Was gonna post something pithy/pissy to the kitted out bedazzled MTBers that give me side eye for riding in a 10 dollar flannel but instead you get a PSA. About 10 minutes later came upon a rider down. He was in and out of consciousness, girlfriend on 911 and calm but EMS could not locate. Used the Spot to send location. Hoping he makes it ok. Negotiating the N2 gauntlet as we make our way back to The Hoek after two weeks in the laid-back #EasternCape. The #OutdoorStoke is strong within us, though, courtesy of blissing out on the profusion of waves, trails, rivers & back roads brimming within my home province. From the #Jbay beaches, we headed into the heat wave of the #noorsveld #karoo for a family #Xmas break, then immersed ourselves in the aqua embrace of sub-tropical #slummies. A #surf paradise, indeed, but the good news is that the #coffee and cuisine is kickass, too. The final couple of days of our return journey saw us back near #crossways, the best place to indulge in #trailrunning and #mountainbiking in the whole of the #adventureprovince.
