Though Steel type Pokémon have a reputation for resilience and being easy to care for, there's little resources for us Steel type trainers to go around. Do you have any tips you would like to share?
-Give steel types a lot of iron. They need it. Sometimes, it'll just be foods with high iron, and sometimes, it will be literal iron. It depends on the pokemon.
-Steel types can overheat easily, and most don't like the sun. If they don't feel like being in their pokeball in places where you can't avoid the sun, they have sunscreen made specifically for steel types that you can put on them
-Most are heavy. Even the small ones. Aron may look like a skrunkly little guy, but Aron is also 132 lbs
-Most really don't like fire. Unless it's fire from pokemon battling, keep them away from fire

Any tips on Magnemite? I found the little one pretty banged up, so I took them home and polished them up, trying to tend to their injuries. They seem to be on the up and up, but I've never cared for a Pokemon who is more... inanimate object than animal.
Well, lucky for you, I know a thing or two about steel types from my time caring for Sylvester.
You want to make sure they are receiving iron rich foods or supplements.
You can easily get this in many forms, or in powders, you can sprinkle over other food.
If their body is rusted at all, you need to first use a wire brush to get rid of excess rust and then get them in a special bath that can oxide the rest of the rust off.
After that, you want to get a special powder to fill in any deep scratches on their body. It's similar to a sandy metal.
After that sets, a light sanding, polishing, and buffing will set them right.
They still need to eat, rest and some they have a lot of electricity, you'll want to make sure they aren't over charged or discharging, so you can easily get them measured and checked at a pokemon center.
If all of this goes well, the little guy should be okay. If there are any persisting issues, you should take them to a specialist and have them examined even closer.
Hope that helps!

Calli, hey! Can you design a pokeball (heavy ball specifically) based on Beldum?
Sure. It's going to be a nightmare to throw, but I hope you like it

Orio (Adopted)
Tumblr media
Name: Orio
Species: Gholdengo
Type: Steel/Ghost
Terra Type: Steel
Breed: Standard
Sex: Sexless (prefers it pronouns)
Height: 4'00
Weight: 66.2
Ability: Good as Gold
Moveset: Metal sound, Make it rain, Power gem, Take down, Nasty plot
This guy is so silly. Ignoring how it's over 50 years old, it still acts like it's 7. But they are technically immortal, so it doesn't matter. Anyways, Orio is just recently evolved from a Gimmighoul after completing it's quest of finding 999 coins. Congrats to it! It's pretty easy to care for, since Gholdengo are self sufficient, but Orio's also really active and loves to battle and run around. Preferably have an experience trainer adopt it. It's favorite food are gold coins (obviously), and its favorite toys are bells. If interested in adoption, reblog this post with your qualifications and why.

679. You know the rumor that FROZEN's title was meant to bump all the search results about Walt Disney's cryogenically frozen head?  Sometimes I wonder if Pokémon Sword and Shield got called that so people would stop making fun of honedge so much. Anyway, he’s a dumb ghost sword

If I’ve learned anything with steel types. Is that they can either be the most durable Pokémon ever when it comes to living situations, or the exact opposite. My bisharp refuses to go anywhere during a heat wave unless it’s for swimming. Cold on the other hand. He has a room to himself and it is currently freezing in there.

"Ah, a Professor! I see you'ce made posts containing information regarding several Pokémon. Do you have any interesting facts on Aegislash? They're such splendid Pokémon, you see, so I'm always wanting to learn more about them!"
[@/kalosian-ghost-type-waiter, as a silly part of the pokemon takeover event.]
I do! My rival has an Aegislash, and I was able to learn more about them because of him!
Aegislash Facts
Tumblr media
(Art by Ryuta Fuse)
-The scientific name for Aegislash is "Spiritiva Gladius" which roughly translates to "The spirit of the sword"
-Many tales and spurious sources claim Aegislash are born from a spirit inhabiting a sword, though this isn't true for modern individuals which have parents much like any other pokémon - the origins of the honedge line could have begun via a process like this, however' (from @oberons-ghost )
-Once they completely gain the trust of their trainers, Aegislash will treat them like Kings/Queens and will listen to their every command
-Since Aegislash sustain themselves off the energy of organisms, having a garden they can feed off of is a good idea. You don't want them to feed off you
-In the wild, Aegislash have been known to gather many pokemon and start their own "kingdoms" with them
-There were multiple instances in history where an Ageislash has killed someone that has tried to weird them as a sword. They seem to only let their trainers use them as a sword
-Aegislash don't have a known lifespan, and some dormant ones have been found dating back to 3,000 years old!
Tumblr media
-For some reason, many Aegislash are shown to really respect Tsareena
-Despite Ageislash being most known in Kalos for protecting royalty, they actually originated from the Galar region
-Many myths state that the legendary heroes or Galar fought with an Aegislash
-A cool thing about Aegislash is that the pattern on its shield resembles the Celtic trinity knot
-Doublade can't evolve into Aegislash if one sword is separated from the other
-The shield is actually the second doublade sword and is still sentient

HOW DO POKÉMON WITH NO MOUTH EATTT I’ve been staring at my Honedge eating pokepuffs and I’m so confused. Where does it go. Does it have an invisible mouth. Are they mentally eating and it’s powerful enough to make such a treat disappear. Where are your teeth, mister sword. WHERE ARE THEY.
Ahhh ok so here's a complex question.
So some pokemon do indeed have tiny mouths to eat with that you just can't see (caterpie, for example)
But some pokemon actually absorb their food into their bodies, but it looks like they are eating
However, pokemon like Honedge have a slightly different way of doing it.
They have a sort of "energy" that "chomps" the food and compresses it into small bits and then absorbs it, simulating eating and absorbing at the same time.
Honedge can also get nutrients by mixing powders and water into a sort of slurry that they can absorb easily, usually a mix of protein and iron.
Pokemon are very complex, and you'd be surprised at what they can do.
