Approach to learning outcomes so far

I wanted to come back to the brief in the middle of the project to check I am on track with the learning outcomes.

Learning outcome:

theories and concepts shown with research and critical reflection (development on blog, p-book and in final outcome)

 Approach:

theories 

- deconstruction of dance - research through choreography and steps

- representation/materilaity - making something physical and tangible out of something visual so the reader can interact with it - research through book design and critical reflection through experimentation

- education through design and movement - experimentation of book with steps, typography experiments etc

Learning outcome:

- show experimentation, identify problem and then show thought process to solve the problem(s) whilst thinking about viewer/audience

Approach:

problem identified: defining dance through design work/ navigation of experimental books

experimentation through typography

photographic, illustration experiments

book layouts for different dances

experimentation of book design and front covers ie counts and development

experimentation of size and cover design

Learning Outcome:

- show research of contemporary practise that is industry standard (on blog, p-book and through final outcome)

Approach 

a few examples (not all) - work by Magpie studios, work in Numbers in Graphic design book, work in experimental formats 1 and 2, work by Gerard Unger, research on different book layouts/ experimental book design, research on cuban design, research on srt deco typography etc

- show creativity and aesthetic judgement

Shown through process of developement of designs and book layouts.
