[Repost part 2] Why do I combine Seliph with Kirby? I dunno, but it looks fun. Anyway, the Waddle Dee field I draw is for the manifest Fe4 remake and new Kirby land, it before the Forgotten Land announced in last year's direct.
And surprising, I managed to avoid the leaks (I found out forgotten land got leaked before direct). There's still no fe4 remake sadly, but hopefully it's going to happen ᕙ(^▿^-ᕙ)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this one somewhere after Kirby mouthful mode got introduced XD
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And these Meta Knight doodle actually for me to get away from my burn out. Never continue them after 5th day though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both Adeleine and Ribbon my faves. I'm practicing to draw them closer to OG Kirby style or in my art style, I guess I decided to closer with Kirby style one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And last one just random Kirby crossover nothing much to say, but I'm curious about your opinion? 🤔
Anyway thank for reading this useless post I appreciate it!
For the part 1 here <-

⋆ So....I was scrolling through Instagram the other day and I saw one those fav character charts, and I thought it would be fun to make my own! ⋆
⋆ Poptropica mutuals, tell me about your favs, not just your main favs, your side favs! I will include the transparent version below, and my explanation to my choices down below if you are interested! I'm interested to see your choices. ⋆
⋆ Tada! Have fun! ⋆
Tumblr media
⋆ Now, an explanation to my choices: ⋆
⋆ Your Favorite: Director D ⋆
I think it's no surprise to ANYONE that knows me that Director D has always been my favorite, since day 1. There was a moment where he was almost replaced by Binary Bard, but he is a close second. Director D is my favorite because he is associated to my nostalgia of a time when I was obsessed with being a spy or ninja when I was a kid. (Spy kids may have played a BIG role in that.) Playing as an agent in that island was so exciting for me, but I do remember having trouble with certain parts like the decoder. (In hindsight I probably would be horrible spy XD.) Now that I'm older, his island is still one of my favs for that reason, but it's not my number one. I wish we could have gotten a bit more backstory for him, but, what can you do. (But create a backstory for him and I have.)
⋆ You Relate To: Black Widow ⋆
Black widow is a character I don't really talk about or draw like....ever, which is crazy because she's probably the character I relate to the most, just like many other artist do too I'm sure. I relate to her in the way of being jealous of other people's art success, and the constantly comparing yourself to others. They say you are your worst critic after all. I don't so much anymore. I'm actually proud of where I am in my art journey, but I used to do that a lot when I was younger, especially when I just started doing digital art.
You won't catch me stealing or ruining other people's art though... girl what-
⋆ Your Favorite Design: Ringmaster Raven ⋆
Look at him, 'nuff said. His design is amazing. I love the color palette, the mask used to cover his true look, the raven theme with the wings and mask, the hat with eyes, everything. His design is the best because it matches with the overall theme of the island, it being a MONSTER CARNIVAL, and he is the Ringmaster. I remember how hipped I was when his island trailer released. One of the best islands for sure.
⋆ Is Underrated: Count Bram⋆
Yeah, remember when I was constantly drawing him for a short period of time? It's for a reason. I love my vampire peepaw who's confused about everything. I'm curious, do people consider him a villain? I kind of don't for the reason that he kidnapped Katya because he thought she was Anabelle, and once he was cured and was bought back to reality, he apologized for it because he didn't know. You want to talk about villain? Christopher is the real villain, you can't change my mind. Anyway, I was looking at the old art I drew of him, and he looked familiar to me. Then it all came together. You know who he reminds of? Exactly? Simon Petrikov, you know, Ice King from Adventure Time? Not only do they have the same hair style and would have the same personality, but they were both humans at some point with a partner, and once they became what they became, all they thought about was their partner, aka Anabelle and Betty.
Poof, mind blown. Vampire peepaw deserves more love.
⋆ You'd get along with IRL: Amelia ⋆
Amelia is another character I don't really talk about or draw, mainly because I associate her with the new era of Poptropica. But, I don't think that's fair. Amelia is actually a very sweet character that I think little me would have appreciated if she came to the game sooner. I would probably get along with her really well, considering how silly, and nice she is. Not to mention, her love for cute stuff. Imagine her unicorn bedroom but replaced with bunnies. That's my room right now. I think that even traveling with her would be really fun. She would have gotten under the "you relate to" category too but I didn't want Amelia on here twice. XD
⋆ And finally...Your Favorite Side Character: Dr. Spyglass ⋆
I... do not know how to explain this one. Dr. Spyglass only gets a few words of dialog, and we know nothing about him in canon, besides him working for HQ, and being an eye doctor. I won't lie, I actually had a crush on this guy years ago, hence why I shipped him with Muddy. (I cringe at that ship now. XD) Probably because...he looks like Director D...with a lab coat. >_> Look at both of them and TELL ME they are not related, I dare you. My version of them are. I love the idea of this silly scientist being hired by his brother after failing the entry agent exam, not because he pitted him, but because he understood how incredibly smart he was and is. Constantly being compared to his brother and what he could have been. So, you can say I like MY version of him... a lot.
