Now, the dreaded Atlanta game think I am going to format this one a little differently to flow better. Some big names were out of this game, and we lost one during the game. David Baktiari, Aaron Jones, and Christian Watson are all ruled out for this. On top of this, we lose Elgton Jenkis to a knee injury. These are all key contributors and big losses to the team. We started out with Rasheed Walker at left tackle for most of the first half. This move caused us to get beat on multiple run plays, making AJ Dillon look horrible because he was fighting tacklers as soon as the ball was handed off. This was also the reason we abandoned the run and went into quick throw mode. When Walker was finally replaced, the pass blocking got tremendously better, but the run blocking was still horrendous. Why we kept trying to run left I haven't figured out yet. Love did well again with his midfield throws and was very accurate when needing to bullet a pass somewhere. But when he needed to throw the deep ball, things were status quo, and he is still under or over throwing receivers. Three of these were sure touchdowns where receivers got wide open. The receivers looked a little lost and ran the wrong routes a few times, so we can't pin the whole passing game on Love or can we because on his quarterback sneak he used the wrong code word and gave us a five yard back up. Speaking of backups, what about that call to not kick a 57-yard field goal after the penalty. A delay of the game penalty. The offense all game looked unmotivated. The special teams looked flat, and the hole team had no sense of urgency in the first half, and that is on the coaching. We went into halftime, barely beating Atlanta, a team we were slated to beat. We only played about a quarter in a half of football in this game, and the third quarter was what we needed to bring to the table the whole game. Good blocking, good, running good defense. The Packers' defense looked good except for some critical dropped picks and some miscues early in the game, but as the game went on, they became gassed due to play calling on both sides of the ball. We started acting like we had the game won going into the fourth quarter, and the gas petal on offense let up, leading to three horrible drives putting a gassed defense in bad position. This was in combination with Joe Berry placing a bear defense on the field, which led to major mismatches in the passing game. This, in turn, caused us not to get off the field on two consecutive third downs and a fourth down that helped seal the game for the Falcons. We didn't actually lose the game until the last drive. Why did we stop utilizing our tight ends from halfway through the third quarter to the end of the fourth. We needed about 37 yards to get in the fieldgoal range. Utilize the big body sideline throws to the tight ends and chunk plays to the boundaries and kick a 60 yarder if you half to but at least try. We seemed to give up on the last drive. Going back to the run game utilizing one running back all game especially one that is designed for bruising and bashing not cutting would wear anyone down lack of substitutions a long with very poor run blocking was what caused the second to last drive to stall with three straight runs the dude was gassed. We need to get better about having confidence in our players and utilizing our rotation even when things aren't heading in the right direction. The coaching staff has to do better about putting these guys in the right position to win and in the Atlanta game, which was winnable for sure our coaches got out coached didn't take the necessary risks to win and didn't put our players in the best position to win. Attrition and intelligence win games, and we didn't win in either category this week.

World Cup 2022 : Argentina vs Mexico Football Match Highlights
Tumblr media
UMASHREE ROY : Lionel Messi came up with another crucial goal for Argentina in a 2-0 win over Mexico on Sunday that ignited the team’s World Cup chances. Messi took a touch from Angel Di Maria’s pass across the face of the area and drove a low shot from 25 metres into the bottom corner in the 64th minute. He ran towards Argentina’s fans with his arms outstretched before getting mobbed by his jubilant teammates. He looked emotional as he grabbed and shook his jersey, then blew a kiss to the crowd. Substitute Enzo Fernandez added a second goal in the 87th minute.
In the last game, Kylian Mbappe scored a second-half double as France became the first team to book their spot in the World Cup knockout stage on Saturday by defeating a feisty Danish team 2-1 in a tense encounter. Earlier, Poland bolstered their chances of reaching the World Cup’s last 16 for the first time since 1986 after goals from Piotr Zielinski and Robert Lewandowski killed Saudi Arabia’s efforts to advance a game early. In the first match of the day, facing a must win situation in Group D, Australia came out strong against Tunisia to register a 1-0 win and keep their Round of 16 hopes alive. It was only a third World Cup finals win for the Socceroos, who took the first half lead with a Mitchell Duke goal.

