#starry starry night
Text
Someone on the Sandman subreddit said there are stars on the lining of Dream’s coat so I had to see for myself. This is from Episode 2, "Imperfect Hosts":

And here's a freeze frame:

But that's not all. Let's slow it down.

Someone else on the thread pointed out the stars are not exactly moving in tandem with the coat's fabric. It means those are not just star prints; there are actual starry skies within Dream's coat! That is so beautiful and romantic. The amount of details in this show is incredible.

"Cease now, thou passing bell,
Rung is my doleful knell,
For its sound my death doth tell.
Death doth draw nigh;
Sound the knell dolefully, for now I die." 🕯🌹
As she knelt there and “awaited the blow,” most of those present followed the example of the Lord Mayor, Sir John Aleyn, and sank to their knees, out of respect for the passing of a soul; only the Dukes of Suffolk and Richmond remained resolutely standing. Anne was still praying aloud, “making no confession of her fault, but saying, ‘O Lord God, have pity on my soul! To Christ I commend my soul!’” Strickland cites an unnamed source that gives her last words as “In manuas tuas”—Into Thy hands. What happened next happened “suddenly”: “immediately, the executioner did his office.”
“The Queen was beheaded according to the manner and custom of Paris, that is to say, with a sword,” which was probably of the finest Flemish steel, and had been “hidden under a heap of straw.” It would have been blunt-tipped, around three or four feet in length, with a two-inch-wide double-edged blade and a leather-bound handle long enough to be gripped by both hands.
“The Queen,” Husee reported only hours afterward, “suffered with sword this day … and died boldly.” Referring to all who had died, he added, “Jesu take them to His mercy.” Even Cromwell was impressed by Anne’s bravery, and that of Rochford, and “greatly praised the intelligence, wit, and courage of the Concubine and her brother.” “She had reigned as queen three years lacking fourteen days, from her coronation to her death,” Wriothesley observed. The Imperialist witness believed that he had “seen the prophecy of Merlin fulfilled.” - Alison Weir, The lady in the Tower

Made another starry night with plastic canvas again! Love how it looks framed up! 🌌
🍄 Again, this one isn’t my pattern much like the other one. I had gotten this pattern from Pinterest! If anyone knows who the original creator is, please tag them!

Can we talk about how beautifully Don Mclean’s Vincent applies to Crowley? Obviously I know who the song is actually about, but just get a load of these lyrics:
Now I understand
What you tried to say to me
How you suffered for your sanity
How you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now
Even ‘starry starry night’ is perfect in light of Crowley’s nebula creation. He’s the epitome of the misunderstood artist.

For they could not love you
But still your love was true
And when no hope was left inside
On that starry, starry night
You took your life as lovers often do
But I could have told you, Vincent
This world was never meant for one
As beautiful as you

I think Oscar Wilde was correct when he wrote about death. Maybe death would be so beautiful and peaceful, with no today, tomorrow or yesterday. Just white light and music blowing in the corner of your mind and little flowers on which you are laid. Eyes closed but the bright white light letting the peace reach your heart and your heart filled with all the emotions at once. You could only be thankful that it approached you and took you away from all the noise.
