⟡ Elisia Brown/Enid Rhee Playlist ⟡
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, this is a mixture of different genres of music that remind me of my fav girlies Elisia and Enid !! And songs that I feel suit them well, or that they'd listen n' vibe to! They both have quite a bit in common imo. (not to mention they're both isfp's with trauma and trust issues-)
Also I'd like to add a TW. Quite a few of these songs are depressing (very much s1 Elisia) and contain topics such as substance abuse, self-harm, eating disorders, etc. My dms are always open if anyone wants to vent/rant/or just talk :). I love y'all, and I'm proud of you!
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy !! 🫶🏻💖
(Also, here is My Masterlist, which is still being edited and updated. It's a wip!!) °♡✧⋆

@enid-rhees <3 @ofcutsandoffire <3, thx for helping me out w/ this! Love y'all 🫶🏻
If anyone actually listens to these songs, beware, it's very much an emotional rollercoaster- it's a wild mix of depressing songs and upbeat songs, and everything in between lol. Also, most of these are Elisia coded, so yea :')
I still feel like there's more songs I could add to this list, but can't think of them atm. So whenever I find a new song, I'll update the playlist!

An Arianator's Honest Review of "Life Support" by Madison Beer
before i start, please remember that all of these are jus my opinions & if you don't agree, that's totally fine!
the beginning: sweet, beautiful and simple. in my opinion, it's very reminiscent of ariana grande's "raindrops." i totally would've appreciated some lyrics, but i can imagine how pretty and chilling the riffs would sound if she went on tour! overall, i think it sets the tone for the rest of the album. 4/5
good in goodbye: definitely a bop. however, i feel like it would've suited more in madison's "as she pleases" era better, sitting next to other bops like "dead" and "home with you." i can see why she chose to use the play-on words and it gives me a definite taylor swift vibe, but it's just the ugly duckling of the songs. sure, i listen to it and enjoy it, but it's so childish compared to the rest of the album, which is about being taken advantage of, sexualisation, depression etc. it's a good listen but doesn't offer much artistically. 2/5
default: an unbelievably beautiful song. i do believe the violins could've been a little quieter at the end, but it adds a pretty touch to the song. my only issue is that i believe it could've been longer, even by 30 seconds or so. the first two verses would've been okay by themselves, but the last verse, with the violins and the riffs, add so much tension only to end so quickly with total silence. i think she could've taken advantage of the lyric "i know how long this must be" and made it longer, to add understanding to the lyrics. 4/5
follow the white rabbit: this song is everything. the drums, the guitars, the synths and THE STRINGS in the intro. i love how this song is so sultry and seductive while still giving off the same lonely vibes as the rest of the album, if that makes sense? it's not the odd-one-out, is what i mean to say. 5/5
effortlessly: i love this song, it's so dreamy yet one of the deepest, saddest songs on the album. i believe madison definitely could've switched up the lyrics in the verses to "told ME not to feel" or "they told you not to feel", because it doesn't make as much sense when you listen to the chorus. i had pretty high expectations when listening to this song, because everyone was hyping it up, but it didn't disappoint. 3/5
stay numb and carry on: this song is so hauntingly beautiful and the lyrics are very clever. i wasn't particularly a fan of the beginning though, i feel like it was very unnecessary and added in for no reason. i know she said she wanted to give off a daft punk vibe so i'll give her that, i guess. 3/5
blue: i remember loving this song from the first snippet, but it's much more different than i imagined. i feel like madison got unconfident in her voice at some moments in the making of the album and tried to imitate other artists, and this was one of the most obvious moments. i know she said she wanted a lana del ray vibe but her singing is so much more different to the rest of the songs. i was expecting to see a lana del ray song, but madisonfied not a lana del ray song, sung like lana del ray. 2/5
interlude: and again... i know she said she wanted the daft punk vibe, but so unnecessary and i definitely won't be listening to this. she could've left the intro the same, and transitioned to her normal voice. the lyrics would've been put their full effect that way. 1/5
homesick: so breathtakingly beautiful and 100% my favorite song on the album. it's so emotional, pure and vulnerable. and it especially appeals to me because it's the feeling of being misunderstood, which i used to feel a lot in early life. 5/5
selfish: i love this song because it's such a mature take on relationships. i think, with a lot of artists, songs like this are meant to be a "f*ck you, i hate you" type of vibe, which is totally okay, but madison's admitting she feels vulnerable and upset, which i admire so much. 5/5