I should dedicate a post to him some day, eh?

Hey, any other Neo AUs you've drawn or been meaning to draw but fleshed out in your head? Like you have vampy Neo, and Hazbin Neo now, and the P3 Reload Neo you drew. Any other neato Neo'd you got cooking?
I don't even think I would count with P3 Neo because it was just one drawing, like, I would say I didn't flesh that out at all in my head aside of getting some basic questions about her arcana choice, it was more of a 'I like the style! I'll try to draw a Neo in it' for the small challenge than anything xD
Nevertheless, I may as well make a list of the Neos I've drawn in the style of other series, that were done for fun, rather than to flesh an AU
When it comes to the fleshed out AUs inside my head we have:
THE VAMPIRE AU
It was the first, I know a lot of people know of its existence, but I had to mention it anyway because I'll forever be fond of it. Like, vampires are one of my main hyperfixations, so I almost always gotta have a vampire AU if the character in question isn't one already.
Even if the main timeline is up to happen in a modern setting, I've actually written some of Neo's past in RP format to develop her life with her parents, when she was still a recently sired vampire and stuff.
Tumblr media
CYBERPUNK 2077 AU
I think the doodles speak very well by themselves, but the main idea with this was that Neo was an ex-Corpo that used to work for Salem (Grimm Corp.), which treated to experiment on Cyberpsychos in order to turn them into mechanical aberrations (like the Hound, but more Cyberpunk).
I was partially inspired by the run I played in my own Cyberpunk 2077 game lol
Tumblr media
Nevermore AU
My bestie and I watched the Wednesday show and ended brainstorming an AU for the academy that the protag stays at. I actually wrote a bit of Neo in the setting as well with my bestie, for the fun of it.
Tumblr media
POKEMON AU
I actually learnt a few things while doing this one and brainstorming ideas, because I had no idea they use Ditto in the mangas to shapeshift people, as in, Ditto can cover a person and use the shifting powers so the person has a disguise like, WHAT?
Anyway, a Pokemon AU of my Neo. Mimikyu was her starter as a kid when still known as Trivia. The Espeon actually helps with transmitting Neo's thoughts if she needs to communicate real bad, Ditto is for her own shapeshifting...
She also has a Vanilluxe and a Zoroark (her biggest ace in the sleeve) for proper battle and help with her crimes due to illusions. Vanillite and Ditto are the ones swapped for them in that case.
Tumblr media
ROCK AU
THE FUCKING ROCK AU HAS ONE OF MY FAVE NEO DESIGNS! Like I love her, I loved designing this one. It was fun. I should draw her more, honestly.
In this one, Neo ACTUALLY had a voice at first, she was actually a vocalist and keyboard player before an accident that left her vocal cords fucked up- had to go through an operation, but she never recovered her voice.
She's a musician that actually uses old records of her voice to develop a system that will replicate her voice for new songs, think like, Vocaloid, sort of.
She eventually meets Cinder and joins her band as a guitarist to honor Roman.
...eventually also falls out with her and ends with Ruby's band, initially to spite Cinder for kicking her out.
Tumblr media
MAFIA AU
Bruh, I even went ahead and designed all the members of the Ever After Mafia in this one. Neo wasn't initially part of them and had her own thing -Roman's Mafia- which she inherited after Roman died.
Cinder is like a double agent in this one and eventually betrays Neo and leaves her to die (following Salem's orders), but Neo survives and ends in the Ever After, desperate to have revenge against Salem's Mafia for what they did.
The Curious Cat is the big boss initially, but he was a motherfucking manipulator that took advantage of the other members when they were in their lowest, even Neo.
So Neo eventually has enough and kills him, becoming the boss instead, even if she honestly hates the responsibility. It's when Neo becomes the Mad Hatter for the group.
Tumblr media
EXORCIST AU
The recent one- I'm sure people don't need that much info of this one because it's pretty recent.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Other AUs: Rusted Knight but it's Neo suffering the time trap ; Werecat AU ; Serial Killer AU ; Jennifer's Body AU
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And now for other crossovers:
Among Us, TCOAAL, Hellborn Neo (Succubi + Demon Cat mix)(HH, Helluva Boss), Homestuck, Helltaker, Adventure Time, Sinner Neo (HH), Persona 3, Disney Cat

I wondered if i asked before, but i'm curious about what your DP x MLP FIM crossover AU you mentioned a few times is about?
