Before and after.
One roll has all "pen 68", the regular ones and neon ones all in the order they appear on the website and then the metallic ones at the end.
The other roll has the regular and neon "point 88" in the order from the website (and 7 free spaces at the end.)
One box has all "pen 68 brush" pens and the other has all the extra pens of all types.
...
....
Don't like the order. But I'm tired so they'll stay that way for now.

Just saw your sketchbook post and I am amazed at how clean it all looks O_O /pos
So I was wondering, what materials do you use for your traditional drawings (all the stuff from sketch to final piece)?
BOY AM I GLAD YOU ASKED THIS *ahem*
Behold 😌
Tumblr media
For the sketchbook pages, I mainly stuck to these materials though ^^ these guys are my…
PRIMARY MATERIALS
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The green mechanical pencil on the picture on the left has 0.7mm colored lead in it! I alternate between blue and pink colored leads depending on what fits the overall color of the piece better.
Once I finish up the sketch, I line it with the black pilot ballpoint pen! I really like the control and feel of ballpoint pens for traditional lineart, because it gives a sort of variety in pressure I can’t seem to achieve with normal fineliners. I like to switch up the colors of the lineart too sometimes, hence the pink and red ballpens.
Then once the linearts done, I color them in with the stabilo highlighters, as pictured on the right! These guys are my FAVORITES. Sometimes when I’m just freely sketching I use the grey or peach mini stabilos. Although, they do tend to be a bit runny, ‘cause they’re meant for quick highlights and not multiple strokes over an area ^^; so you do have to be careful and quick when coloring with them to get an even coat of color!
Sometimes, though, when there are other colors or textures I want in a drawing, I use my…
SECONDARY MATERIALS
Tumblr media
Pictured above are all my alcohol based markers! The four on the left are neon sharpies for when I need that extra eyestrainy kick. The three promarkers with the pointy cap were from when I was a freshman in uni and wanted to collect a full set of alcohol markers, but these were the only colors they had in stock and the college supply store ✌️ I’ve since given up on that dream because they were really expensive ;; they’re really good for sunny grassy scenes though! The last dark blue marker was from a set of other blue markers, but the others have since dried out… I use it when I really wanna darken up a page, like for night scenes!
Tumblr media
This is my prismacolor set! I like to pair these with the markers, going in after the initial layer of color to give a bit of variety or shine. Some examples of when I use them would be for adding blush or giving hair a glossy sheen 👍
Tumblr media
These ones are my “fuck it” materials lmao
I use these when I really just wanna scribble something down wildly. I had these since I was in gradeschool and its quite frankly a miracle they still work? Oh, and the red and yellow twistable crayolas are missing because I vaguely remember giving them to some childhood friends for some reason 🤔
Tumblr media
My fineliners and gellyrolls! Haven’t used these much recently tbh. I’d used them for class before, but I never really likes how flat the thickness tends to be :/ the brush tips and chisel tips are cool though. I used them for that one yellow bdubs doodle to try and see if my opinion of them has changed ^^ it hasn’t. Moving on…
Tumblr media
Lastly, we have the special materials! The ones that don’t really go into any sets, or have nice applications. In order from left to right:
Wink of Stella - A brush pen that applies glitter through some sort of black magic. No idea how she works but I love her
Red Marvy Art Director 1400 - A red fine tip marker. Can’t go wrong with a bright red marker 👍
Golden Posca - My only posca marker. Figured if I should get one it might as well be something special.
Faber Castell Blue Highlighter - I use this alongside the stabilos. It has a really nice deep blue color ^^
And well! That should be everything! ^^ Thanks for giving me an avenue to gush about my materials lmao 🥰

Every Faebruary, I draw chibi butterfly fairies of my current OTPs. This year, it's Goldenheart.
Unsure how Ballister would get his cybernetic arm in this AU. So I skipped the whole subject by not drawing it.