sour times: i really like this song. i honestly don't have much to say about it, i love the drums in this song. it's a cute and empowering melody. it doesn't really stand out much, compared to the rest of the songs however. 4/5
boysh*t: again, very empowering lyrics and catchy melody. definitely a bop and i'll be listening to it a lot! 4/5
baby: in my opinion, this is the worst song on the album. it's the odd-one-out and completely stands out, in a bad way, from the rest of the album. i don't mean this in a toxic way, but this sounds like an ariana imitation gone wrong. it doesn't add anything to the album and in my opinion, is just filler. 0/5
stained glass: everything is perfect, the drums, the lyrics, the visualizer video. one of my favorites. this song stands out from the rest of the album, which i'll explain later. 5/5
emotional bruises: this song is so catchy and i love how she added "life support." love this song. 4/5
everything happens for a reason: i've always loved the concept of everything happens for a reason because it's always helped me to get through traumatic things in my life. but i've always had that voice in the back of my head that asks "why me? did i do anything to deserve this?" and i think madison beer really emulates this in this song. i love how she adds "time moves on with the seasons" to remind herself that it'll all be irrelevant soon. another thing i adore is the "i still love u" in the background, like the voice in her head, and by the end of the song, she sings along, because she realises that she really is never getting over the boy she once loved. 5/5
channel surfing/the end: madison took the long road to creating her album, which i admire, and this song almost encaptures her journey to creating it. i do wish she had carried on this theme from the beginning of the album as it's quite random. however, i understand why she chose not to, as it would've probably sounded like a frank ocean channel orange rip-off lol. 2/5
OVERALL:
when i first listened to this album, i had extremely high, almost unmeetable standards for a debut album. this is because everyone i had seen talking about it would say it was amazing and life-changing. i do believe it was overhyped, which was the reason i've been so harsh on it. i admire how vulnerable, mature and personal she gets in this album, with songs like stained glass, selfish and homesick. or how she tries to make light of her relationship trauma, like stay numb and carry on, effortlessly.
i view the album life support as a journey. at the beginning, we have songs such as good in goodbye, default and follow the white rabbit. madison knows she's empty and hurt, but is willing to make light out of the situation. then we transition into songs like stay numb and carry on, effortlessly and the interlude. this is her beginning to feel numb and emotionless. finally, we meet homesick, selfish and stained glass, which is her finally admitting she's been hurt and feeling as though she's hit rock bottom, never to get better.
overall, the album is pretty cohesive and sounds good. however, i believe there were certain songs that were pretty much filler and useless artistically, in terms of the album at least. it was pretty much a lot of songs about the same thing. plus, channel surfing was a cute touch ig but i didn't really like it. boysh*t was okay but didn't really fit. and don't even get me started on baby. it's got a lot of thematic holes to it, but it works as a fun listen if you don't care about that sort of stuff.

Madison Beer - Life Support (Review):
After much anticipation we finally get Madison Beer’s debut album titled ‘Life Support’. She has had quite the journey so far with fighting to release her debut album. Her career beginning with Justin Bieber’s claimed discovery of her and that leading to her getting signed. That then not working out and then getting signed to Epic Records. Then finally to this release. She kick starts the album with an intro titled ‘The Beginning’ which features some extended airy vocals. After that we get to the first track on the album ‘Good In Goodbye’ a sassy track about a toxic relationship in which the two seem to be in a constant battle with each other. There’s more bad than good in this relationship that she is saying goodbye to. It could be speaking to a relationship between two people, or her fighting herself. We then head into the interlude type track ‘Default’, it isn’t labelled as such, but due to its duration and style it fits that category. It is a stunning track in which she seems to sing about her being her own end. It follows that concept of how we can be the cause of our own destruction. This short track switches it up twice during its duration which provides for some of the most surprising moments on not just the song alone, but the album as a whole. Her vocal delivery of the lyrics is beautiful and haunting at the same time. She ensures that you as the listener feel the emotions behind the words she’s singing.
