Authors Note: Sorry if I’ve misspelled some words. This is my very first fanfiction so I’m trying my best! I really hope you enjoy reading this <3

Reader is in love with Argyle but doesn’t know how to express themselves because they’re very shy and aren’t good with emotions.

💭Argyle was always such a sweet guy. Clueless. But sweet. And that’s what I love about him. I just wish I could tell him how I felt. But I can’t. And I hate that. I just wish my brain didn’t go numb when I’m around him. He’s been my bestfriend since day 1. I don’t wanna ruin that.

You see, I’ve always been a shy girl and expressing feelings are not my thing. It grosses me out to be honest. But when I’m around argyle, I feel so many butterflies and my heart races so fast that I think I should be concerned.

It could be as simple as “Hey, Y/N! Could you pass me the salt?” And I’d probably say something like “Salt your sir” I completely scrambled my words. But I don’t know why I’m like that. I’m never that way about anyone. But with him? I’m a different person.💭

“Hey Arggy” Y/N said as she walked up to the counter of Argyles work place. “Y/N! What’s up, my dude? Come for pizza?” He said as he walked in front of her to take her order.

“Isn’t that all you have?” She said as she grinned.

“Well, we have different foods, you know. Or you could just have asked for a drink. But I’m guessing you wanted pizza because you come here exactly about this time everyday for the same thing.”

They looked at each other with a wide smile on both their faces. “PINEAPPLE PIZZA WITH EXTRA PINEAPPLE” they both yelled in sync and earning a few glances.

Y/N looked around apologetically before bursting out laughing with argyle. “Hurry up” she said in a playful serious tone.

“As you wish, my lady.” He said in a playful tone back causing her to playfully roll her eyes and turn towards an empty table.

She placed her feet on the empty spot of the booth beside her before looking over at argyle.

💭Oh my gosh. He’s so cute. That uniform is seriously gonna be the death of me. And why does he have to smile at me like that. Is it weird to be in love with my bestfriend? Yes. But how could I not? Maybe Max could help me. Actually she’d just call me weird. Or hit me with a pillow. Or call me weird as she hits me with a pillow💭

I nearly jump out of my skin when I hear a tray being slammed against the table.

“Surfs up.” Argyle said as he chuckles at my reaction to almost dying.

“Damn it, Argyle. Was that really necessary?” I said as I snatched my pizza from him.

“Yes. Yes it was. I saw you thinking about something and I thought I was the perfect opportunity to scare you. You’re reaction was priceless.” He laughed as he sat in front of you

“Well, I’m glad you enjoyed it. You’re lucky I’m hungry or else I would’ve slapped you with my pizza. And who gave you permission to sit in my presents?” You ask as you took a bite of your pizza.

“I’m on break. So I decided to sit with my favorite person in the world.” He said as he secretly examined your features. Your heart races as his hand scoots next to yours, just inches away.

“J-jonathan?” You stutter as you pushed the other pizza to him in hopes of him not noticing your awkwardness.

“No. I meant you. Jonathan isn’t here right now, is he?” He said in a joking tone of voice.

“Well no but-“

“Exactly” he said as he took a bit of the other slice of pizza.

“Well, whatever.”

The two of you spent the rest of his break talking about your day and how argyle somehow managed to break the ice cream machine because he somehow mistakes it for a slushie machine. Don’t know how that even happens but it did.

Argyle sat with Y/N on the counter of the pizza place that has just closed. Argyle managed to get the owner to let them stay a bit somehow. “Okay, Y/N. This is the first time you have tried this. So, please be careful. Inhale” he said as he placed the marijuana on her lips. (I don’t know how to use marijuana so please don’t judge😭)

As she inhaled, she started choking as she pushed his hand away. “It’s okay, bro. At least you tried.” He laughed as he took a turn. “Oh god, Argyle. Are you trying to kill me?” She said as she dramatically gasped for air. “You’re so dramatic, Y/N” he said as he laughed.

They both burst out into fits of laughter. After a few minutes the laughter slowly died down and Y/N looked up to see Argyle looking back at her. A smile crept on his lips as she quickly turned away as she felt her face heat in embarrassment. “Um. It’s getting dark. Do you think we should head home?” She asked as she jumped down from the counter. “Actually Y/N. I have something to tell you.”

Y/N looked at Argyle with a confused look. Argyle gave her one last glance before holding the side of her head and pulling her in for a soft kiss.

After a few minutes, Y/N pulls away. “Argyle…” she began. “Wait, Y/N. Let me say this before you say something.” Y/N waited for a second before nodding in approval.

“Y/N. We’ve been best friends ever since we were small. Man, it’s been a long time. But I couldn’t imagine loving someone else. You’re so beautiful and that smile. Damn that smile. I love it so much. Everything about you is absolutely beautiful. I can’t look at anyone the way I look at you. You’re just so perfect. Every inch. I know you don’t see that but i do. And you’re so funny. Sometimes without even trying to be. And I love the time we spend together as we smoke and eat pineapple pizza. Sometimes I wish we could be more. You’re absolutely perfect for me. You’re the girl that I dream of marrying and having a family with someday. I love you, Y/N. It’ll always be you, my dude.” He says before she laughs.

She couldn’t find the right words to respond to him. Instead she pulls him in for another kiss. She runs her hands through his long hair as he placed a hand on her waist. “I love you so much, Arggy. I’d love nothing more than to be more than best friends.” She said as she pulled away from the kiss. “Will you be my boyfriend?”

“Yes. Y/F/N Y/L/N. I’d love to. Maybe I could even teach you how to be a proper stoner” He said as he smiled at her causing her to roll her eyes before shaking her head. “Yeah, no. I’m gonna pass on that.”

“Does this mean free pineapple pizza? Because I’m all in. I mean, not that I’m using you to get to pineapple pizza because that’s totally not a thing.” She said before giggling

“Sorry, Y/N. But I don’t think they like me already and I can’t just give away food to the homeless.” He joked as she smacked his arm playfully.
