What is Nixelagos' preferred spec as a warlock from an ooc in-game perspective, but also does he lean towards a certain spec ic?

Nixalegos is a destruction warlock. This isn't to say he's a slouch when it comes to demonology, his mastery of binding greater summons is commendable, his will hardened to steel, enforcing his commands with an iron grip. His invocation of curses and maledictions is as cutting and cruel as such vile works require, even going so far as to inflict such scathing 'remarks' on himself, just to keep his sadism wound as tight as a coil. His handle of necromancy is well established, even those who's work necessitates the cold embrace of the grave and the rotten have consulted him on such matters in the past, and likely into the future. His blood rituals have pivoted from the San'layn and Mogu practices from which his tutelage have started all those years ago. When it comes to the manipulation of his own vital fluid, he can only count a handful of beings who outstrip him. But when push comes to shove, when his back is to the wall, when oblivion is on the line, Lord Felscythe burns. The intoxication of immolation is as euphoric as the highest high. He has heard the song that is the word of creation sung backwards. He has laid his hands on the fibers of space and time, and gorily pulled at its supple sinew like slow roasted pork and eaten it raw, squirming, and still screaming. He thinks velocity is savory. Everything, even concepts like hope have melting points.

"Arise my minions! Arise you angry dead! Arise and slaughter the living, slaughter them in the name of GORZAGAR! AHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

The necromancer's voice rang out across the valley where the small, oft forgotten village of Hornsfirth sat, nestled in the southern hills of what was once proud Alterac. The scourge surged forth, shambling forms snarling and hissing in anticipation of the slaughter to come, seeking only to consume and destroy the life before them, and to obey the all consuming voice of their warlord that filled what passed for their minds.

Arrayed against them, a hodgepodge of mercenaries and adventurers that had rushed to the area, helping the militia erect barricades of wood that might slow the advance. Even these shamblers, weak as they were, were far too numerous. It would be a desperate holding action until reinforcements could come. Desperate calls had gone out in every direction, to the Alliance, Horde, and the Argents, but no one knew how long it would be until any of them would arrive.

Among the mercenaries, Ghorren stood out. The only troll among the defenders, a proud Zanadalari who towered over the assembled humans, dwarves, elves, and other smaller peoples. He had offered his suggestions to the militia, then taken his place at the barricades. His blade felt warm in his hand, the mogu-steel glinting in the light of the bonfires set mere yards ahead, more obstacles to slow the undead charge.

"No backing out now, eh big man?" the human to his left nervously asked, his poorly fitted chain-mail rattling as he hefted his spear.

"Not even if I wanted to. There be no retreat today, my friends." he said, louder than he had to, making sure the other defenders in his vicinity could hear him. "There shall only be holding this position, and praying for the reinforcements to be swift. But don't be afraid. The Loa of Death has his hands filled already, I don't think he's goin' out of his way to come and gather us up. Pray to your gods, claim their strength, and let's kill some damn scourge!" he yelled, raising his sword high, letting the magical fires within flare out. He was rewarded with a resounding cheer, a boost to morale that might just buy them a few more minutes. No more time for anything else.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the human boy set his spear to receive the charge, and nodded to himself, setting his own blade as the scourge crashed into the barrier, and the battle was joined.

Battle Buddies

“I need you to toss me.”

Her father's request immediately drew inquisitive speculation from the young monk. It wasn’t the oddest thing he had asked her, especially in times like these. But still, it was always quite the head turner.

“Again?” Soriya questioned with a chuckle. “What’s with you and that?”

“Listen, until I’m able to invent spring loaded shoes that are good for sneaking? I need people to do this for me. I’m not going to be able to get high enough to get past him.” With a wagging finger toward a towering Mogu Stoneguard with an even bigger mallet blocking the narrow canyon pass forward. 

“Put that chi magic to good use, yeah?”

