hey have you heard of news about Stalker 2?They are insane, like what the actual fuck. I am not Ukrainian, though I am Kazakh, and Stalker is probably THE most famous and influential game in any post-soviet country that was ever released.

The fact that the russian hackers just fucking said "let's not bring politics in our games, give us russian VO" when literally a member of their team DIED in war.

Oh yup, I've heard. Honestly, this level of audacity does not even surprise me anymore. They are pathetic and IMO, all their "threats" are empty - with the accessability of pirating, the choice of whether to play legally or not basically comes down to the question of morality. The people who believe in buying games would buy Stalker regardless of if russians "leak" anything or not; and people who pirate out of conviction will do so regardless of circumstances. If anything, these constant threats only bring attention to the upcoming game, so thanks for free marketing.

If anyone is not aware of the context, there is a great video that explains the history of the conflict between Stalker devs and entitled russian "fans". English subtitles are avaliable, but they are out of synch

honestly not sure how i feel about stalker 2 given what i've seen of it? like i hope it's good! i really hope it's good, just from the gameplay trailer it looks kinda....empty beyond the visuals (although obviously it's a trailer) and is gonna be another unreal engine monstrosity of like surface deep mechanics in favour of looking good. like the gunplay looked awful and not in the stalker jank way, just the kinda generic survival shooter way.

I know hardcore stalker stuff isn't for everyone, and i wouldn't want it to be like that, i just wish it had the really good gunplay of like Gamma or tarkov or something but with modern graphics AND the benefit of a proper writing team instead of like mod makers. keen to see how it turns out, i will be mad if it's bad but popular, and ppl flood into the community with their terrible game, but it would mean ppl would give me more slack for being a clear sky fan i guess.

man i hope stalker 2 is good im just so afraid from the trailers lol.