‘Follow The White Rabbit’ lifts the pace on the record with its heavy bass driven production. Which in turn makes it feel like it could feature as a soundtrack moment in a movie scene or commercial featuring a high speed car race/chase. She did mention that lyrically the song doesn’t have a deeper meaning to it. It’s meant to be a track you could rock out to. The vulnerable track ‘Effortlessly’ follows, a stunningly captivating moment on the album featuring dreamy angelic vocals that leave you in a trance like state. The track takes over the entire space and the lyrics are rather sad. With lyrics like ‘So I hold my breath to breathe, hurt me so I feel, used to do these things so effortlessly’, returning to that self destructive topic. It dwells on the difficulty of trying to lift yourself up and due to that you often find yourself falling into a dark place as that is easier to do. This song is surely a standout on the album. Then we move on to ‘Stay Numb And Carry On’ in which the opening draws you in with the intriguing reversed vocals. The track continues with the topic of the previous track and more of how she deals with her mental health struggles, she seems to ignore them rather than face her issues and move on. A moody moment you can completely get lost in.
‘Blue’ provides the album with a dreamy and vast cinematic moment. Here Madison seems to draw some inspiration from Lana Del Rey’s style. You get lost in this mesmerising song. She sings about being aware of when it is time to leave and how letting go of this person will be beneficial for her. ‘Interlude’ features vocoder coated vocals, on this short track she sings about what she is willing to do for this person and hopes for her feelings to be reciprocated. She also states that although she wants to be with this person, she doesn’t solely want to be theirs only. We move on to this intimate emotionally driven track ‘Homesick’ that opens with similar vocals to that on the albums intro. You may find yourself welling up to this song. The verses are about her not fitting in and feeling out of place. However on the chorus it seems like she’s found the place where she feels like she fits in. The outro to the track is truly Madison as she samples Rick & Morty one of her favourite shows. The sample features the two characters launching themselves into space, correlating to the tracks topic. This track would provide her tour with such a perfect closing moment.
Then we come to one of the most grand moments on the album with this orchestra type opening on ‘Selfish’, a rather sombre track about someone who’s rather selfish. She loved this person, even though she knew he didn’t deserve her love. Her vocal delivery on the track is rather gentle and beautiful, capturing the pain behind each lyric perfectly. She picks up the pace on ‘Sour Times’ which is about being taken advantage of due to her being in a vulnerable state. The beat has this sense of urgency to it during the verses. Then when the chorus hits the drums kick in, giving it this rocky vibe. ‘Boyshit’ kick starts with a another grand opening that leads into quite the switch up. It features a sassy delivery of the lyrics. The chorus will have you singing along to it from the get go. You can really let loose to this song. She sings about not understanding the nonsense that comes out of the guys mouth and she’s not willing to waste her time trying to get through to him.
She continues her sassy streak on the rather sexy track ‘Baby’ where she lets the boy of interest know of what to expect and that he’ll have to be ready to be able to handle her. The track does sway to some extent thematically from the rest of the album. Then we reach ‘Stained Glass’ where she pleads for people to be more gentle. For them not to base judgement on the basis of what they see. As that doesn’t always let you know of what the person maybe battling internally. The track has a cinematic feel to it and you feel what she feels due to all the judgement she’s received from people. The vocal delivery gives you this feeling of being on the edge of breaking down.