favorite stationery items?
I thought of something fun to do on my blog that would keep me entertained for a while!
everyone and anyone can reboot this and/or comment with your favorite stationery items, whether you use them for school, bulletin journaling, or work!
I’ll start!
Zebra mildliners <3
Kokuyo campu binders and notebooks, grid paper tho as I’ve shifted away from using ruled/lined paper
Muji gel pens 0.5 (not the biggest fan of the 0.38 size)
Most gel pens in general
Brush pens! I’ve used zebra, tombow, etc
zebra milk gel pens (I think that’s what they’re called? They write so nice and the colors are so cute)
stabilo boss highlighters (pastel)
that’s all I can think of right now. But I am an avid stationery lover and collector. The bigger I can grow my collection the better!
so let me know what some of your guys favorite stationery items are! Ohhh and maybe mention your favorite websites and/or apps for buying stationery! I love kawaii pen shop and stationery pal!
til later, lovelies 🩷

what traditional art supplies do u like to use! :3 esp ur sketchbooks n pens!! I looove ur winter soldier sketchbook dumps <33
hey thank u!!!
i can't use fancy sketchbooks because i get anxious about making the art Good instead of making it Exist, so the one with dots on the paper is an old peter pauper press "essentials" notebook, and the grid notebook is one of the shitty amazon brand ones <3 cheap and easy. i also hate textured paper so that's maybe also a factor lkfjdhl
all the red and blue pen doodles are stabilo fineliners (my beloveds). brushpens are either pentel pocket brush (trustworthy! refillable!) or a kuretake no. 8 (friendly! refillable! AND you can buy a converter and use fountain pen ink which is what i do).
uhhh sometimes i use the kuretake bimoji markers which are VERY nice, but not as often bc they're not refillable so they stress me out? most black pen lines are from a bold twsbi eco my friend twsbi eco the best pen on earth <3

can you do a stationary/drafting tool tour some time? I love your posts! :)
Tumblr media
stationary, i can do !
drafting is a little more questionable because, well.. we don’t do a TON of drafting in violin making? the most i’ve done so far is use squares/protractors/compasses to make templates, but once i finish this instrument i can probably do an update of all the templates and drafting tools used to make them!
anyways, here’s my current stationary lineup:
i have a moleskine notebook (black leather), a midori md notebook (cream), and a rhodia notepad (black staplebound pad). they’re all a5 and 5x5 dot grids, which means there are 5 grid squares per inch or 2 grid squares per cm
the moleskine, i use as a formal lab book/diary for violin making. i hate the paper, but i like that the outside is durable and it can take a little throwing around the bench
the midori md is my personal notebook. i don’t like using it around my bench just because of how quickly it starts to look worn on the outside even with the plastic cover, but the paper is great and it’s lovely for journaling/drawing/keeping an agenda
the rhodia dot pad, i use for taking rough notes. the paper quality is great, so i don’t have to be as careful about smearing when i’m jotting stuff down quickly in pen, and it’s perforated at the top. i dont love how bright white the paper is—the moleskine and midori are both a creamy off-white color—but everything else about it serves my purposes to a tee
i have an a5 6 ring binder that i fill with that same 5x5 size dot grid loose leaf sheets, which is where i like to keep my notes on tool making/maintenance, since i’ll probably update them over time as i learn what works for me. the binder is from a 3 pack on amazon, same with the loose leaf paper, but i think muji has the same stuff.
the lovely white, almost lavender post it notes are my all time favorite color for stickies !!!! i bought an 8 pack in high school and have not been able to find them since. it’s pretty tragic. the brown ones are from muji though, and i like the size even if they aren’t super sticky.
the eraser i use is a milan 430 (??) it’s green and i like green and it erases, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
the ruler is a starrett c635 tempered steel w the cm/mm on one side and cm/0.5mm on the other. i didn’t pick this one out, but my teacher did and i’ve gotta agree w him, the weight and size of it really helps get accurate lines and distances.
the writing utensils from left to right are:
dixon ticonderoga pencil hb no. 2
staedler pencil 4b
uni kura toga mechanical pencil 0.5mm (the lead rotates as you write, so you get a really nice, consistent nib that breaks less !!)
muji white pen body with black 0.38mm ink refill
muji pen dark blue 0.38mm
sakura pigma brush tip archival ink pen
staedler triplus fineliner from the neon set (yes, i have tried the stabilo fineliners, no i do not like them. the tips are like.. cylindrical? so if you write at an angle, like most people, you’ll get inconsistent lines as you change direction. they’re cute to look at but not great to write with)
mildliner light grey highlighter
that about covers it? i do have a pilot .38mm pen [edit: pentel energel 0.3mm needle tip] that doesn’t smear as much as the muji pens, [but i don't like how the shape of the pen affects my handwriting] which i’ll add an edit for when i get home since i don’t carry them w me.. but yeah ! thanks for asking me, i love talking about stationary lolol