DID YOU TELEPATHICALLY DEDUCE I'VE BEEN PLAGUED BY THE PONY PHANTOM AU?????!!!!
It's an AU where the events of Danny Phantom take place between g4-g5 of My Little Pony, with all the characters being ponies and creatures from MLP:FiM lore (except for the ghosts... those are a whole new wacky species) It takes place some time after the passing of Twilight's friends, but before Twilight rids Equestria of magic. Twilight is the last remaining princess and she's become a recluse and would be presumed dead if it wasn't for her controlling the sun and the moon still. The world is starting to fall apart at the seams, with older generations recognizing their belief in "the magic of friendship" to be a lie, focusing more on taking care of themselves than others, and technological advancement to protect their way of life (that's there to explain why the characters suddenly went from whatever FiM had going on to 'teh interwebs')
Here's an older thing I had to say on how ghosts work in this AU:
Tumblr media
Ghosts, if they appear as ponies, do not have cutiemarks, which is what makes Phantom (who does have one) special to Jack and Maddie and why they take such keen interest in him
Amity Park is located nearby an ancient ghost portal, one that has long been inactive, it gives AP a strange aura that draws in a lot of creatures all over the land, so AP has an unusually high mixed species population! Fun fact!
As this is a MLP AU, the main theme of it is friendship, the true meaning of magic, and family. So Vlad is the main villain and the biggest threat, his goal being to activate the ancient portal and unleash it's evil upon the land, finally forcing Jack and Maddie to witness the ultimate form of the horrors they've forced him to suffer through by activating that blasted proto-portal right in his face. Danny believes in the legends of Princess Twilight and the Elements of Harmony. While Vlad has seen what unrest that's come from the loss Twilight has gone through, and believes "The Princess of Friendship" to be the victim of a horrible curse who has been used as the unwilling vessel forced to carry out the wishes of "friends" that have selfishly made her suffer through their own mortality.
I got a lot of little tidbits, pony/species assignments for characters, backgrounds etc. etc. I think about this AU a normal amount xD
Hopefully I will get to drawing all those darned comics soon!!!!

Hello! I have a quick question: How do you come up with prompts? Like- you have done so many already and yet you still come up with new ones. I'm just curious about how ig?
(I hope it's alright that I ask, just genuinely curious) have a nice day/night!
That's a good question actually! Sometimes I wonder that myself xD
I have a couple of strategies for coming up with ideas. The first one is a random word generator. It gives me a couple of words with which I first try to make one sentence.
For example, lets say I got the word "cherry". Its a fruit, which makes me think of sweetness and eating, so I might start a prompt with something like: "The fruit tasted heavenly sweet on their tongue, drawing a pleased hum from their lips."
And now that I have a base, its pretty easy to add a couple more sentences and make a prompt out of it! And you can obviously use multiple words too if you want to!
Sometimes tho, none of the random words vibe with my brain. So then, I use a sentence generator (on the same website). There's a bunch of pre-written sentences that the generator can pick from (they're not ai generated) so the options are more limited but I do sometimes get ideas based on those too.
And if those two don't get my brain going, I try this website that gives you random songs. I read through the lyrics and try to come up with some scenario in my head based on them. (Tho I make sure not to just straight up copy the lyrics directly)
Other times tho, I'm just in the mood for something specifc. So I just write whatever I'm currently craving, like a specific character dynamic for example.
And on occasion, I just look at what's around me, and see if there's anything I could start a prompt with.
So in conclusion, I have many ways! But I will admit, even with all these sources, sometimes I simply get burnt out, and there isn't much I can do about it other than taking a small break.
Being creative is a ton of fun, but even that can be overdone if you're trying to come up with multiple interesting ideas every day. So remember to take breaks when you need them!
Hope this helped! <3

HII I’m not sure if this is the right blog but I’m so curious about how you color artwork, like what brushes you use, I really love your style and have thought about taking some inspiration from it
Hi! :D This is fine, I'll reblog it to my art blog so it can be easier to find, no worries.
I'm not the type that uses too many different brushes! I ended up comfortable with just a single brush for most of my work unless the style calls for something else (like soft look of Rain World, which I did a little step by step for here~)
Tumblr media
The main brush I use for just about everything is Design Brush. I use it for sketching, I use it for lineart and I use it to add shadows and highlights! I also like to mess with the backgrounds with it
I got hooked to Real G-pen recently for fun lines and texture! Opaque watercolor is what I use for soft rendering like slugcats~ Gouche is very fun to paint with also because of the texture! I haven't used in awhile tho. Light running ink is what I use for smokey effects, clouds, stuff like that! I love the brush! And uh... the last brush is called *checks the source* Nouchika Square Brush. It's free! It's square! It's new to me! very fun to use!