‘Emotional Bruises’ is about being mistreated, yet she seems to be giving the person chance after chance. She still is willing to give him another shot, however she claims this will be the last. We get a mention of the album title on this track. ‘Everything Happens For A Reason’ is the final full length track on the album. A beautiful track where she sings about how things happen for a reason. The person of topic has obviously given her quite a bit of grief, but she closes the track on a dreamy note singing ‘I still love you’. We reach the final moment on the album that is ‘Channel Surfing/The End’ which is her flicking through each track on the album. Just like how you’d flick through channels finding something to watch on TV. The closer feels like you’ve reached the ending of a movie and the end credits are playing. It is the perfect closing for the album.
The album over all is a solid effort from Madison Beer and she has played a strong role in the creative aspect of the album. From songwriting to the production on the tracks, The album is well produced, her vocals are stunning on the record and she divulges on topics that resonate with many people. You have the emotionally charged moments, sassy moments and then those which feel cinematic. She showcases great promise and she has the potential to grow and outdo this project on the next. The album feels true to her as an artist and personal to her as human being. It is definitely a standout release of 2021 so far.
If you haven't given 'Life Support' a listen yet, then you need to go and do so.

Note
will you do a song by song review for life support? i really liked the ones for sweetener and thank you next!
oh absolutely, i’d love to! thank you for asking and being interested 🖤 all thoughts below.
the beginning:
this was such a great way to open this album, it’s so cinematic and really sets the mood so perfectly. one of my fav instrumental intros i’ve ever heard.
9/10
good in goodbye: “you put the over in lover, put the ex in next.”
the lyrics are so wonderfully corny and i’ll love this song forever, like the chorus is literally just so fun to sing along to.
i do think it feels a little... shallow compared to the rest of the album, and the album being released so long after this song came out makes it feel disconnected from the rest. but i love it so i don’t care.
7.5/10
default: “i know, i know this must be coming for me, i swear, i swear i will be the end of me, the end of me.”
this song is just sooo...... OUCH!
i’m obsessed with the way the chorus just SOUNDS like an emotional spiral, like her life falling apart, like falling into a deep depression, and then the outro builds like destructive racing thoughts.
also i never noticed the wave crashing and the bubbles at the very beginning until really recently, and i love that little touch. the whole song feels so underwater. cloudy and fuzzy. it does a good job of depicting certain symptoms of various mental illnesses.
8.5/10
follow the white rabbit: “is it haunting, baby, that i’m wanting, baby, that i’m wanting, wanting you?”
i actually was fully not expecting to like this that much based off the snippets she’d shared, but omg this left me WEAAAAK on first listen, which was the best surprise
there are definitely so many layers to these lyrics too, despite it being just a bombastic sexy toxic love song on its surface, particularly when thinking about the album as a commentary on mental illness, and some of the breakup/love songs as metaphors rather than straightforward love songs. definitely about infatuation and toxicity and perhaps knowingly entering a bad relationship as a bad coping mechanism, a way to avoid dealing with your pain or (as we see in effortlessly) a way to just feel anything at all.
9/10
effortlessly: “i hold my breath to breathe, hurt me so i feel, used to do these things so effortlessly somehow.”
oh god this song is just a punch in the stomach
i ALSO didn’t really expect to love this one based on snippets but the lyrics are just devastating and perfect and i hope speak to anybody who has struggled with self-harm and medication.
i don’t even have thoughts on this song, it just makes me go jsn*@(#nkdasdnkasd7*@U#j2k3n
love that this is such a fan favourite. it deserves!
10/10
stay numb and carry on: “truth is it was never love, your fault if you thought it was.”
the reverse “i’ve become emotionless” at the beginning >>>
also love the “i was gin and you were toxic . . . wish we’d just stayed plaTONIC” like a platonic relationship would be the opposite of toxic. it’s such fun wordplay.
also “i don’t feel like anyone” makes me emo, she really just slid the most simple but heartbreaking lines in everywhere and you don’t notice them until they hit you out of nowhere one day and you’re like ...OH
AND THE WAY HER VOICE STARTS TO GO MONOTONE AT “i’ve become emotionless”
in conclusion, madison beer is a vessel for god
10/10
blue: “you could be as sweet as honey but i knew the darkness in your mind.”
this is my least favourite on the album but it’s still fantastic
the lana influence is clear without being too copycat, like it’s still SO madison. sorta like lana’s video games modernized and adapted into something truer to madison’s vibe.
love love love the whole outro
glad that this wasn’t a single like it was planned to be
7/10
interlude: “would you do that shit for me too?”
