I have no real desire to get involved in ship wars (And really, this isn't about shipping), nor do I want to argue over what I would/wouldn't like to be canon. I stick to enjoying what I enjoy with fellow freaks on the internet and leave everyone else to it...
But I must admit, it's slightly disappointing to read some of the takes disguised as feminist when in reality, they are arguably quite harmful and seemingly rooted in misogyny which are being shared around.
Women being in love does not "cheapen" their stories.
Women can be powerful characters and still be in love.
A woman being in love does not make her weak or any less powerful.
Women can be fully-fledged, powerful and 'badass' characters and still be in love.
If you think a 'powerful' woman having a romantic relationship makes her weak, it kind of seems like because falling in love and romance are seen as feminine, you actually just think a woman's femininity makes her weak...
I really wish there could be an acceptance that women can be both strong, powerful, intelligent and in love. Women do not have to choose, in life or in fiction. And there is rarely the same attitude when it comes to male characters. I never see anyone say that being in love would make a strong, independent man weak.
Anyway, I personally think that female characters who have been through horrible things deserve a happy ending and it does not weaken them to allow them to have a romantic partner. Being strong is exhausting and having someone there when they need a break after a busy day of being a girlboss is totally understandable, healthy and acceptable.
In conclusion, let powerful women fall in love!!!

i love jackbox extremely dearly but honestly between “sequel slot being filled by a game that ran entirely on user generated content in the first place” and “game i literally intend on consulting my therapist about before playing” i can’t say i’m as hyped for pack 10 as i’d like to be

I'm rewatching American Dragon: Jake Long and got to the beauty pageant episode and when the host of the beauty pageant said his name I was like "huh that name sounds familiar, is it an actual real person?"
AND IT WAS
the host for the magical creature beauty pageant was Monty Hall, the famous host of Let's Make a Deal. and not just that, but they managed to get the ACTUAL Monty Hall to voice his animated self.
which, on the surface, is great already. but then you think about the context of this show. Monty Hall couldn't be a regular human if he's hosting a magical creature beauty pageant in this show bc humans aren't allowed to know about magical creatures.
(Spud and Trixie get a pass for Plot Purposes and also aren't hosting literal televised beauty pageants)
so in the world of American Dragon: Jake Long, the famous TV host Monty Hall has to be a wizard or something like that. some sort of magical being that looks like a human.
but it goes even deeper. bc American Dragon: Jake Long crossed over with Lilo and Stitch: The Series. and you know what else crossed over with Lilo and Stitch: The Series? Kim Possible. and The Proud Family. and Recess. and possibly something else that I'm forgetting.
so in ALL of those TV shows, Monty Hall is not human.
I fucking love this show.

I was gonna follow your blog b/c you post good content but then I saw you're one of them aka the worst aka Dinbo shippers...... seriously after everything that happened recently lmaooo dead ship💀 so no follow
If that is what you have to do to keep your peace of mind online I bear you no ill will and wish you all the best! I'm glad you enjoy my content and thank you for the compliment, but I do question why you felt the need to tell me this anonymously.
I mean, if you were expecting it would make me alter what's on my own blog then... no. I post for myself, for no one else and sure it's really nice when people interact with my posts!! But this is my little corner of the internet where I can enjoy what I want. I personally would not have fun if I felt as though I was creating content with a certain audience in mind. So, if my blog contains occasional Dinbo posts including my own fics (which I'm very proud of) then that's what I'll do!
I truly am not interested in ship wars, in analysing what actors do or don't say or saying why or what people should/shouldn't ship something. I just look at what's onscreen. If you see it... great! If you don't see it... also great! I don't personally understand why people ship Din with certain characters, but I also don't go around telling people who post about them that... or try to drag anyone into ship wars by calling their ship dead or whatever.
I very much live by ship and let ship (I even ship Din and Bo with other characters myself) but if it's such a huge squick for you then I honestly will not lose sleep over you not following me.
Also... I understand disliking certain groups of shippers for what can sometimes be very understandable reasons but tarnishing everyone who enjoys a ship with the same brush, like calling them "the worst" or just flat out saying a ship is dead because maybe you personally can't see the romantic elements is veering into toxic fandom territory. I know frustration can boil over sometimes and I get it after recent events... but I remember when shipping was fun on tumblr, not a competition or a reason to actively spread hate to others.
I really wish we could get back to that and for my part, I promise to always do my best to keep a positive space on this blog that welcomes all Din and Mandalorian ships and headcanons, regardless of whether I personally share them. And reminder that I am no more responsible for the actions of anyone else who happens to ship the same thing as I do, just as you are not responsible for the actions of people who ship the same things that you do :)
