The Security Building by Paul Nicholson
Via Flickr:
"the firm of Peabody, Stearns & Furbe designed the Security Bank Building in 1892. The building was home to the Noonday Club, an organization of St. Louis businessmen, for many years. The lower two floors are of pink granite with pink limestone and brick above. A prefab cast iron dome sits above the lobby and art glass tops the entranceway." From-- www.stlouis-mo.gov/
Bunjy, did you go to school in a prison or something?
pretty much, the yard was entirely blacktop asphalt with some halfhearted Foursquare grids spraypainted on and a single basketball hoop, and they let all the gradeschool classes out at once to fend for themselves...
also if you tried to climb on the 20-foot fence, you got yelled at :(
I kind of thought this was normal? but looking at the other replies on that post, it, uh, seems like this may very much not be the case...
So I went to St Louis recently. My dad is from there so we went to a cardinals game the week we were visiting his side of the family.
Tell me why I’m sitting there, drinking my tequila sunrise, and enjoying the view that is Tyler O’Neil and Nolan Arenado when the Riddler comes on the Jumbotron saying this is the real test of Batman, see if he’ll save a city he has no loyalty too. I’m still here so clearly he did, but that’s not the point.
Fuck you Eddie just wait till card night! You better be there or I’m gonna hunt you down myself!
Had a great day last weekend touring Budweiser and meeting one of their clydesdales! (And I love how they’ve supported the NWSL in recent years.) My favorite part (other than the horses of course) was trying beer directly from one of their ice cold finishing tanks.
