I’m just going to assume that they kept Anthony and Sebastian separate at D23 because if they interviewed together they WOULD spill the beans that there’s Sambucky in CA:NWO or Thunderbolts or both.
and i play it on repeat (until i fall asleep) (T, 4.6k)
co-written with the unbelievably talented @saryasy, i love you so much baby <3
inspired by this stackie interview
“And for my last question, what’s next for you? Cap, you want to go first?”
Sam’s answer to this question has stayed the same throughout the day. He’s going to keep doing what he does best, fighting the good fight, protecting the people, and giving help to those who need it.
The thing is, all day, no one has asked Bucky what’s next for him. So, even though the way she worded it implied she’s asking Bucky next, Bucky’s completely blindsided when she turns to him and says, “What about you, Sergeant?”
There’s a long pause, Bucky’s mind blanking. He must have stared too long at the interviewer because Sam subtly nudges him.
So, without giving it much thought, Bucky says, “I’m gonna keep doing what I do best, watching Cap’s six and being an unpredictable, unstable human being.”
Looks like we have to wait an additional year for the SamCap and Thundercats movies. Sheeee-it.
Marvel, make this up to us. Here are some ideas how:
An Arbor or Earth Day animated special where Sam and Bucky plant a tree after investigating ecoterrorists...and then tongue kiss each other. If they can't book Stackie to do the voices use sound-alikes. It'd be worth it.
A What If episode taking place in Multiverse #169, where Sam and Bucky are super villains instead of heroes, and they still bicker, and still fall in love, and Sam still won't move the seat up.
Force Stackie to do an interview together, in the same room, to promote anything. Make it happen.
I have been curios about something for a while. I have been in quite a few fandoms, not only Sambucky and I wanted to know if you remember why you started following me.

“That’s quite hot.”

While i do think having Sam and Bucky in different movies is the right decision, i am going to miss stackie sfm. They are MY people and i keep going back to their int clips on yt at times when i am having a bad day. But i am also excited for the new dynamics of the thunderbolt cast. David is a riot, Flo is fun and chaotic ( she and seb can bond over dancing in the kitchen)
Anon 2: it doesn't make sense to include Bucky in Cap 4 // I feel like the writing was on the wall that he wouldn’t be in Cap 4. I got that feeling after TFATWS ended. Even with the cute “sunset moment” to end out the series. Bucky will always be a morally grey character which I LOVE so thunderbolts makes sense IMO.
Anon 3: I think Seb and Wyatt have a really good energy. But it's really hard to do a three-person interview on the red carpet, esp when they're not used to doing interviews together. It's not fair to compare that interview to two people who have done literally a hundred or more interviews together over the years.

If the person that submitted had to do a Stackie marvel junket.... That tracks lol, as fun as their interviews are, they're probably a nightmare for the interviewer who's trying to get a usable answer and get the two of them talking gibberish for five minutes instead lmao. Anthony Mackie at least is known for being extremely condescending with the press too, usually, but he's been trying to out on a more friendly approach lately to revamp his image a bit. It wouldn't surprise me if Sebastian is more engaged with some select people (Josh Horowitz for example) or media outlets but doesn't really bother making the interviewer job easier otherwise, there's some interviews from him even with more recent project where he's not putting any kind of thought into what he's saying.
This is true but also very different from being “the worst” to interview
