I doesn’t matter what kind of day I’m having, I sit down to read your work and I am instantly at ease. They have become a source of comfort for me these past few months and i am truly grateful. You have such a good understanding of these characters and craft such immersive worlds, I am just at awe. Thank you for sharing your talents and for creating such wonderful works of art!

Onderon: Favorite soundtrack

This isn't SW but..the first How to Train your Dragon soundtrack by John Powell. I do have it on my phone because sometimes you just need to re-experience that movie just through the music while on public transport. For SW.. I actually can't tell. I seldom focus on just one part of a soundtrack so there is too much to choose from.. but as I rewatched it more than once recently the music that plays over the scene of Luke trashing the Dark Troopers in The Mandalorian. Because I basically bawl my eyes out every time.

Naboo: Scenes I find the funniest

Any scene containing Chopper.

Sullust: Favorite lines

"I'm a Jedi. Like my father before me." "What is it they've sent us? - Hope." And I can't think of the rest right now because my brain is occupied with the ESC lol

"Spectres! Dinner!" Zeb's deep voice echoed through the mostly-empty hangar. The only ships present other than the Ghost were a few decommissioned x-wings, which made it an excellent playground.

"Come on, Spectre Seven,” Kanan said to the five-year-old on his shoulders. “Let's return to base."

"Copy that, Spectre One.” Kanan felt his son tilting the two knots Sabine had given his hair that morning, claiming they were steering yokes. He didn���t care for the style – he wouldn’t have even before he was blinded – but Jacen had been overjoyed about the upgrade to his ‘dad-wing fighter’. Kanan obeyed his pilot’s input and turned them back towards the Ghost.

“Oh no, TIE fighters incoming!” his son suddenly yelled. “Quick, time for some fancy flying!"

Kanan grinned to himself. Jacen loved to eke out every minute of playtime, and today was no exception. Gripping the boy’s ankles securely, he took a series of sharp twists and ducks while Jacen provided the sound effects to their imaginary skirmish. Kanan had to focus on his Force senses to make sure neither of them collided with anything in the hangar - he knew from experience that x-wings left a bruise.

Jacen made an explosion noise and lurched to one side. "I’ve been hit! Spectre Seven to Ghost, lower the ray shields, I'm coming in hot!”

If people were fighter ships, Jacen’s logic dictated that the Ghost was a cruiser. It hadn’t had ray shields before, though; Kanan wondered when those had been installed. He obligingly dropped one shoulder slightly so that Jacen was sitting at an angle, as though he’d lost a stabiliser.

“Negative, Spectre Seven,” came a new voice from the direction of the Ghost. “Our scanners report that your engines are unstable. Deploy your escape pod!”

Kanan felt Jacen’s excitement rise even further as the boy caught sight of one of his favourite family members. Kanan slowed to a stop; he was about to need his Force senses for something else.

“Deploying escape pod!”

At his son’s instruction, Kanan lifted him from his shoulders and tossed Jacen forwards, using the Force to extend his trajectory. About halfway to the Ghost, he felt the weight lifted as someone else took over. Jacen shrieked in delight.

“What’s going on out here?” He heard Hera come down the ramp, drawn by the excited shouting.

“General Syndulla, prepare to receive Spectre Seven’s escape pod!” Ezra called to her.

Kanan heard laughing as Jacen was deposited from the air into his mother’s arms. He couldn’t help but smile as he walked towards his family.

“Did you get shot down?” Hera asked her son in mock disapproval.

“There were six TIEs!” he told her excitedly. “I avoided most of them, but one of them hit the engines. I had to abandon my ship.”

Kanan heard a rustling as she set Jacen down. “Well your ship needs to lay the table.”

Jacen immediately ran over to where Ezra was standing.

“Can I sit next to Ezra at dinner? I didn’t know you were back from Dagobah!” 

“Sure thing, buddy. I can tell you about what I saw in the swamp!”

“Don’t forget to wash your hands!” Kanan called after them as their footsteps retreated into the ship.

He felt warmth as Hera stepped close to him.

“Interesting hairstyle, love,” she commented. 

“I know how much you love a cockpit console,” he joked, “so I thought I’d try out the look for myself.”

“Do you want to wear it for dinner?” she asked, fingering one of the knots. “Or would you like me to take it out?”

“Please take them out.” He considered himself lucky that Jacen had distracted Ezra enough that his former padawan hadn’t cracked any jokes about his appearance, but dinner would provide plenty of opportunities.

Hera’s lips were pulled into a smile when they brushed against his. She took his hand to lead him into the ship, where the sounds of their whole family echoed.
