Here’s the latest Stemae, featured in my previous video.
Stemotl (Chroma): While Stemotls are not native to this region, they have been popular in research worldwide for their regenerative abilities. Researchers predict there is a way to reverse Stemotl's morphing process; however the process is still being studied.
Neurotl (Chroma/Neura): The covers on Neurotl's body are smaller when the Neurotl is unwell, causing them to have slower movement. Neurotls can communicate with others through the electrical shocks they send out of their tail.
Myotl (Chroma/Forta): Fully relaxed Myotl arms can stretch out to be pretty long; however some parts are usually contracted. Myotls can understand the secret messages Neurotls communicate through the Neurotls' tails.
Dermotl (Chroma/Phasma): Dermotl's wings are grown from Dermotl's body and they have to be replenished as parts of the wing shed off over time. Dermotls sometimes rip-off their cloaks to protect younger Stemotls.
Osteotl (Chroma/Metalla): Osteotls can make a sturdy home for themselves by spitting out and forming a bone matrix which they can reabsorb if needed. Some reports claim seeing a Myotl throw an Osteotl at an enemy to deter them with Osteotl's spines.
Adipotl (Chroma/Toxa): The sticky covers on Adipotl allow them to stick to each other and various surfaces to block certain passageways. Adipotls can use their storage to generate heat in cold climates, welcoming Stemotls to huddle around them.

I present you with Photolotl, an evolution for @n0rtist’s Stemotl.
This Stema is based on photoreceptor cells (cones and rods) even tho I’m pretty sure N0rt already has a design based on those.
Not sure what the type would be. Maybe pure Chroma? Because light. Maybe Chroma/Umbra? Because color perception and shadow/shape perception could be represented by both types respectively.
Its body is arched in that way because it’s supposed to be a wave.
I did make a lotlution based on hair cells (the ones that percieve sounds) but it needs workshopping. Originally they were going to riff on the “new types I’m not gonna add” video, but now the chroma type is the light type, so that doesn’t make much sense anymore.

I’m a huge fan of Fakemon projects, especially @n0rtist’s stema region! It’s such a unique concept and I can’t wait for the final game. I love the designs, especially the Slugant line, so I made some art.

This guy is Pequod, the Metamolder
I've been following @n0rtist 's stema region ( https://www.youtube.com/@n0rtist ) for a while and I wanted to draw one of his designs. This is my rendition of Metamolder. I liked the way metamolder's head protuberance looks like a pirate hat and the pirate hat in itself looks like a boat so I drew Pequod, the noble ship of the not-so-noble pirate gang led by the unnamed fella waving his sword at nothing over there. I also added a Levestress and some Lagomights on the ship since N0rt had the intention of making them the bad guy mons.

I drew a Soapple with someone holding angry eyebrows infront of it because I thought this would be super cute 0: I always enjoyed when people draw creatures as if they were real pets in an everyday senario. I have done this before with my snakes, so I figured it be fun.
I sadly got some of the colours off because I was using a different device then the one I was drawing on so I couldn't really colour pick the correct colours. I did my best though and I think I got some of them right. I also did my best to do it as a lineless drawing in the way I do lineless, as I admire the simple lineless style n0rtist does!
The Stema project is made, designed, and being developed by @n0rtist. I really like the designs made and wanted to do some fan art of a few of them. If you like creature collectors and you like STEM, please check it out! I highly recommend the video break downs on youtube as they discuss alot of fun topics there, but they also stream on twitch! 0: I haven't tagged someone on tumblr before, so hopfully I did that right and you can view the n0rtist tumblr page.

@n0rtist's Stema Project is by far my favorite creature collector!! his designs are inspired, all being based off of various STEM topics, and the explanations of the science behind the inspirations are clear and effective! I've learned about so many cool concepts from his videos, and even understood limits in calculus for the first time!
I've wanted to make the starters out of Perler beads for a while and stumbling across n0Rtist's own pixel art of them here was enough to send me into a creative frenzy and put together all 3 in one night so without further ado, meet Pyro type Potink, Dendro type Slugant, and Hydro type Micicule! (individual photos below the cut)

made a little model of Slugant - one of the starters from @n0rtist‘s STEMA Region project! its not 100% the same as the official art - i added my own little quirks and little details i enjoy but its pretty cool either way!
more stuff under the cut :3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
heres the un-posed model and some armature i was working on! i actually got most of the weight painting done, but any extreme movements tend to get..... very wonky (its my first time adding armature to anything lol). i tried painting it in paint 3d, but after i made some progress, it suddenly crashed so im just going with the solid green lol
Tumblr media
heres a version where i modeled some eyes (they look a bit silly)
Tumblr media
and a back view! i originally interpreted the official art as the leaf arms coming around the back like a cape, then my friend pointed it it may just be a sort of hunched over back like a slug has! i went with the 2nd interpretation cuz it seemed easier to model lol

Stemian Natu
The stump Pokemon
STEM topic: Dendrochronology
The Natu of Stema have been found to make psych connections to trees dead and alive.
It is said that if you look through a Natu’s perforation while it sleeps on a stump you’ll be able to get a glimpse of the past.
Stemian Xatu
The orbital Pokémon
STEM topic: Carbon 14 dating
Unlike the Xatu of Johto, Stemian Xatu can look far into the past instead of predicting the future, some speculate they actually experience time in reverse.
When the sun shines through Xatu’s perforation a projection of a past event will play for a brief moment, this has made them an invaluable companion for Stemian historians.
Uatu
The crystalline Pokémon
STEM topic: U-Pb dating, isotope decay
Almost like a living computer, Uatu have one of the most complex brains amongst Pokémon, being able to effortlessly make lengthy calculations in the blink of an eye or three.
Uatu are reclusive beings, almost never interacting with other creatures be it Pokémon or human making them quite difficult to train. It is said that when a Uatu has found a trustworthy partner, it’ll share some of its vast knowledge with them as a sign of respect.
Layout inspired (cough cough, copied, cough cough) from @n0rtist, because it is his challenge and I wanted it to look on brand.

I learned a cool thing in science. If you burn certain metals, the fire turns a different color. So I made a Bunsen burner bunny with a rotom-like mechanic that references that. This is technically a fakemon due to the lithium sample making it fire/dragon type, but the spirit of @n0rtist's stema project is very much in this!
