Are you guys recapping the finale on the pod? No rush! Just want to make sure I didn’t miss it!
We are! We already recorded it, but I only finished my finals today, so I won’t get to editing until tomorrow after I go home for the holidays. It’ll probably be up at some point this week!

I don’t have any hournite fluff but I might have something that makes you chuckle!
I’ve been listening to the Stargirl Squadcast for weeks and I mean WEEKS (bc my mom is watching SG for the first time and I wanted to run through the episodes but didn’t have time to watch them) while simultaneously keeping up with your acct for YEARS. So I’ve been reading your theory’s here and sharing them with my mom while also sending her snip-its of the podcast. Then realized two(2) days ago that you were literally the same person.
ik its silly but It made us laugh and now Stargirl Squadcast is one of two (2) podcasts that my mom subscribes to 🥰
I AM the same person! I’m sure my irl voice and my writing voice sounds a bit different. That’s so cute though, shout out to your mom!! This made my day :)

i genuinely think we share the same brain!!! i was about to suggest a brain rot for what you just wrote but you captured it perfectly! this is why i love you! i feel like we share a lot of the same brain rot and i always see them doing things and it makes me think of inserting myself or whatever into the scenerio oops.
idk if you saw a lot of the twitchcon content from the weekend but i thought of streamer!reader who’s dating sap and she’s their 4th member of their twitch rivals team and just the energy would be insane 😭
-🐬
no cause i do the same thing with the inserting😭😭😭 we might just be mentally ill.... but it just so much fun tbh
ive seen like a two clips from the twitchcon rivals so id have to go see some more to really write about it. BUT YES. people would lose their shit just seeing the four of them together. cause i feel like a lot of these teams are set up for groups of fours and people would live for the idea of the four of them always being able to be on the same team.
but that reminds me of ✨️manhunts✨️ because they people would love seeing the progression of just the four of them for a bit before its five hunters and so on.
ALSO in the 'three people control one minecraft character' dream mentioned adding a fourth person. i can imagine that happening cause of reader and they control like... the block placing or something like that. idk
oh and i just saw an interveiw/podcast that nick did with squadcast and it was a lot about how he got his start on youtube and stuff like that and i thought about reader doing it with him (but that would have to be about my personal streamer reader so idk....)
okay that was a lot 😭 i actually just woke up and saw your ask and i had to reply. literally havent even gotten out of bed yet
okay have a good day 😭😭 -nony

Listening to the Squadcast and I've actually almost gasped when Lily started saying gross and misogynistic about Christy Golden. I know I shouldn't be surprised at this point but it's just so jarring when she's been complaining about WoW's/Blizzard's misogyny (only in regards to writing her precious blorbo tho, not with the, you know).
The cognitive dissonance is off the charts with this one, I tell ya
bashing real breathing women in order to defend the arian dream that is her fictional waifu and completely ignoring the real issues that affected real life women? completely expected coming from LO.

How did you go about recording the squadcast remotely?
We got a discord call with all of us recording our individual audio from audacity, synced at the beginning, then sent our raw audio to Lily so she could painstakingly edit it to be listenable and cohesive.

"Arielle & Ned's Daily Tips That May Or May Not Help You" Debuts Today
Tumblr media
This new podcast shows off podcasting at its most flexible, fun, and informative.
Now, we have a new podcast that is only two minutes in length, offering life hacks and lessons of high or no value, and is fun to listen to.
So, prepare to embark on a journey of everyday wisdom as Arielle Nissenblatt and Ned Donovan introduce their podcast and YouTube show, "Arielle and Ned's Daily Tips That May Or May Not Help You." The show is slated to launch today --December 4th, 2023 -- and will air five episodes every week. For those of you not in AP math, that's 10 minutes of fun and tips that can make your life better, or, if not that, at least more enjoyable. Hosted by the dynamic duo of Arielle Nissenblatt and Ned Donovan, the show promises to be an entertaining and informative daily escape, covering an eclectic range of tips that touch on various aspects of life. From personal hygiene and car maintenance to uncovering the best music gems and mastering the art of waking up early, Arielle and Ned will explore it all. Listeners and viewers can expect a lighthearted and engaging approach to daily tips, delivered with a unique flair. The hosts are passionate about making the show interactive and are open to suggestions from their audience for new and exciting tips to feature on the show. "We wanted to create a show that feels like a daily dose of inspiration and entertainment. Life is full of challenges, big and small, and we believe that sharing practical tips – no matter how quirky or unexpected – can make a positive impact on our listeners' and viewers’ lives," says Arielle Nissenblatt, co-host of the show. Arielle Nissenblatt is the founder of EarBuds Podcast Collective, a podcast recommendation newsletter. She is on the community team at Descript, an AI-powered video and audio editing software service. She hosts two other podcasts, Trailer Park: The Podcast Trailer Podcast and Feedback with EarBuds. Basically, she wants to help you find your next favorite podcast.
Arielle Nissenblatt is such a podcast innovator, industry cheerleader, and promoter of podcasting, she could be called the Princess Of Podcasts, The Duchess Of Downloads, The Viscountess of Video, and even The Sultana of Streaming. You get the idea. Ned Donovan, the other half of this duo, adds, "Arielle and I are people who love trying new things and optimizing our lives. We’re taking that passion and bringing it to audiences in a quick, digestible, fun format to add a little spice to your day." Ned Donovan is an actor and multi-hyphenate creator who calls NYC home. As an actor, Ned has performed on stages across America, and been featured in film projects seen on NBC, Netflix, SyFy, and more. Ned is a cast member on, and executive producer for, Encounter Party which started as a D&D podcast and has since grown into a television show currently airing. Ned is the founder of the first film festival experience for Fiction Podcasts and Actual Play content at the New Jersey Web Festival. I'm so jealous of Ned. He's so talented. He's multi-hyphenate (I had to look that up), and I'm not even multilingual.
"Arielle and Ned's Daily Tips That May Or May Not Help You" invites listeners and viewers to join the hosts on this exciting journey of discovery. From the practical to the whimsical, Arielle and Ned will share insights and hacks to navigate the complexities of daily life with a smile.