Teal eyes scanned over the situation a little more carefully as Kirollis’ plan started to make a little bit more sense. If her father could clear the stoneborn warrior before them, he could deal with the two summoners diligently working on an anima ritual. “Suuuuure. Just leave the big Mogu to me, right?” She teased.

“Come on you deal with them better. It’s like i’m trying to chisel a statue with a butter knife when I do it.” He begrudgingly admitted. Adding in a soft chuckle to soften the blow to his ego. “I can give you a grenade or something if you really want.”

“Not really my style, dad.”

With another chuckle Kirollis replied “Fair enough. Just aim for the rocks above em, I’ll bounce.” 

“You got it.” Soriya replied before getting into position. Squatting down with a knee near the ground, her hands cupped and fingers interlocked as she waited for the rogue. Sure enough his boot found her hands, instantly causing her to rocket him upward over her shoulder with a little boost from her chi magic. 

Swiftly she looked over her shoulder only to see Kirollis sail up against the rocky wall of a canyon, using the momentum she had gifted him to bounce himself forward off the surface. Safely landing him between the summoners as their guardian still seemed to process his aerial evasion.

“Hey, sorry I’m late. I lost my invite and the bouncer seemed like a real dick. Did you guys start the blood ritual without me?” She heard from just beyond the way. Forcing a smirk on to her lips as her father cheekily taunted the pair before the sounds of steel clashing echoed from the outcropping.

The stone guardian had stopped it’s advance on her, instead focusing on the commotion behind it and its charge to defend the summoners now in the midst of an attack. A mistake that Soriya fully capitalized on as she barreled toward her opposition. Sending a foot to the back of the creature's knee that forced it down to the ground. Immobilizing it was only the first step in her plan as the young monk reared back into an offensive stance firmly planted her feet as she sent a barrage of fluid and short punches into the guardians back. The first of which didn’t seem overly effective, but with each successful strike her hands began to glow white with chi, becoming more devastating with each succession until the statue began to chip away. Five strikes was all it took until she shifted, concentrating the energy she had built up into her back foot before sending a crushing roundhouse kick into her opponents neck- forcibly moving the statue into the canyon wall beside them as stone met stone in a loud crash.

Linen wraps she wore around her hands offered some cushion, but against solid stone they still left a sting against her knuckles. As the Guardian recovered slowly, so too did she, taking the time to shake out her hands and prepare them for another assault against that same granite. Adopting a flowing style as she bounced on the balls of her feet, with the creature's attention now solely on her she knew she had to defend. Animated stone was slow, yet powerful, it would only take one wrong move for it to land a blow that could kill her.

As the pair squared off again, Soriya once more capitalized on her speed; waiting for the guardian to rear his hammer back for an overhead smash she lurched forward. Landing two blows against her opponent's broad target of a chest, building her chi in the process.  As the hammer swung down to crush the monk, it only found earth and air as Soriya slipped to the side, narrowly avoiding the mallets wrath. Keeping with her momentum the monk hopped up onto the slender pole, still in the mogu’s grasp, using it as a springboard to deliver another powerful spinning kick to the creature's head as she gracefully landed on her feet beside it. 

She had fought these stone creatures for months now. She had learned how they operated. So different then fighting another person, or a living creature, these inanimate stone guardians brought to life by foul magics didn’t show pain, or fear, or ever slow down in the face of danger. They were emotionless husks meant for one purpose; to attack until they could no longer. Instead one had to look at the cracks in their structure to tell if they were winning the fight. While her small attacks to the creature's body had not bore any fruit, the damage she had done to its head was telling.

“You got me?” She called out as she reset once more into a power stance with her feet planted. Drawing her fists closer to her center mass as she took in a deep breath and focused on a single fist until it began to glow a burning white. All the while the stone Guardian had once more lifted it’s mallet up above it’s head.

“Always.” Kirollis responded from behind the creature as she watched the overextended mallet sink further down to the ground as the rogue put his weight on it from behind.

With the path clear Soriya collapsed her stance before springing upward into a devastating uppercut, impacting into the statues already cracked and fragile head until it shattered into pieces. With the magic lifted the stone creature simply fell backward against the weight of its own positioning.