VOCODER RIGHTS
this album in general is just not really for people who don’t like vocoders and lots of technical effects. i looove that she leaned into it so hard bc it’s so HER.
this song also has so much depth for an interlude, relaying the experience of feeling SO hard about people, and realizing like you’re putting in way more than you’re getting back.
the post-chorus is like... 🤩🌌💫☄️🌠
7.5/10
homesick: “these humans speak my language, still don’t understand it.”
THIS SONG...... IS MY BABY......
oh god it just breaks my heart on every listen. the image in my head is of a little girl talking to the stars.
and why does the line about her mom and dad make me wanna cry every time? i have no idea.
I BELONG IN SPACE...... FLOATING WITH DEBRIS.......
i’m sure she’s not the first person to ever use this metaphor for mental illness, expressing the alienation of mental illness (especially one as stigmatized and misunderstood as bpd) by talking about LITERAL aliens sdkjfsdfksd, but she does it SOOOOO well and sincerely that it feels like it’s uniquely hers.
the rick & morty sample is so funny and so weird and so madison. i will probably never watch an episode of that show in my life.
10000000000/10 this song is the loml
selfish: “shouldn’t love you but i couldn’t help it, had a feeling that you never felt it.”
my absolute favourite of all of the singles, noooo question about it. it’s a perfect, perfect, perfect song.
two years, alone on new years’, nightclubs, gemini... women writing lyrics with very specific details about the shitty men that the song is about... it’s everything to me.
this song will just NEVER age. every time i listen to it, it’s like the first time all over again.
10/10
sour times: “don’t know what song of mine you heard that made you think i’d want to spend the night with you.”
home with you’s big sister<3
not the strongest lyrics, but the concept and production are more than strong enough to carry the song.
she came on this bitch mad as hell
also love that this have been another fan favourite, seemingly??
men gross
9/10
boyshit: “don’t know how to talk or communicate, we’re so on and off, to you it’s a game.”
it took me awhile to get into this when it was a single ngl, probably because it came out the same night as evermore sjdknfsfnkjsd, but once i got into it, it became the best song ever
she’s soooo reliable with her “men ain’t shit” songs ugh
8.5/10
baby: “i’m a handful but that’s what hands are for.”
when this came out as a single it was the only thing i listened to for a solid week and a half. just an excellent song. the chorus is evvverrryttthhhiiinnnnggg.
WHAT IS IT SO CATCHY FOR?
9.5/10
stained glass: “my life’s a still fading memory of what i can’t have, and everything ’round me is starting to fade into black, but black and white is so much better, i’m learning how to hide my colours.”
i’m so surprised by how much non-stans seem to love this omg, it’s never been a fav of mine, as much as i still love it
but i’m obsessed with how different and distinctly madison it is
also this is a much more genuine take on the “pls stop being mean to me just bc i’m famous / you don’t know what people are going through” type of song than most of the others i’ve ever heard. her pain is evident, and the soft “i just might break” is just..... </3
the glass breaking and little scream are so good
she loves a good metaphor and so do i!
7.5/10
emotional bruises: “how do i word this? was about to write you this letter, but it was just curses in cursive, you probably deserve it.”
this was definitely my most anticipated song along with everything happens for a reason, like i listened to the snippet on repeat CONSTANTLY lmao. and the full song definitely lived up.
the scribbling sound is so fun, i love her obsession with little real-life sound effects
10/10
everything happens for a reason: “i still can’t find a reason you’d wanna hurt me so bad.”
