This “GLOCAL” concept pushed the Clarks brand to evolve itself within the Chinese marketplace. The TRIGENIC PRO is a heritage inspired lifestyle series that combined premium materials with a more than adequate Recycled Rubber and EVA ride under foot.

Brief

You will be assigned a selection of artwork images. You should research, investigate and analyse the art considering the points below.

Consider: Visual Communication, history, purpose, message/story, design, information on the period and the artist themselves just to name a few.

Once you have chosen your artwork you should dissect it completely. Look at the structure, colours, composition, fine details, shapes, layers, era and start to think about how you can incorporate this into your styling.

You must research into SS21 Fashion Collections.

You must provide 2 double page spreads to include two full high fashion looks that would be suitable sitting on the pages of any high fashion magazine.

Starting to research trends, we were given the task of finding images that relate to the trend and try to define what we make of the trend.

This task was to see how we could create a moodboard as a group and get inspiration on how to piece imagery together. Starting with the colour palette, we pulled photos based on the colour scheme and fit the brief. In this we see a lot of tulle, organza and chiffon with the sheer material being layered to create these pouf. As well as the romanticism with the flowers. The trend was based on a SS21 trend Homespun - Pretty Feminine and mistakenly taken the wrong year however, it does have some similarities with the S/S21 Resourceful - Soft Romantic.

Mistakes made with this is due to the limited time period it was a little rushed however, I do think the images help convey the same message but, the colours do go from a warm tone to cooler tones and when redoing/improving we would’ve adjusted the images to create a more even tone or find other images that connect together.

We also needed to add more text so that it told the story more clearly as it is very photo based as well as to make it clear of what we were trying to portray and help verbalise things that couldn’t be captured.

Although the image doesn’t match the topic I chose, it helps show how images can be collaged together to show a cohesive look through the colour scheme. This moodboard is more of a visual moodboard as there’s not really any text describing the materials and idea of it however, I do like how they use different markets to help structure the design concept.

Overall, the collaging of images is useful as it really helps to show the designs of what they expect in the upcoming trend year. I’ve understood what it takes to make a successful collage and what to include to help depict my idea across for others to reference and sense the outcome.