Hey! I love your art + style a lot! Especially your coloring in traditional art! I was wondering what you used to do those semi-colored pen drawings? Is it like a highlighter or a marker or...?
Thank you!
I use both highlighters and brush pens. Theres some other random brands in the middle but i mostly use Faber Castell and stabilo highlighters, and koi brush pens from Sakura (and Newpen sometimes). Might do a haul thing one day maybe
I have to admit, they can be kinda expensive but the trick is to slowly build up them. But also dont get a lot of highlighters you won't like or if you end up not even liking the medium, so start small. I reccomend beggining with greys so you see if that's for you and its also a good reliable way to color your stuff without having to think much, and then you can slowly build up with colors you want to test (or test on the store if you can and they let you)
I use the light grey stabilo highlighter (number 194. Stabilos have numbers for each of their colors, fun fact) and the koi brushpens in cool gray and dark warm gray. I think theyre a good three set of stuff to begin grey scale, since theres a light, a medium and a dark gray to work with (images for example)

I DO WANNA ASK!! WHAT OTHER PENS DO YOU USE BISCUIT⁉️
YAYYYYYY YIPPEEEEEEEE TEE HEE
WELL!!!
i may as well start with a more recent acquisition, the zebra sarasa clip, specifically the milk color set in 0.5 mm. jetpens shills HARD for zebra sarasa clips. anyway theyre mid as hell and are not representative of the gel pen experience - cheaper pens in novelty shapes write better than the zebra clips, but they do have a very nice almost pencil-y tactile feel because of it. in plain text, they're scratchy. the colors are wonderful though, EXCEPT for that damn white gel pen... if you wanna go really matte with your white pens or be able to write on dark paper, get a gelly roll or use a paint pen because god damn the zebra sarasa pens are TRANSPARENT AS FUUUUCK despite being advertised as being able to write on dark paper clearly. SCAM!!!!!!! but i do really like the colors and when i want a more pencily feel i go for them. they also make really fine, textured lines, which is nice for getting your crunch on (making ur art look purposefully crusty)
also. i am a believer in the tombow brush pens. my school had a sketchbox subscription they kept forgetting to cancel and so they had a few of them laying around and me and the other art girl were always passively slapfighting for them with psychic mind games. i finally bought one for myself and despite me usually not liking brush pens...... lads... its good.... its one of the first brush pens i've had that doesn't fray after using it like three times. so i can actually use it for fine AND thick lines without having to work around the shitty nib. looking at you faber-castell brush nib.
i have a couple different fineliners (felt tipped, water based ink) and theyre pretty alright. le pens are a great choice for writing, not so much for drawing. i like the staedler tripluses a lot, they're just handy for workhorse writing and consistent thin lines. stabilo point 88s are also good. i cant really tell the difference between fineliners a lot of the time because they're all very similar, le pens are the most distinct ones i've used because of their softer tips. you have to really baby fineliners so the tip doesnt get squished which kind of makes them a pain to use. oh also i used to love the faber-castell pitt artist pens for their consistent lines and firmer nibs but god damn they do NOT play nice with other art supplies. and as someone who swaps between mediums a lot it just isnt. ideal.