THIS SONG IS VERY MUCH EVERYTHING
again, this was for sure one of my most anticipated songs and just kjsadsdkajsm god i love love love it
i think she posted a video one time of the song over a clip of the mermaids from peter pan and it was so pretty and i still picture that video when i hear this song. it’s just soooooo hazy and dreamy and retro and perfect.
also the song on the album where she got to show off her vocals the most. she found her niche with this song, truly.
100/10
channel surfing/the end: “YOU’REBADFORMYHEALTHISHOULDPROLLYKEPTSOMEHELPICANTCONTROLMYSELFIMADDICTEDOTHEHELL”
oh my god i was FLOOOOOORED at the dear society clip. dear society was and is one of my FAVOURITE songs, and i appreciate her reasoning for not including it on the album (just wanting some space for a new song instead of one we’d already had for so long), but it did hurt a lil. i was so happy she found a little way to include it :’) rip to hurts like hell tho since she didn’t get the same treatment sjdnksd.
the channel surfing is also just such a fun concept for an outro.
and her laughing with her producers at the end followed by such a sweet calming tropical instrumental...... oooo it’s so nice, it feels like the calm after the storm.
10/10
overall, this album was just SO worth the wait, it’s so fantastic, it’s the loml, one of my favourite albums ever. i LOVE that it’s helped anyone with BPD feel seen and understood, and as someone who doesn’t have bpd but has a couple of loved ones who do, the emotions she expressed in these lyrics have helped me to understand this disorder more too. just such a special album.
most of the criticism i’ve seen of the album has been that it’s overproduced, and that’s definitely criticism that i understand, bc it IS heavy on the technical side and some people just don’t like very heavy production, buuuut... some people do! i do! madison does! and heavy production does not automatically make an album bad. this type of production isn’t something that i expect her to move away from, because it’s clearly her thing, and maybe that just means her place in the industry will be more with the heavy heavy pop fans and maybe even in more hyperpop circles. i also think it’s SUPPOSED to be overproduced; it’s supposed to be a mess of emotions and sometimes a little chaotic. she executed it very well.
i hope by the time her next album is out, people will stop comparing her to like every single artist out there. some reviewers seem determined to pigeonhole her and compare her to every female artist under the sun, which feels like an absolute disservice to me. she is influenced by many different people and they comes out in her music, as it does any artist’s because everybody has their inspirations, but her sound is VERY much her own. as someone who has liked her for years, i can absolutely feel her essence in each song and nobody else’s.
a 10/10 album and such an amazing, promising debut<3

New Music Friday: “Life Support” by Madison Beer
Madison Beer. The first time I saw her name was on Twitter. The stan universe was crazy over her and comparing her to Ariana Grande. The physical similarity is there but we all know people are more than that. Then I saw her when she was a contestant on Secret Celebrity Drag Race and I was like "oh she seems nice let me check her out". The only song I know from this album is 'BOYSHIT' which I love. So let's see what she's giving.
'The Beginning'
Almost a minute long intro. Not much to say other than I like the direction this album might go if this intro says anything about it. Nice vocals too!
'Good In Goodbye'
As previously stated, I'm not a fan of trap influences in pop songs anymore. It's too overdone. The lyrics are a little corny. Madison's delivery is average. Nothing special about it. I've heard this sound before and I'm not a big fan of it. I wouldn't play the song again to be honest. I hope this isn't the sound of the entire album.
'Default'
Surprisingly haunting. I love this one. Nice lyrics and nice production. Love the vocal delivery as well. It's a little too short sadly. It deserves a better outro. It sounded rushed and unfinished.
'Follow The White Rabbit'
I love this one a lot. The rock influence is great. It's progressive which I adore. A little short. I would've loved an explosive guitar-heavy bridge but regardless, the song is nice. Definitely added to my playlist.
'Effortlessly'
A nice haunting ballad about personal struggles. The verses are perfect in every way. I would've loved harder progression (or none). The reverb on her voice in the bridge is very nice. I enjoyed this one as well.
