Angels’ seals — Elucidation Of Necromancy (Lucidarium artis Nigromantice), attributed to Peter of Abano.

I don’t know why those angels have seals and not the others (except the archangels — see under the cut), but what’s neat is that Castiel has one and since he’s the centre of the universe, that’s perfect!

If someone knows why they are referenced as subservient spirits of the air, please share. I’m waiting on another book and I’ll post my findings once I have it.

EDIT: How do we show appreciation to the volunteers? For me reading these deep dives on OTW issues u guys apparently it's been said multiple times that one of their objective statements is to have paid staff for ao3 and there's a surplus of donations they haven't used up or the other community solutions that needs to address. For those more financially literate feel free to analyze, snipe me or add to the discussion etc. linked here by deepa. They’re cool and these yearly analysis they did aint no joke.

But Seriously what can we do for these volunteers? The probable burn out from this entire fiasco would be no joke. @ao3org

Which episode drove you nuts, in love, sad, angry/furious, happy af, wtf?

Drove me nuts: 12x03: The Foundry: Mary had the chance to get to know her sons after being dead for over 30 years but she decides that she needs to leave them in order to find herself. Just look at Dean in the last scene. You can see he's hurting.

Love: 11x04 - Baby: I liked the way they filmed the episode and that the brothers called the car their home.

Sad: 15x20 - Carry on: It was the end of an era and of Dean Winchester.

Angry/furious: 1x12 Faith: Not the plot of the episode but the fact that Sam calls John to tell him Dean is about to die and that bastard didn't even answer his call.

Happy af: 15:10 The Heroes' Journey: Again, not the case or the main plot. Garth having a happy family and the babies called Sam and Castiel made me happy.

I went down a rabbit hole on my old spn blog looking for something last night and found tons of my old ficlets, edits, and metas. some of it inspired some Steddie ideas, too— unintended consequences.

anyways! one of them was a meta I wrote back in 2012 about Death and God as brothers, about Death being the one to save Cas a trillion times because God abandoned them all, he was absent at best and neglectful at worst, but Death knew Cas had important things to do. Death remembered the story he and his Brother outlined for eternity before the initial singularity, remembered that Cas was made differently with a soul and conscience of his own, remembered that Cas would be King some day. but he never let Cas remember that it was him so that Cas would maintain his faith in Heaven. 

all of this to say: 20 year old Lex pummeled current Lex and I’m so proud of her.
