i’m in the middle of doing work for my actual classes but i saw starwarsnatural posting... sam as luke is a given. it’s obviously not a perfect parallel, but you do have two boys who have power that is born from “evil” but they are both trying to prove they will never be anything but “good”. azazel is sam’s original vader standin. vader trying to tempt his son to the dark side because he is so powerful with the force and wants him to rule the empire beside him, but luke rejects him. azazel trying to tempt sam to be the “boy king” and lead the armies of hell because he is deemed the most powerful of all the “special kids” (much like those who can use the force), and sam rejects him too. much to think about.
