My two free pieces will not be continued on Dreame due to me wanting to retain my copyright, as well as their strict rules about queer smut. I’m wanting to express myself and other queer people more in my writing and it’s just not possible through StaryWriting (where writers for Dreame work off of). I’m still under contract for The Changeling Queen so I’m working on finishing that up soon. I’ll also say I was under very strict supervision and had to write 50k+ words a month for a year, so there’s plot holes and things like that, but I did enjoy it for the most part, and I love those characters still.
If you enjoy any of these, make sure to follow me here because I’m writing versions that are completely within my control and I don’t have to compromise when I post them on Kindle. Hopefully by the beginning of next month! I’m shooting for March 1st, but if that date changes I’ll make sure to let y’all know.

How some KnY characters deal with technology and the internet in a Modern AU. Part 1: Yoriichi.
Written by me (🌻) and @starywrites (☀️) very quickly at that too lol
Warnings: none whatsoever.

🌻He's sort of a genius so he easily gets the hang of new technologies, however, he mostly just knows how to use electronic devices and software which are necessary for his job. (Astrophysicist, as I imagine.)
☀️He definitely doesn’t use the internet as much.
☀️Mainly I think he uses it for putting in students' grades, or emails.
☀️He doesn’t really use or have social media.
🌻He doesn't get the point of most social media platforms, especially ones like Instagram. He simply cannot comprehend why people would want to fill their brains with useless information on superficial topics.
☀️He definitely doesn’t understand any tik tok references or trends.
☀️He prefers to maybe probably not be on the internet as much.
🌻He probably has Sudoku or Chess apps on his phone, or other sorts of puzzle games, which he plays occasionally.
☀️He probably uses his phone to send messages and calls most of the time or is the main usage of his phone
🌻Probably only has a LinkedIn account, and a YouTube channel on which he sometimes posts educational videos. I think he might also publish some articles somewhere. Also uses Goodreads.
☀️He secretly watches some cat videos from time to time.
🌻He doesn't like it when his students take selfies with him and post them online. (he's also a professor, as I imagine)
☀️He mostly prefers not to be in any photos and I don’t think he is good at taking photos either.
🌻Despite that fact, he probably has a few decent shots of sunrises, sunsets, or sunflowers.
☀️He has maybe have some digital books that he likes to read online.
🌻When Uta was alive (or if she still is), she jokingly pointed out how they literally have no vacation photos whatsoever because of how yoriichi is with pictures.
🌻He probably has a Kindle reader tablet thingy.
☀️Yorichii probably listen to a few podcast mostly the educational ones.

"Bringing us with you to leave the island was something me and my cousin had been wanted for so long, and you all helped us even though we barely knew each other then.” He tilted his head to Kara’s direction so he could still look at her. “What I’m saying is, thank you for accepting us and trusting us enough to tag along. And I’m also glad that you’re a successor, too, Kara. So are Zariel and Jia.”
Kara blinked a couple of times and gave him a smile in reply. Lyne’s presence and words are helping her sooth some of the frustrations she had. “I’m glad, too.”
