the roomies : a reference to the content creator roommate line up consisting of valkyrae (rae), fuslie (leslie), yvonnie (yvonne), kkatamina (miyoung), and sykkuno ! the newly added addition to the roomies is tinakitten (tina) who y/n is based of off !!!

otv : based on offlinetv (otv) which is a content creator group. they’ve been around for a couple years now and consist of gaming/variety streamers. the current line up consists of scarra, disguisedtoast (toast), lilypichu (lily), quarterjade (jodi), masayoshi (john), sydeon (sydney), michael reeves, with yvonnie and brofain (brodin) as members/staff (brodin directs otv videos). pokimane (imane/poki) had recently just “graduated” from the group, but was a key part in creating the original offlinetv and their journey so far :)

valo squad : while there are many valo squads out there, this valo squad is a reference most directly to the group of people that quarterjade plays with. this includes obviously jodi, masayoshi, peterparktv, trulytenzin, sydeon, seanic, and starsmitten. occasionally other people from otv and friends do play with them such as toast, miyoung, sykkuno, baboabe, etc. but for the most part the group above is who jodi typically plays with

valo is short for valorant which is a first person sh**ter game made by riot games. it is quite popular with new agents, gun skin line, battle passes and etc on it. it is currently only a pc game with various different game modes, buttt it is free ! you only pay for things like skins and the battle pass. one of the game modes is ranked game play which can find your rank as iron, bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond, ascendant, immortal, and radiant! i will say tho it’s also kinda known for the e-dating factor people take into account LOL

• lvl 1. - new roomie !

when the roomies moved most recently they revealed that tina was their new roommate on her stream !

during said ^ stream leslie accidentally spilled some water on tina hence the reference in chapter one with sanha and y/n

• lvl 2. - god’s gift to valorant

in-house: an in house is typically when a ten people on valorant play a custom game against one another

customs are one of the game modes of valorant

kn*fing is when one gets a kn*fe k*ll on someone in the game. kn*ves are the melee weapon that each player has in game

“god’s gift to valorant” is a reference to when lilypichu called herself god’s gift to league (of legends) when she was playing one time

the picture that is on hee’s priv is one of the views of the friends list within valorant, where it does not show the names of your friends list but rather the icons that players pick. it also shows the number of people your friends may be playing with hence the “+1” and etc.

typically “+1”s are player’s duos and/or significant others

I DO! I have several, even.

Starsmitten not only fits the energy Comet has, but represents much of how she thinks. I could go lyric by lyric and dissect how each and every line of the song relates to Comet, but then we’d be here all day! What I will say, is that the chorus sounds like something Comet would say, word for word.

This song encapsulates SO WELL how Comet steps away from giving to everyone, and finds worth in herself first and foremost. This song could relate to any NUMBER of people in her life, from past friends, to Crowley, to her ex-vice housewarden…

4. What are your OCs minor fears?

Comet has a lot of BIG fears, like the ocean, but I don’t really mention her more minor fears!

Comet fears a lack of control—not that she needs to be controlling, just… if she feels lost or like things are out of hand, it brings her great anxiety. She also doesn’t particularly like flying bugs. And Riddle. She’s scared of Riddle.

She ALSO has this fear that one day she’ll wake up and her hair will have been chopped off.

8. Is there a character your OC doesn’t like? If so, why?

Several, actually. It’s not that difficult to tell when Comet dislikes someone, but she still remains polite, so I suppose it could be missed if one isn’t looking.

Riddle, for one. She thinks he’s scary and feels unsafe around him because of his anger issues.

Leona as well, she understands where he comes from, but she just doesn’t like his vibe and thinks he’s a little stuck-up.

ALL OF POMEFIORE??? Like she feels judged by Vil and doesn’t appreciate how nitpicky he is, she’s TERRIFIED of Rook and wants him to stay several miles away from her, and she thinks Epel is annoying.

For the first parts of her arc, she also dislikes Sebek and the Octatrio, which is ironic because she ends up crushing on ALL of them later on…