A Treatise on Transmutation V: Stones of Peace

In pale contrast to this madness is the singular stone used in Pandaria for transmutation. The Pandaren, in all their wisdom, use an object pre-ordained for transmutation to transmute beautiful gems and rare, complex metals such as ghost iron and trillium. Their stones, known as Zen Alchemist’s Stones, are the literal eyes of non-living Mogu statues, wrapped in three petals of golden lotus - one each day for three days. The Pandaren believe the golden lotus, a symbol of heroic sacrifice, to remove all foul intention from these stones of transmutation. Each stone is registered to a tribal leader for two reasons. The first is a simple matter of responsibility, the second, a far more interesting reason. Mantid are known to steal and hoard these stones from Mogu and Pandaren alike, for the singular purpose of transmuting Kypari. Using a cleansed stone forged by will and petal for such a purpose renders the stone powerless after a few uses - yet the Mantid have blessedly either not the magic, knowledge, or willpower to make more of these stones.

This stone is a true masterwork of transmutation, and to make one successfully is quite a feat. If you are able to make one, you can make some truly beautiful creations with its magic. Pandaren attach complex, necessary hand motions to their transmutations, called Mudras. Each mudra signals an intention for a certain type of change. For example, the thumb and forefinger clasped in a circle with the rest of the digits in a loose line, known as the “Gyan” Mudra, signals the intention to transmute the stone’s Serpent’s Eye. Watching a pandaren transmute is much like a dance, an art form of itself. Learning this practice requires time and discipline, but it is one of the kinder fields of advanced transmutation.

An odd resource found only in Pandaria is a spirit of harmony, an elemental mote used to transmute ghost iron to living steel. These motes are powerful conduits of calm, ordered energy used to beckon one substance from another. They are used across Pandaria as a trade currency, as transmutation is a rather common - albeit regulated - practice of the isle people.

Izazov modernosti Milije Belića u Gornjem Milanovcu

U četvrtak, 8. avgusta 2019. godine, u Modernoj galeriji u biblioteci „Braća Nastasijević“, u Gornjem Milanovcu, otvorena je izložba slika i skulptura, našeg i francuskog umetnika svetske reputacije - Milije Belića. U holu Kulturnog centra prikazane su strip crteži istog autora. Imao sam veliku čast, ali i zadovoljstvo da na poziv slikara, skulptora, teoretičara umetnosti i pisca, učestvujem u književnoj večeri u Velikoj sali Kulturnog centra, na kojoj je upriličena promocija knjige “Izazov modernosti” (New Moment / Arhipelag, Beograd, 2017).

Tokom obraćanja u Modernoj galeriji, Milija je izrazio posebno zadovoljstvo što posetioci mogu da vide ne samo starija ostvarenja, već i najnovija dela dovršena ove godine. Prisutni ljubitelji, navikli da uživaju u slikama i skulpturama, ovog puta bili su u nesvakidašnjoj prilici da prate jedinstven dugogodišnji kreativni razvoj, sve do ideja koje trenutno opsedaju umetnika. Paralelno, zainteresovani u holu Kulturnog centra mogli su da se podsete autorovih likovnih početaka u umetnosti stripa. Milija se stripom bavio u gimnazijskim danima, kao sjajan crtač čiji je talenat rano primećen. Tadašnji glavni urednik "Dečjih novina", Srećko Jovanović, angažovao je perspektivnog umetnika kao pomoćnog crtača za rad na stripu o Mirku i Slavku. Autor stripa o dvojici mladih partizanskih kurira - Desimir Žižović Buin, nije mogao da zadovolji zahteve potražnje. Avanture dua koji se borio protiv stranih zavojevača, pratilo je u SFRJ preko 200.000 redovnih čitalaca. Pre nego što je započeo studije na Fakultetu likovnih umetnosti u Beogradu, Milija je konačno dobio priliku da realizuje projekat sa sopstvenim junacima, dečakom Danom i psom Rikijem. Strip je objavljen u okviru revije "Kuriri", početkom sedamdesetih.

