I swept into a 1 PM today. And I swear my husband hadn't come and woke me up. I probably would have slep until 4 or 5 pm even though I think I would bet around 10p m.
Yesterday if I had not had to go out for groceries. And finish up a few things at the school announcing. I would have gotten up before 1 PM either.
Thanks to antibiotics, i'm getting over my cough, but I am just exhausted from the week dealing with the kids.
Tomorrow's start the last week before Spring break. But there are still 2 testing days. And I owe one of the afternoon classes a pizza party. Because they marginally beat out everyone else for good behavior in my afternoon classes.
When I went to school, we had the major assessment test once a year.
Now we are having major four hour tests every other month, 3 & 4 days out of that month, along with whatever regular testing all the subjects are doing.
1) these kids are being tested to death
2) By the time we have the actual staar trmest at the end of the year, they will either be so tired or so fed up, they are not going to take it seriously

Donors Choose Project: Learning Stations for Life Skill Success - Odessa, Texas $297 Needed
I teach Life Skills!! I am trying to increase math and ELAR learning stations for STAAR Alt success. Studies show that students learn more when they are having fun.
Having more activities for my students in our learning stations will help keep my students engaged regardless of their academic levels.
