95. “Come cuddle”

There were few things that Stephen wasn’t going to admit. He was stubborn, that was true, and he would have denied of needing help and he was the kind of man who submerged himself in his world, knowing it was the best way he could do things. But, again, he wasn’t one to hide behind excuses most of the times.

But when he was ill and he couldn’t let other people do his work. Like that day. He had no idea from which dimension he caught the bug that was actually bothering him so much. On top of everything, Tony decided to check on him exactly today. 

Strange knew that Wong was to be considered responsible for that. He could feel his fever forcing his eyes shut closed, and felt the Cloak wrapping him tighter when he started to be crossed by shivers of cold, but he decided not to pay attention to that, focusing at the best he could on the words that stopped having meaning a long time before. 

“Hi babe,” Tony said when he walked into the room. His dark eyes found his boyfriend immediately and he stepped closer, lips resting against Stephen’s while his hand reached for his forehead. Stephen knew that the genius was checking his temperature. And he also knew that it wasn’t lower than the day before. “You are burning - he whispered, instead, looking at the book. - What about you take a break?”

“I can’t,” Stephen answered, immediately and almost mechanically. “I need to understand from which dimension that creature came from. And if there are more of them.”

Stark didn’t reply. He just nodded and walked into the kitchen of the Sanctum, which was weird. Tony never took nos as an answer, especially when it came from the people he cared about. Stephen decided to count it as a winning and then went back to his book, knowing that it was very likely pointless. 

It didn’t pass long until he heard again Stark’s voice The man was lying on the sofa, a cup in each of his hand and a soft smirk on his lips. “I have tea, and you won’t have it until you come here.”

Stephen shook his head. The fact of not being able to smell the tea was annoying, but so it was the idea of Tony blackmailing him, which was why he decided to ignore the other man going back at staring blankly in front of him. 

“Come cuddle,” Stark whined a moment later, and Stephen wasn’t that strong to refuse his boyfriend that much. Rolling his eyes at the ceiling, he joined Tony on the couch and let the man’s arm wrapping around his middle, his head searching the comfort of his boyfriend’s chest. 

“Thank you,” He whispered. Tony smiled, helping him to take a sip of hot tea. “I love you.”

“I love you too, and I really hope I won’t catch this demonic bug, but it was worth it.”

obviously tony stark from marvel. he’s the most relatable character to me because he struggles with mental illness, can be self destructive, but loves the people he cares about the most with his whole and entire heart. 

another would be sansa stark from game of thrones because ive been used, manipulated, and hurt by soooo many people and i still end up on top lol. that and the quote “i’m a slow learner, it’s true, but i learn.” speaks to me so much

lastly, klaus hargreeves from the umbrella academy. he and i view ourselves as the family fuck up and we use sarcasm/humor as a coping mechanism. we also avoid certain conversations to spare ourselves from any more pain.

Well, I can tell you that the important/relevant ones are Natasha, Wanda, Carol, Hope, Valkyrie, Gamora, Mantis, Nebula, Sharon, Okoye and Shuri lmao

HA, yes you say that, but my original set had pepper, and not sharon or mantis. the biggest upset was the lack of maria hill and peggy (and i ADORE them, but you know people still yelled!)

Tony Stark + Stephen Strange

Tony: 

Why I like them: I can’t really find just one reason. Part of me is sure that there isn’t a rational reason either, I’ve always liked him, maybe because he’s a human and flawed character as there were very few when the first Iron Man came out. 

Why I don’t: Because he’s a self-sacrificing douchebag and died because of this! (no, seriously, I love him, you can’t ask me why I don’t like him)

Favorite episode (scene if movie): I LOVED Infinity War, but my favourite MCU, and therefore Tony’s, movie is and always will be Iron Man 2. (Ok, I misread and it asks for favourite scene, I’m dumb) Anyway, the real answer is the scene when he finds and creates the new element. The entire sequence, from the moment he realizes that the atomic structure is hidden in the plans for the Expo to the tank top scene (aka the arms-porn scene) is simply beautiful and totally give an highlight on Tony’s character better than every other scene. 

Favorite season/movie: I’ve already answered, but again, Iron Man 2

Favorite line: "Well, you can forget it. I am Iron Man. The suit and I are one. To turn over the Iron Man suit would be to turn over myself, which is tantamount to indentured servitude or prostitution, depending on what state you're in. You can't have it.""Look, I'm no expert...""In prostitution? You're a senator. Come on."

Favorite outfit: Tom Ford’s suit from Civil War

OTP: ironwidowstrange (don’t make me choose between ironstrange and ironwidow, I can’t)

Brotp: Rhodey! (special mention for Bruce too, but Rhodey wins)

Head Canon: (I’m going for a childhood headcanon because I don’t want to include any ship or the likes, I want this to be about the characters) He really loved his father and, at first, Howard was a good dad, they had a good relationship until Tony was like 10 or so. He tried to do everything in his power to go back to the relationship they used to have, but it wasn’t his fault, he always wondered what happened to his father. Meeting him in the past, speaking with him about having children tried, somehow, to understand that Howard was only scared of the person Tony could become when he was an adult. 

Unpopular opinion: pepper as endgame relationship? not such a good idea. 

A wish: there was a voice that RDJ might sign for a Disney+ TV show, please let this be real. 

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: well, it actually happened

5 words to best describe them: hero, genius, most wonderful human being. 

My nickname for them: I don’t have one, actually. 

Stephen:

Why I like them: Because I can recognize a lot of him in me and it doesn’t happen so frequently so, yup, I think this is the main reason why I like him so much.

Why I don’t: same as Tony

Favorite episode (scene if movie): The “I don’t want you to go” scene with Christine. 

Favorite season/movie: Infinity War even if I loved a lot also Doctor Strange.

Favorite line: No, I reject it because I do not believe in fairy tales about chakras, or energy, or the power of belief. There is no such thing as spirit! We are made of matter, and nothing more. We're just another tiny, momentary speck within an indifferent universe. (this, both because I feel this sentence extremerly “mine” and because, in a certain way, it gives exactly how Stephen consider himself spendable because if you are a tiny momentary speck within an indifferent universe it means you are sacrificable for the greater good. Stephen already knows it’s not about him in the sense of him as the single individual that he is -or maybe I’m just seeing things, but still-)

Favorite outfit: either the suit for the conference or the casual look in IW. 

OTP: read Tony, also PalmerStrange

Brotp: Christine and Loki, possibly.

Head Canon: He’s sapiosexual and you can’t change my mind

Unpopular opinion: Keanu Reeves wouldn’t have made a good Doctor Strange. 

A wish: I want him to become really popular in the MCU fandom

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: Wanda getting more screen-time than Stephen in DS2

5 words to best describe them: idiot genius and a self-sacrificing asshole who would do everything to protect the people despite his own health.
