OKAY Y’ALL I’M BACK ON MY TINFOIL HAT BULLSHIT

So I was listening to the CX-2 theme in the desperate hope there’d be a leitmotif clue somewhere, and I obviously didn’t find one, but what I did notice was the drums.

The beginning is just over thirty seconds straight of drums in this really erratic pattern that sounds eerily like knocking. And there’s another section in the middle that’s nothing but drums in the same knocking pattern. It really does sound like someone banging on a locked door. As if they’re trapped inside. Trying to get out.

I’ve fully accepted the fact that I’m probably clutching at straws here but if I’m onto something then what if they’re trying to hint to us that there’s someone trapped inside CX-2

That aside, the fact that he specifically gets his own theme out of all the assassins is just more evidence that this guy out of all of them is has to be narratively significant in some way. Everything points to Tech. The Kiners are geniuses, I wouldn’t put it past them to leave us the subtlest of subtle clues in the score

did anyone else notice that the main theme of the Ahsoka show is first foreshadowed in Rebels S3: E15 Trials of the Darksaber? what incredible musical storytelling! it's so powerful to think that that throughline has been growing alongside Sabine for more than 10 years, since she first encountered the intersections between Jedi and Mandalorian traditions, and began to own her own past and her own power.

I was just watching Star Wars Explained’s Lego live stream, when Alex Damon just casually blew my mind by saying that Augie’s Great Municipal Band is THE EMPERORS THEME sped up and in a major key!

This video is like 9 years old so clearly people other than myself have know this for a long time, but WHAT?! The THEMATIC IMPLICATIONS of this musical choice by John Williams are just so juicy.

We end The Phantom Menace on such a high note, but Palpatine got everything he wanted. It is his triumph. And now, he has a new and fun piece on the board, someone whose career he will watch with great interest.

i've always found it beautiful that even after some characters die, their themes always remain a part of the stories. luke skywalker may be gone but force theme will always be there as long as there's new star wars content. daenerys targaryen is never coming back but everytime i will hear the dragon theme in hotd, it will remind me of her. scores really immortalizes characters through their own themes.