Details about the steps with Design pencil:
After sketching, I basically just lineart with the same brush in a different layer (or multiple of them, if needed!). Once done, I also duplicate the lineart layer to make the previous a little sharper, since depending on the pressure the brush can be faint or very strong, which will come in handy with colors later!
Single layer VS doubled:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next, for easy color in, I select the areas outside of lineart, invert selection and even shrink it by 1 pixel. Then, I color the new layer bellow lineart flat with one base (in this case, Koromon's pinkish color)
Above it, I hand fill other colors and yes, there are probably easier ways to do that but I am way to used to the hard way XD Note that I rely on this: Hold CTRL and click on base color layer to select everything in that layer, then make a layer and color within that, so I don't cross the border/lines.
Tumblr media
I usually lock layers for the next part but you can also just make a new layer above.
Use gradient tool (with which ever options) and select colors that are slightly shifted in hue and saturation from the base color picked one and toss in a bit of gradient shadow and highlight in each locked color!
Tumblr media
Remember, color picker is your best friend ever to befriend in any art program! it will help you find hues in this gradient you can work with to add to the shape while doing the simple render!
Now, I use the same brush still but I change sizes depending on which area I'm going to go across. Nice part about it is the aforementioned pressure that can apply less or more color depending on how much you press down. I go with the light strokes over first and then stronger ones above! you can get softer shading this way! Same with highlight~ If something feels off somewhere, color pick the nearest hue and stroke the mistake away~ You can do the same if you want to use any present hue in another part of the figure
Tumblr media
after that's done, I then tend to put another layer and select Overlay option on it to add at least a little bit more shadow or highlight (I chose highlight in this case). There is no background for this drawing so I figured it would be nice to add a little bit of cold colors to the warm ones Koromon is made of.
Tumblr media
You can play with other layer options or even edit and color adjustments like tone curve, color balance and brightness/contrast, with any color layer! I do it a lot actually~
You add some extras if you want and you're done~
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is not much to it, so I use this for a simple style commission!

i am already unfathomably attached to the transistor au (sent the same day you first posted the ask), and would love to hear more about how he breaks away from Lucy and the assassins. like, does he still do some Ezio memory diving with Shawn n Becca n Lucy before going AWOL? did Altaïr tell Desmond about Lucy's betrayal or did they figure it out based on Altaïr being suspicious of her and going digging?
does her death spur Becca and Shawn and/or Bill to start looking into Lucy or do they double down on the "she’s our friend and we trust her"?
im loving the stargate/tok'ra vibes of transistor in general, but especially having read stargate brotherhood by the ever-lovely esama. do Desmond and Altaïr like share brainspace or is it more than they just communicate telepathically?
and just for my own visuals, how does Des wear Altaïr’s sword? like at his hip or (stretching believability) on his back? horizontal at his lower back?
(anyways thank you for answering, your ideas are always so wonderful and inspiring and it’s actually kind of a problem when I just want to write something for all of them. but thanks, I hope you and yours are doing well 🧡)
The Transistor AltDes AU for those curious.
He didn’t need to break away from the Assassins because he and Altaïr decided to kill every single red in Abstergo’s Rome facility… which includes Lucy.
They run away afterwards, with the Sword of Altaïr having the properties of a Sword of Eden, including a shockwave that manages to destroy surveillance cameras and other recording devices.
The most they were able to save from the recording are videos of Desmond walking before the sword glows gold and the recording ends.
They don’t necessary thought it was Desmond until they learned that Lucy died by being beheaded. Others died from puncture wounds the size of the Sword of Altaïr in vital points of the body or, strangely enough, by what appears to be something similar to thunder strikes (this is, of course, a capability of the Sword of Eden as seen in AC Unity).
Becca and Shaun definitely believes that Desmond has fallen into the madness of the Bleeding Effect and they’re torn between wanting to save him because they believe it’s not his fault, it’s the Bleeding Effect, but also they can never forgive him for killing Lucy.
Bill is actually the one who believes there’s more to it because he believes that Bleeding as Altaïr wouldn’t have Desmond go on a killing spree. He saw Lucy as an enemy that needs to be cut down and, not only that, he might even believe that Lucy being the only one beheaded among them means something (it does, beheading is a common punishment for traitors that must die for the Levantine Brotherhood and it is also the way Umar Ibn-La'Ahad is executed by the Saracens).
