robert saving everyone was sooo annoying because he was literally just doing his job correctly for once and we are supposed to act like he hasn't been shitty for a whole season. and it was such lazy writing. "look at him protecting his team from those scary teenagers" lmao i'm so mad. Yeah, he was right for asking for privacy but still!! why he was so fine! he was down there too. I hate that i watch this show LMAO
Heh, yeah, I didn't love the immediate rehabbing of his image at Andy's expense, nor even, later on, Maya's. Looking back, that really was setting the tone for the rest of the season.

In response to that article (US weekly) that is circulating out there,
1. I love that they agree that Buck and Eddie should just get together.
2. KR and TM are either idiots or liars.
Why do you ask?
Because as someone who spent her life chasing tv shows containing good best friends relationship (be it m/f m/m or f/f) and brotherly relationships, this, whatever the writers and the showrunners created here in 9-1-1 with Buck and Eddie is far beyond best friends by mid s3 and was way past brotherly bond somewhere between that grocery store love spat to the kitchen scene to the romantic coded shooting scene in 4x13 (and that’s when both guys were “dating”).
I can give examples going on for miles and make endless comparisons (we have NCIS LA Callen and Sam, Chicago Fire Casey and Severide, Station 19 had Gibson and Miller, and while unbelievably controversial Steve and Danny in H50 were indeed brotherly based relationship because it had all the markers of that relationship that outweighed the old married couple routine.)
They are all brotherly/best friend oriented relationships, where the word “brother” was used regularly, they each had their roommates era - that we got to watch on tv and not covid enforced quarantine era off screen.
We had hugs aplenty, a lot of teasing and beer talks, relationship talks, double dates (even chenford been to one before they finally got together.), marriage, uncle titles being bestowed, bff-ing with the best friend’s significant other and oh so many things that color a relationship in platonic colors.
Now let’s take those and compare them to Buck and Eddie’s relationship.
We got three hugs in 3 episodes, and that’s in S2 2x18, S3 3x01, and 3x06.
We haven’t seen proper beer hangout that didn’t involve black eyes since S3 on Albert’s birthday.
No relationship talks, unless it was to make sure the other side was agreeing that the other should break up with their significant other. (Eddie in 5x03, Buck in 5x18)
Neither one of them even got close to marriage (after Shannon died, I mean. And even she knew it wasn’t working with Eddie anymore.)
Buck is Christopher’s and Eddie’ Buck (”His Buck”) - but he is uncle Buck to Jee-Yun.
Buck only interacted with Ana twice and that was when he saw her (but didn’t talk to her) when she brought Christopher to the firehouse in 5x02, and the other time was when she called him to tell him Eddie’s awake.
And we have the famous dinner where Taylor didn’t eat but tried to be friendly along with Eddie for Buck in the Diaz household. But other than that Eddie had no desire to interact with her unless he absolutely had to.
Last but not least, all the pairs I named up there uttered the words “I love you” at least once. It was said easily, and "thanks for saving me" was said out loud, too.
- Buck and Eddie, going into S6 not once uttered the words. And Eddie thanked Bobby for saving his life, but not once has he thanked Buck - at least not that we saw. (Not in 4x14, not in 5x14 - Buck saved Eddie so many times, but we never see any deep conversation or even a light hearted one that expressed “thank you for saving my ass out there”)
I can go on, but I think my point is made.
Please for the love of god get these two together, they’d be wasted on anybody else at this point. - Manifest with me ✨✨✨

Finally caught up on s19/greys. Ngl I read maya’s speech about why she didn’t want kids- the rampant structural sexism in her job- as she actually did, at some stage, but being demoted meant she was Very Much Not Yet. The pain in her voice when talking about how easy it was for the guys- maybe it was just the way Danielle played the scene but she seemed truly heartbroken about it? Which, lots of my friends don’t want kids and have had difficult conversations about it but never felt heartbroken about not wanting them, because they didn’t see it as a loss. You can’t mourn something you don’t want, if that makes sense?
That was just how I read it, and I could be wrong!
No, no, I mean, obviously you were right as was born out by the show, but I do agree that the scene showed a real struggle! She wasn't frustrated at having to have the conversation but at the circumstances. That's probably why I wasn't THAT upset by her changing her mind, though I definitely think they could have done more to tackle her concerns. Instead they ended up just continuing to show she was right.

Station 19 5x02
- That was underwhelming.
- Why do writers always write the baby/no baby storyline for wlw relationships? Or maybe it’s just the shows I watch. Calzona, Sanvers, AdamsFoster. It’s tiresome. Can’t they come up with something else for once?
- That said, I was really glad to see both of them speaking their truth. I loved the way Carina pushed Maya a little by calling her out on why she says she’s scared and that was enough to get Maya to open up. I loved the way Maya was so honest about her feelings. Clearly the conversation isn’t over and who knows where it’s going to go next.
- Putting the storyline aside, Danielle and Stefania were amazing together in that last scene. The way they react to each other in those emotional scenes is wonderful.
- Shondaland makes a big deal of crossovers, but when they have the chance to do it, they come up with a lame excuse to send the firefighters to Seattle Pres instead of Grey Sloan? 🤦🏼‍♀️
- Andy and Beckett? Seriously?! 🤢

Friends who are doing the Station 19 rewatch! I watched 5x01 and 5x02 tonight like we planned and here some of my thoughts:
5x01:
I missed Maya acting as captain.
Andy was actually likable this episode.
Ben giving it to Sullivan was great...calling him ruthless was so accurate. Sullivan plays victim and Ben was like not on my watch.
Ben was wearing the thick rubber ring #ringwatch
I forgot how much it annoyed me that all couples at the wedding got sex scenes besides the actual couple that got married
Sullivan is the worst. This chief is the worst.
Beckett is such an idiot…how is he qualified as a captain.
Andy and Maya interacting…this is suddenly weird to see but it was nice to see them working together against Beckett and Sullivan.
Maya silently breaking down in Carina’s arms about losing her job :(
Bleh…I never realized all the foreshadowing about 19 being Andy’s…I have a feeling we won’t be seeing Maya as captain again :/
Sullivan’s stupid apology
Genuinely feel like Theo/Andy would be a much better couple than Andy/Sullivan
Andy handing it to Robert saying she doesn’t respect him…bless her.
5x02:
this opening scene was nice with marina in bed
dean’s mom is so annoying
omg sullivan playing victim and his self pity while talking to richard…i can’t
this decision of the last name thing was so stupid…this would’ve been decided before 11 months
i personally think maya & carina should’ve been part of the orgasm competition but they would’ve blown them all out of the water
i really hate Maddox and really don’t want to see any more of him
the crisis one storyline in this ep was good, it’s a shame we probably won’t see more of it now with dean gone…or will we?
i liked seeing maya and ben discuss parenting
How is Maddox even a lieutenant? That’s embarrassing.
Such a joke how they made Sullivan the one to wake up to whatever gas made them all pass out and save them all lol how convenient….Maya was taking care of it and then suddenly couldn’t -_-
Jack pressuring Maya to forgive Sullivan too…sick of this agenda
“Do you know what happened to me on duty yesterday?” No Maya how would she know if you didn’t tell her -__-
ew andy and beckett
Feel free to send me your thoughts once you all rewatch!

I need distraction from the gruesome wait for a new 9-1-1 episode, so I rewatched Station 19's 5x01 and then watched 5x02 and I gotta say, these two are so awesome together (not romantically, I love Theo with Vic), this is literally the friendship I never knew I needed. 🤗🤗