'Stay Numb And Carry On'
The title is my motto in life. Shake it away and keep moving. The lyrics are not speaking to me honestly but the melody is nice just like her delivery. It's very old school. It gets a little repetitive towards the end. Not my favorite so far but it's not a bad track.
'Blue'
Lana Del Rey influence right from the start from the lyrics to the delivery, which I adore, then the Billie Eilish production kicks in in the prechorus. I enjoyed this one sonically but the chorus could've been much better: it actually ruins the song for me. It has very good elements that the chorus and the bridge lack of. I added this one to my playlist but I know I'll be skipping it once the chorus starts.
'Interlude'
Glad we have an interlude. 17 songs is too much to introduce me to a new artist. I hate this one. everything about it is bad. From the lyrics to the vocal effects to the production. It's a no from me.
'Homesick'
Girl that intro... just skip it. It's needless. Lyrically it might be someone's cup of tea but not mine for most of the song. The producition is a snoozefest but her vocal delivery is nice enough. Overall, the song bored me. It's like the good songs are short and the bad ones never end with this album.
'Selfish'
Love the harmonies in this one. Lyrically, love songs are rarely my thing but there's something about this song that didn't bore me. Maybe it's the guitar. She sounds good on this song. The bridge started simple but somehow overproduced which I enjoyed but that made me wait for a buildup that I never got so I'm slightly disappointed. It's one of the good tracks.
'Sour Times'
I want to know who hurt her? All these songs are about some bad experiences it makes me worried about her... I like the jazz/soul influence on this one. I can hear the Ariana influence too but do I dare to say Madison did it better?
'BOYSHIT'
The song I already know. So far, this one is the best on the album. It's easy to digest and the bass work on the chorus is the moment of the album so far: it's nothing new and special but I guess that says a lot about the rest of the album sadly.
'Baby'
Ariana hop on a remix of this one ASAP. A very nice track and Ariana can take this to another level and introduce Madison to the general public. It would be a perfect duet. It's a very nice song and I can see this being a big hit. You can easily hear influences from old school sounnds mixed with present ones.
'Stained Glass'
The best ballad on this album so far. The guitar kicking in in the second verse is a highlight. The vocal delivery is very nice. It might sound a little all over the place at first but then it all makes sense somehow. I enjoyed this one and I definitely added it to my playlist.
'Emotional Bruises'
This one has Amy Winehouse written all over it and I love it. It reminded me of Wake Up Alone a lot. Loved the lyrical play in the chorus and the production is very nice. One of the best on the album: very simple but very well done.
'Everything Happens For A Reason'
Once again: WHO THE FUCK HURT HER? I WANNA TALK. It's a nice ballad (I'm surprised by myself). I now want her to take the old school sound, grab it by the balls and slay us all. She can excell at jazz, soul and blues easily. I hope she does that! The song is nice but her vocal delivery is the highlight of it.
'Channel Surfing / The End'
A weird outro but a very good one. It's like a summary for the whole project. Not much to say.
Final Thoughts: Overall, the album is way too long but go ahead and feed your fans sis good for you. Did I enjoy it? As a whole project, no. As individual songs, a little. As a project, the whole thing is too long and gets repetitive and boring sometimes. But individually speaking, some songs really stand out such as BOYSHIT, Stained Glass and Emotional Bruises. I think Madison is trying to find her voice with this project. I'd say it's pretty obvious that she would excell in traditonal pop. She has good vocals and knows how to write her experiences on paper so that's good and promising. Good luck Madison and I hope to hear more jazz, soul and blues from you!

Life support- Madison Beer
What a great statement for her debut album. I just feel like she now knows her sound..?
My favorites are Selfish, Blue and Stay numb and carry on.
Don't be shy, reblog or tell me your fave!
Special mentions: effortlessly and homesick for the storyline and concept
Tbh I love albums with intros, endings and interludes.
I'm not gonna let it go unnoticed that most songs were only 2-3 mins long and short songs are awesome