i used to be a rollerballhead but i've fallen in love with gel pens... they may smear easily but god damn are they goopy........... fuck yeah...... i'm SUPER biased towards gelly rolls just because i'm the most familiar with them, but they're super fun for doodling and have really vibrant colors!!! i also like them because sakura was the first company to make gel pens in the 80s - gel pens are super recent compared to other writing tools which i think is cool as fuck. theyre like. the future...... plus theyre just a smoother writing experience. shitty gel pens are 10000x better than shitty ballpoint pens. the pilot g2 is the best of any commonplace office pen fuck everybody else pilot g2 is my best friend
microns are fine i guess. i used to like them more in middle school but they're so sensitive to getting smushed that using them comes with Fear. i've never smushed one before, but i HAVE had friends ruin my microns when i lend one to them for like five seconds. i think they're copic-proof which is why people like them? i dunno. they're prone to fraying, the nibs just arent very good compared to other options
i REALLY wanna try a pilot frixion but i havent gotten any yet, i plan on buying a set early next year! they're erasable pens that use heat and friction from a rubber eraser to disappear the ink, which is super cool. but a warning: because they're heat sensitive (and their ink comes back when exposed to temperatures under 14 degrees fahrenheit!) the ink can all activate in the pen and become transparent if you leave it in a hot car. or your notes can disappear if you leave them in a hot car and you'll have to pop them in the freezer to get them back
OH OH OH OH i have generic brand paint markers (tooli-art) and they're great until they explode. i use the white one a lot because it's handy to have what is essentially a pen of white-out on hand, but i don't use the colored ones nearly as often because they're messy and...... a few of them have kind of exploded at the nib which makes them drooly and gross. the only posca i have is a brush one and the brush poscas are shittáy
i feel like i forgor something but this isnt a fountain pen rant this is about my other ones. enjoy

[SKETCHBOOK]
~ Pages 1 - 2 - 3 ~
I began this sketchbook in late 2022 and hope to finish it before the end of 2023.
[Page 1] : last redesign of Rita and an older experiment on her "Shaytani" design.
[Page 2] : expressions of Rita used for her character sheet.
[Page 3] : redesign of the "Chat-Pardeurs", little lion-like spirits who will be quite important in many of my works (Rita's story especially !)

I got a new inkpen yesterday, which I can fill with india ink and I‘m absolutely IN LOVE with it qwq
Tumblr media
Of course I had to make a sketchbook-spread for everything I have in my pencil case and take with me everywhere.
also I strive to have items that I can use for years and years and can swap out So from top to bottom:
Faber-Castell — mechanical pencil (the thiccc lead-refill kind): 6 years
Faber-Castell — ballpoint pen: close to 3 years (pf course I broke off the clippy thingy)
Indigraph — refillable india ink pen: got it yesterday
Pentel — brush-pen: 5 years (even tho they tell you not to do I am refilling it with india ink for 5 years now)
Stabilo Boss — highlighters in pastel orange and pastel violet: a 2 months (refillable)
Pentel — watertank brush: 5 years
Schmincke Horadam — 14 small pans of water colours in a travel size box: 3 years (I can get new pans whenever I run out)
What I also keep in my pencil case
MUJI — small ruler: 3 years
No-name — folder-stick (basically to help paper with a pre-folded line to fold) — 10 years
Faber-Castell — lead-refill pencil sharpener
Staedtler — Mars Plastic eraser: the only thing apart from refills I have to change it out regularly
A small ink vial with india ink to refill my pen.
If you would like an in-depth review on these, let me know!
Find me here! | Please do not repost 🧡