The show is produced by Play+1, the team behind the D&D TV series, Encounter Party.
The hosts will be experimenting widely with video formatting and production techniques, as a way of exploring YouTube’s new podcast integration capabilities.
Check out Arielle and Ned's Daily Tips That May Or May Not Help You. Every morning before school or work, you can get a daily dose of tips, laughter, and unexpected discoveries. All in two minutes. Hey, your toaster takes longer than that to brown your 100% sprouted rye bread.

Can’t wait for your guys podcast. I don’t think I’ll believe it’s the end until that comes out! So much to unpack with a series finale! Good luck!!
Omg, thank you so much for listening! I honestly won't be able to believe that it's over after that, either, but I promise it won't be the last you hear from us. We just won't be talking for way too long about this show weekly anymore (good news for the time I spend editing, I guess lmao). There are a couple things we still have planned! Stay tuned!
And if the show got revived in any capacity...listen, I'm not above returning to the podcast later in life.

I’m a fan of competition, but something about Descript / Squadcast using my filenames or file download source metadata to target a competitor (Riverside.fm)’s users doesn’t smell right for some reason. Just me?

Increasing the buffer in your recording software to 512 or higher will reduce dropouts and glitches at a cost of latency, or a delay between the time you speak and you hear the audio in your headphones or monitors. Typically, audio dropouts and glitches like these have a low latency buffer setting for recording or playback as the culprit. However, 90% of the time, a decent set of near field monitors will fix most monitoring issues. As you’re troubleshooting your audio, try listening on a different set of headphones, or monitors.Īdditional considerations may include your room’s acoustics or a need to properly EQ your monitors.
TWISTEDWAVE TUTORIALS PROFESSIONAL
This weighting can adversely affect your listening perspective when mixing, and can even make a professional mix sound off. Manufacturers often weight consumer speakers and headphones to produce what the manufacturer thinks is a more pleasing sound for the listener. As we discussed in An Intro To Studio Monitors, a good set of monitors will have a wide, flat frequency response, and represent your audio with clarity and precision. If recordings from other studios, especially music or voice from professional studios sound bad on your system, the most likely culprit is your monitors. Audio Troubleshooting When *All* Recordings Sound Bad If computer problems are a regular occurrence for you, too, then check out our guide on the best computers for podcasting and audio production.

If you’re still struggling with a computer microphone not working then head on over to our free online mic test which will help get you properly set up. You want to make sure that your input or ‘recording device’ is set to the mic you’d like to record with. This might be a DAW like Audacity or Audition, or it might be remote call recording software like Squadcast or Riverside. The starting point when a computer mic isn’t working is to check the preferences or settings menu in whatever software you’re recording into. Recording into a built-in mic is a subject of its own ( you don’t need to spend much at all to get a great sounding USB mic) but the bottom line is that you have something that should be picking up your audio, and it isn’t. Here, we could be talking about a plug-in USB mic, or the built-in computer mic itself. A common issue for new podcasters is their computer microphone not working. The only thing worse than bad audio is no audio at all. With that in mind, this audio troubleshooter guide focuses on identifying and preventing audio issues, as well as some tips for the production or post-production phases. Most of them remove sounds that are desirable, along with unwanted sounds. Many of them have extremely varying levels of efficacy. There are, of course, a number of quick-fix solutions on the market to help improve audio issues. In addition to these audible sounds, a number of electrical, telecommunications and utilitary devices can cause electromagnetic interference that affects the consistency and quality of recorded sound. Cars, HVAC systems, neighborhood dogs, lawn mowers and roosters often plague the recordist’s desire for clean sound. By troubleshooting your audio issues in the recording stage, you can save a lot of time and headache afterwards. Too often, podcasters say, “we’ll fix it in post,” for things that they could correct at the start. That is, the sound quality of your final product can only be as good as the quality of the sound recordings that go into the project from the start. Sound recording is a garbage in, garbage out process.
