Based off request by @mapplestrudel for Obi-Wan and the Birthday Cake:

The war has been too long already and they were only a few months in. So when Anakin commed Obi-Wan in an absolute tizzy he had assumed the worst but had found out that it was the fact none of the clones ever had a life day celebration that had actually set his former Padawan off. Now, staring at the mounds of ingredients spread between the pair of them in the Negotiator's kitchen, Obi-Wan was rethinking his offer to help his padawan bake enough cake to feed Torrent and Ghost.

Obi-Wan frowned at the amount ingredients spread out on the counters between him and Anakin. He knew, logically, it must take mountains of food to feed that many genetically enhanced super soldiers to match their metabolisms but actually seeing proof of the scale really opened his eyes to the realness of it. "Do you really think we'll be able to complete this cake here? This seems a little... extreme." He said and Anakin rolled his eyes. "I already talked it all over with the chefs at the temple and they assured me this would be enough. We just need to do it in pieces. Starting with the cake. These bags are all filled with premade cake mix made by the temple chefs because they said they didn't trust non-bakers using this amount of ingredients without messing up. They also sent me a step by step process. We just follow the instructions and it'll end in enough cake for all our troopers!" He said cheerfully and Obi-Wan sighed pulling off his cloak and rolling up his sleeves so they could get to work. "Hand me those instructions. Better get going before our Captain and Commander notice our absence." He hummed and the hardest battle he had fought yet began- the battle against the ovens. ------- Cody frowned as he met up with Rex at the mess tables. "Have you seen my General anywhere? I don't think I've seen him in the last three days of leave and I'm getting worried. He's never disappeared this long before." He asked and Rex shrugged. "No, Anakin hasn't been around either but he often leaves to go visit his senator 'friend' so I'm not too worried. Do you think Kenobi got kidnapped in the middle of hyperspace?" He asked and Cody groaned. "I wouldn't put it past him. At least his saber disappeared along with him this time so if he is kidnapped he's at least armed." He said and was surprised when a familiar voice cleared and he looked over to see Obi-Wan standing on one of the tables so everyone in the mess could see him. "Men, it has come to our attention that your births were never properly celebrated and as is tradition in our lineage we wanted to correct that with a proper celebration. As such, Anakin and I have made you both a thick stew for a meal and there is an individual cake for every single one of you. Please make an orderly line and we'll be serving you today. We are very pleased you were born and to have you as warriors fighting on our side." He said before hopping down and moving to stand behind the counter at the mess window to pass out trays with delicious smelling stew and little cakes that had each trooper's name and chosen armor symbol that they were known for or their number and a generic 501st or 212th for the shinies that didn't have names or symbols yet. Cody and Rex took up at the end of the line and when they finally reached their generals it was to see two very tired food splattered men who looked like they had been through the trenches with a food wizard. "Sirs... you didn't need to do this. We know you care about us." He said and Obi-Wan gave him a small smile as he offered him a little cake with a sunshine on top and his name. "You know but it never hurts to remind you that it isn't just words. You deserve actions too. Happy lifeday Cody. I am honored to have gotten to meet you and to be fighting by your side. You are an amazing commander and I know that when this war ends, it's going to be with you and Rex right at the front of the final battle." He said and Cody bowed his head accepting the treat. "And I know it'll be with you right by our sides. Thank you."
