It's still #PortfolioDay. Tere!! I'm Sven, an artist from Estonia. I have a BA in graphic art / printmaking. I draw comics, animation and design characters. I especially love drawing cats and guys with scruffy facial hair.

I primarily work with traditional mediums (ballpoint pen. who needs to erase anyway), but also have thorough knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Clip Studio Paint.

I draw inspiration from my own life experiences to make short comics about retail, LGBT+ topics, (specifically FtM transition) and Estonian working class life. I was born into poverty and negligence and had to work hard to keep up with everyone else and I don't want to romanticize it, but it made me resilient and independent at a very young age. Optimism and humor is what keeps me alive. Here's my Estonian Academy or Arts portfolio as a PDF! (EST 🇪🇪)

… I'm actually still on the poverty line and my day job is earning minimum wage in a grocery store. I'm open for character commission work as long as you're fine with sketches not thorough rendered works. The most I've charged is 30€, the least I've charged is 2-3€ for a tiny receipt sketch.

Hi I have applied to so many jobs & done so many interviews but still have not gotten hired!! I don’t have much past work experience because of disability & thats making it so hard to get hired now. Being trans also complicates it. I am completely out of savings and can’t get things like groceries, subway fare, or household cleaning supplies.

(it’s a photo bc I can’t screenshot in the bank app^)

If anyone can help out, trust me it is so so so appreciated. Especially rn as I try to get on food stamps. I've lost 15% of my body weight from being unemployed & broke the past year. I'd worked so, so hard to put that weight on and having to watch myself waste away is more devastating than I know how to express. Every cent towards a meal helps.

I am a Type 1 Diabetic, autistic, as well as a variety of other mental and undiagnosed physical illness-having 21 year-old.

I know everyone is struggling right now, but I’m possibly about to lose a job for the second time this year due to budgeting.

I’m already applying for other jobs, but I wanted to put this out there in case it can reach anyone who is able yo put a few cents towards my livelihood.

I do have family who can help with medical expenses, but I just signed a lease for a new apartment (my current isn’t a fit living situation for various reasons), and I’m in the process of looking to replace my car which likely won’t make it through the winter.
