from a glance at the lines in context, it seems to be primarily characters who are only in one episode, such as romantic partners or parent/child combinations.
But here are a few specific ones that jumped out at me:
Sam says “I love you, Jess” once in 5x03 when it is actually Lucifer.
The only time the phrase “I love you, Dean” occurs is in 2X20 in the djinn dream.
Mary says “I love you” to John in at least one episode, 4x03.
Dean says it twice to Mary in 5x16.
Gabriel says it to Lucifer in 5x19.
Bobby says it to Sam and Dean in 6x04.
Cas says it to Sam and Dean in 7x21.
Charlie says it to Dean in 8x20.
I know this is way more than you were asking for . . . I got a little carried away.

Tumblr media
What… what… God, you’d think they’d just use WATER. Is this true?! I mean, I guess I could see how it would… bead up better for the camera but ewwww! Poor guys! Getting lube tossed in their face all the time…
Update: I haven't been able to confirm this anywhere from a primary source and I really think they'd just use water. lol So, reblog with caution...