women's sports is one of the loudest and most successful anti-patriarchy campaigns in human history. what women's sports did and does is prove, over and over again, the excellence, the raw power and strength of the human woman. it completely disrupts ideas on gender.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
you have big, powerful women in rugby. fast, endurable women runners. impeccably strong gymnasts. women with strong, large bodies that take up space. that are HEALTHY. they are not RESTRICTED or ladylike. they are free of the stillness/deadness that femininity demands. no corsets. no (aesthetic) thinness. no hourglass bodies for gawking. women's sports screams to society "we are fully human, not objects, not small men. we are not domestic dolls. we are hunters and foragers. fighters."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
why do you think men are so vitriolic about it? why don't they want women in football? why don't they want it televized? why do they keep harassing female basketball players? why do they insist on dressing women in sexualized uniforms? why do they now make it taboo to exculde men from women's sports?
i firmly believe it's because women's sports tears patriarchal gender ideology apart so effortlessly. it completely spits in the face of patriarchal political propaganda and shows how null it is. it forces all of us to view women as full, as the beginning of human excellence, as central to human history. not as decorative sexual objects, no matter how men want us to be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
that's why there's so much aggression and derision when it comes to women's sports from men. because women's sports destroys the idea of femininity and depicts women as non-derivative. women must be monsters and cannot afford to play into the childlikeness that femininity demands. the arena of sports forces us to focus on women's physical performance rather than appearance. their strength rather than how attractive they are. their skill and strategy. their humanity. it is a form of entertainment where all female roles are agentive and active rather than passive.
Tumblr media
women's sports events are also hotbeds for female and lgb solidarity like you have no idea!
y'all need to start watching women's sports. not only because it is exciting, but it deprograms the patriarchal bullshit out of you so fast. you realize how much is possible. how much we can all achieve right now.

Greenbay @ Chicago bears
Matt Lafleur head coach
In the first game of the season, the game plan was solid, taking the small 5 yard checkdowns, sustaining drives, and utilizing all of the players within the system to get things done. This said it's easy to say that Lafleur was amazing in this game because Aaron Jones made him look like a genius. There are still some issues with his conservative play calling that cost us sustaining more drives than we did. Taking the foot off the gas in the current NFL is a recipe for disaster, and fortunately, with the Chicago bears, the star players hid the inefficiencies of the offense. The offense coaching grade for this game due to efficiency and time of possession would be a solid C+ only because we beat the bears in the soldier field without arguably our best receiver.
Joe Berry - Defensive Coordinator
Defense that is created to generate pressure in return causing turnovers a bend don't break philosophy that has been in Lambeu since we switched to the 3-4 defense in the capers Era. I honestly believe this defense does not play to some of our star players' strengths. In this game the players again made Berry's play calling look amazing yet he still called zone defenses in 3rd and short situations allowing more third downs than necessary also not using a spy on a player that can burn you with his legs is unacceptable. Berry's refusal to adjust the game plan when not working is wasting our young, talented defense and not utilizing their skill sets that put the best player on the field the biggest chance to succeed. This said solid turnovers by our best players brought us closer to the win, even with poor defensive play calling on Berry's part. Berry gets a D+ again only because we beat the bears.
Rich Bisaccia - ST - Asst Head Coach
Special teams looked flat and uninspired at times and would end up out of position for kick returns and punt returns. The blocking was atrocious, and the players were continually out of place, causing quick tackles and easy close ins on the returnees. On punts, field goals, and kicks against the packers, there was very little drive or determination to block or tackle. This coming from a coach that's known for instilling fire in his players in this game, the fire just wasn't there. The lone bright spot was the 57-yard field goal from the rookie kicker. We won, but it had very little to do with special teams and again a lot to do with the star players on our team.
Luke Butkus - Offensive line coach
Face it without the screens end around and gadget plays we did not have a running game whatsoever. This can not be blamed on the running backs themselves this week. Dillon has come under extreme fire for his running ability. Remember, he is built to be a bruising cold weather back, not an every down starter. This game over half of his runs were met by tacklers in the backfield from horrible run blocking from the entire front line. Pass blocking was phenomenal, but we half to bloc well in all facets of the game, and in the running game, we did not execute appropriately. O-Line coach C+ for his pass blocking, but some points were deducted backseat. Our running backs were getting touched in the backfield on every run play.
Final thoughts I loved seeing us beat the bears in their house, but there are some things we need to clean up to get to the next level. Stubborn play calling is going to be the demise of Leflore and Berry if not careful. McCarthy once got so stale in his play calling that after being fired by the pack, he took a year off to study the new NFL and came back a better coach for it. Lafleur and Berry need to step back re asess and create a more diverse game plan. If the couch coaches can guess what you're going to do next, your game plan has too much vanilla in it. Holding players accountable and to higher standards would go a long way in making the difference between a contender and pretender. This team has very little confidence, lack of motivation, and no sense of urgency. This is on the coaches to create an atmosphere that shows the fire and will to win right now. We are lacking this key ingredient.
Jordan Love - QB
He was efficient and did his job, protected the football, and made key plays to win this game. The problem is he could have scored touchdowns on three more drives if he could just learn to float bullet or finesse passes when he needs to. At times, he shows pinpoint accuracy and can make the throws between the tackles. But when you get him throwing downfield, a lot of his throws are severely overthrown or under thrown this will come with time and experience he definitely has the arm we have all seen it he now just needs to learn how to control it. I like that he is a pocket passer first, then utilizes his legs when needed. In this game, his command was crisp, and we saw a good but not great YET quarterback.