Nakon što je obišla oba izložbena prostora, raspoložena publika udobno se smestila u Velikoj sali Kulturnog centra. Kao finale kulturnog događaja posvećenog stvaralaštvu Milije Belića, srdačni domaćini iz biblioteke "Braća Nastasijević" organizovali su promociju knjige "Izazov modernosti".

Svaki put kada je otvorimo, Milijina knjiga izgleda drugačije, u skladu sa našim trenutnim interesovanjima, znanjima, potrebama. Bilo da se radi o istraživaču savremenih umetničkih stremljenja, ili o filozofu i istoričaru umetnosti, ili o ljubitelju umetnosti i umetnika relativno slabo upućenom u teorijske detalje procesa stvaranja – svako ko joj priđe otvorenog srca, pronaći će u njoj nešto novo i neobično i vredno. Knjiga nam nudi veliki broj istančanih uvida, pokušava da pomogne čitaocu da dođe do nekih novih i dubljih odgovora na stara pitanja i, kako to već biva na svakom autentičnom putovanju – otvara brisane prostore za drugačija pitanja, i krči puteve za drugačija promišljanja.

  Ljubitelji klasičnih slikarskih pravaca poput Baroka, pronaći će u Milijinoj knjizi podsećanja na neponovljiva ostvarenja Rubensa i Rembranta ili Goje. Ako vas zanimaju slikari koji su revolucionarno promenili naše viđenje sveta, vodio je Milija plodan dijalog sa Matisom i Pikasom ili Polokom. Kada se radi o teorijskom zasnivanju nauke o umetnosti, tumačio je Milija zapise Mondrijana i Maljeviča ili Klea. Ali, Milijino teorijsko poznavanje i stvaralačka praksa ne zaustavljaju se srećom na slikarskim radovima, već u pokušaju da se približi kritičnoj tački kada se kreativna iskra javlja, Milija se nadovezuje i na skulpturalna pregnuća Brankusija i Arpa ili Rodena.

Kada nakon dužeg perioda, ponovo otvorimo knjigu, čitamo je kao hroniku aktuelnih galerijskih i muzejskih dešavanja u Parizu, jednoj od svetskih umetničkih prestonica. Sledeći put, knjiga nam se prikazuje kao istorija neobične i neobično plodne tajne i trajne veze između dva prijateljska grada: Beograda i Pariza. Podseća nas Milija da su ovu vezu učvršćivali brojni naši velikani poput Lubarde, Omčikusa ili Veličkovića. Saznajemo da je Nadežda Petrović učestvovala na jednoj od prvih izložbi fovista, rame uz rame sa Pikasom i Matisom! Podseća nas Belić i da je kralj Milan Obrenović bio jedan od prvih kolekcionara dela mladih impresionista i da je osobito cenio i pazario Lotrekove radove. Čitatelj ima sreću da o savremenim tendencijama ove tradicionalne kulturne povezanosti sazna iz prve ruke, od stvaraoca koji je i sam deo tih konstantnih migracija, i aktivni učesnik i urednik izložbi i salona svetskog renomea, poput čuvenog salona Nove realnosti (Le Salon Réalités Nouvelles). Čak je i likovni okvir suviše sužen da bi obuhvatio Milijina kulturna interesovanja, što dobro ilustruju tekstovi: “Tesla u Parizu” i “Godina Japana u Srbiji”.

Milijina gipka i razigrana reč kreće se na više nivoa, u pokušaju da nam ukaže na smernice globalne informatičke realnosti na početku dvadeset i prvog veka. Autor se ne ustručava da za svedoke sopstvenih zaključaka pozove i filozofe poput Hajdegera, i istoričare umetnosti poput Herberta Rida, ili savremene kompozitore poput Ksenakisa, i drevne matematičare poput Pitagore. Knjiga može da se čita i kao zbornik intervjua u kojima Milija razmenjuje kreativnu energiju sa velikanima prošlosti i sadašnjosti na putu ka boljoj budućnosti.

