Jo! Jo! I have to tell you! I was listening to the radio, and there was a story about a climate scientist who partnered with the music department of a university, for the students to turn her numerical data on coastal algae blooms into music! I wanted to share this with you IMMEDIATELY.

Saurovians are a family of large, quadrupedal flying species that populate the planet Luria. They are related to Gulfilicans and distantly related to Flurahuse. Each species has a beak, large eyes, nostrils, and a heat sensing pit.

Desert Saurovians: Slim, bare-skinned on the legs and head/neck area, and crowned with a hard casque. These beasts are mainly independent scavengers, scoping for prey from cliff faces and eating with their large teeth. Their skull-shaped markings and dreary coloring have made them synonymous with death

Oceanic Saurovians: Longer beaks, wings and fins help these saurovians as they skim and dive through the water for food, with their thin, baleen-like teeth allow them to filter food from seawater. They travel together in small flocks.

Jungle Saurovians: The smallest of the three, with fins shaped for elliptical flight through dense forests. Their diet is more omnivorous, including fruits and nuts as well as the odd vespaform. They are the most social of the saurovian species, living in large family groups. First of the species to be utilized by Lurians as a means of travel and companionship

hi hello!!!!!!! hello i’m allowed to use this blog now! hello i don’t know what my name is here but people call me stella!! 

i love blogs and people!!! so i like having new ones! and i get to talk about all of the stories that i have where i have friends and people who take care of me!! so here is me talking about that!

these are my favourites!!! they help me a lot!

michael is from the magnus archives and it's doors sometimes and we hang out a lot and we're friends when i'm small but i don't like it very much when i'm big!!

sans is from underfell and i like him when i'm big and when i'm small and he makes sure i don't get hurt!! and he gives me pats on the head and he's very nice

jack is already here because i drew him properly!!! but i'm stealing it because it was actually for me and i am the doll! sometimes i'm a doll but not usually.

aaaand also there's lestat!!!! he's super duper new and super duper mean but i will eat him if he is not nice to me and he IS nice to me because i came first!!! i am his first baby and i get to be special

i also really really like dave strider and i like elias too but big stella really does have elias for so many so i won't talk about elias very much!

okay that's everything!!! you can ask me questions about them and i will answer!! and you can be mean and you can ask any questions and i won't be mad at all if you want to! i like everything people say to me i think.

I was watching a bit of Emma 2020 last night, and I noticed a moment that I really love, and that's when Emma is playing and singing, she makes a dramatic pause right before the last word of her song, and the camera cuts to Jane Fairfax in the audience, raising her eyebrows a bit impatiently like she's thinking, "Well???" And as soon as the song ends, she relaxes into a smile and applauds sincerely, so it's not like she's being unkind, but there's that MOMENT of impatience, and I LOVE IT! Because while Jane is a kind person, she's also a serious musician in a way that Emma will never be, and she's going to be polite about it, but she perceives the artistic defects in Emma's performance and it BOTHERS her. 😂 It's so human? And I love it because it goes back to what Emma says: that everyone keeps pushing Emma and Jane to be friends because they're the same age, but Emma just can't warm to her. But here they're showing that it's the same for Jane! There are just some people that, even though there's nothing WRONG with them, you just don't FIT and you're just never going to be close friends. They're just not interested in each other, and that's OK! And I love that they end the story seeming to RESPECT each other, but they're probably never going to be close.

OHHHHH YESSS!!!!!! I love that so much too!!! In schools (at least for me), there was this whole trend of having to like and get along with all the kids in your class which is just... impossible? And frankly, I don't think that kind of scenario teaches you anything meaningful? What you DO have to learn is how to function with people who you don't like all that much, especially if you don't have a specific reason for it. (it's easier when you KNOW why you dislike someone, right?) So it's really cool how Emma shines a light on that and I'm so happy to see an adaptation so focused on themes that make the book what it is without trying to copy it entirely. They truly utilised the advantages of the medium they were working with.