U svemu navedenom ne iscrpljuje se Milijina teorijska i poetska imaginacija, naprotiv. Tek na takvim, dobro promišljenim i utvrđenim temeljima, misao autora dobija adekvatan zamah neophodan za pokušaj razumevanja savremene razuđene svetske plastičke umetničke scene. Stilovi i pravci niču, granaju se i prepliću, a potom nepovratno venu, ponekad isuviše brzo da bi bili zabeleženi, kamoli detaljno obrazloženi ili dublje osmišljeni. Potrebno je mnogo znanja, entuzijazma i pre svega ljubavi, da bi se neko drznuo da u tim naizgled nepovezanim kreativnim trzajima, pokuša da pronađe zajedničku nit i barem naznaku objedinjujuće tendencije jednog uzbudljivog doba u kojem je promena jedina konstanta. Milija u ritmu pronalazi polazište i osnovu stvaranja. I knjiga ima specifičan ritam izlaganja, a publici autor prepušta da pronađe svoj ritam čitanja.

  U kojoj god prilici da otvorite knjigu i na koji god način vam se tada prikaže, možda je najfascinantnije u svemu, što će vas dočekati sveobuhvatan optimističan ton i iskrena uverenost da, uprkos kolektivnim noćnim morama kroz koje smo prošli, zajedno polako otvaramo oči za jedan do sada nezabeležen horizont umetničkih i kulturnih mogućnosti. Autor priznaje da mu se put umetnosti dosta rano ukazao kao put smisla. Iglooghost Adds to His Fantastically Haunting World With “Amu”

UK-based artist Iglooghost does more than make music. He creates worlds that blend reality and fiction, expanding his shared world of supernatural entities, tiny gods, and the space they inhabit with each multimedia release. “Amu” sees Iglooghost adding this to ever-growing world for the first time since the release of his 2018 solo EPs Clear Tamei and Steel Mogu.

The single itself was not released in traditional fashion; there was no cookie-cutter marketing push and tease. Instead, Iglooghost led listeners down a scavenger hunt through ancient websites to find four hidden stones, thus unlocking “Amu.”

This digital puzzle saw users gather in a special discord chatroom where they had to communally organize themselves, decode mysterious files via SoulSeek and shady networks, and bargain with a 12-year-old producer by the name of Lil Blimpo, who just so happened to experience an otherworldly event at a Neolithic stone circle in Cornwall. Their reward was “Amu,” an otherworldly track quite unlike anything else out there. Iglooghost spoke further on the online puzzle, sharing,

“I think loads of people around my age grew up immersed in these kinds of feral, infinite wormhole-like music communities online. When I was 14 me and my friends would spend days doing ridiculous things like trading fake unreleased Odd Future beats for genuine ones, following breadcrumb trails of dead links and ancient profiles to grab demos from our favorite music people at the time. Mixing these kinds of experiences with storytelling and magic-realism was a really fun way to get tons of crazy weirdos in a chatroom cracking codes and spamming text at lightning speed. To me, treating the internet like a huge, expansive wilderness feels like a way more tantalising prospect than just staying cooped up on the same 3 social networks everyday.”

There is a fantastical and haunting curiosity to “Amu.” The children’s choir backed by bursts of hyper-futuristic dance production tells the story of the titular creature, from their anatomy to religious structure. It is an exercise in enthralling production as much as it is worldbuilding. Its grandeur, akin to a sonic interpretation of sacred texts, demands your attention, as each second whisks you deeper and deeper into Iglooghost’s expansive world.

Alongside the release of “Amu” arrives a music video directed by Luke Gibson that brings “Amu” and their ecosystem to life byway of 3D animation. The video tells the tale of treacherous journey, from a local chip shop to a clandestine shrine on the outskirts of town.