Of course, Bill and Rebecca thinks Bill is doing this because he wants to protect his son (which is also true but Bill is also being logical about this)
Oh man, yeeessss. I love Stargate Brotherhood, mainly because I love Stargate and I love esama’s works hahaha. For this one, I think it would be fun if they believe that they’re just telepathically communicating but the truth is it’s sorta true? They’re communicating telepathically… for now but the more Desmond and Altaïr stay together (aka: they talk telepathically), the more their brains sorta… connect with one another. This is a key to how Altaïr can save Desmond later on as I have written in the reblog of the original ask.
My initial idea is that Desmond actually holds the scabbard on his left hand like Virgil in DMC because the sword itself is a one-handed sword so it would work.
But when he’s trying to go incognito, my first thought was a drawing/blueprint storage tube because I remember Blood the Last Vampire XD
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But then I remember it looks like this:
Tumblr media
And that won’t work because of the wing crossguard of the Sword of Altaïr.
Unless…
the wings can be folded which becomes a clue that the sword can change its form in some ways.
(Thank you! I would absolutely love it for you guys to write these ideas because there’s so many that I can’t do it myself but no pressure. I’m just happy to read your asks, reblogs and replies to any of the ideas I post XD)

Hello everyone! Today, I wanted to talk about my Yandere Wukong meeting Reincarnated Macaque post! (Hope you like the speed paint! :P)
I had a few questions about it, so I thought I’d answer them! ^^
So I was inspired by @lopsushi’s Yandere Wukong! They are amazing, and you should give them a follow! :D
I was very curious about what would’ve happened if Mac ever met Yandere Wukong, and this is what I thought it would be like?? I’m not sure! ^^’
Mac goes by a fight or flight response, and he always goes for flight. Sometimes, he could get so scared, he would freeze up and would not be able to speak or move. Hence, him peacing out and fading out of existence XD. At least, that’s what Mac wishes he could do.
Mac can’t use shadow portals, as they always go comedically wrong. He is clumsy, and can also tumble and fall at times. So being able to disappear is one of Mac’s biggest wishes.
David always hangs around in Mac’s backpack, and he cuddled him when stressed. The thought of David not being with him would mess him up due to how fragile he is.
(Fun fact: Mac used to play house, tea parties, you name it- with David)
As for the process of drawing it- 👀
I actually don’t often use references for posing, and sometimes that hurts me. ^^’
Though I was really happy with how Yandere Wukong turned out! His expression is sinister, and he looks like he has plans. The line art took me the longest actually! I wanted to make a harsh look by making it scratchy, and it paid off really well at the end! I even tried to exclude curves and go for sharper angles. He tries to pull Mac in, and Mac simply just nopes out.
As for the app I use, I use Procreate! It’s an app I’ve been using obsessively for years now, and I still preach it to this day!
Hope you guys like the inside look! Sorry I couldn’t post much, I’ve been working a lot so I’m behind.
I also want to thank you all for the 500 followers! You all are amazing, and I appreciate your support. ^^
Love you all, and have a quacktastic day!💜

Hi! I hope you are doing alright.
When I first entered the Gloryhammer fandom a year ago, I genuiely thought all your art and comics were canon and made for the band, and honestly I'm still flabbergasted it's all fanmade content. So I wanted to know how you feel about all the stories you made, what place they had for you in your life and just in general what they represent for you. I hope this isn't too much of a personal question, all the efforts you put in this is fascinating to me, so I'm just curious about that.
Oh hey there!
First of all, a bit thank you of course. Even though that notion of “thinking it is canon" would probably terrify some particular people xD But I think most do realise it isn't so eventually. I’m indeed just doing it for fun, as a hobby, trying to squeeze it into the free time I have between an actual job :’D
It’s an interesting question though, because the whole thing is naturally important to me, especially given the way I got into it.
I got into Gloryhammer by chance in March 2020 I think, and by May that year I started the first comic. All art from that time is pretty rough since I genuinely had stopped drawing for a year at that point, because I had started a new job and was still very bitter about having to stop doing art full time due to health reasons at the time. But I made room for this. I had the idea for this story line very early on - which I always called my “5 Year ULF plan” (which I’m still almost on-track on. Going to be 6 years now because stuff got added. Like the Powerwolf comic wasn't planned X))
So, getting into Gloryhammer, kind of revitalised my love for doing this stuff. Worldbuilding, making comics, art and stories.
It’s not been a smooth ride all the way, it is unfortunate to know that some people just don’t get that this is genuinely fun. But there are enough people who follow along and appreciate it. We may not be many, Gloryhammer itself is already niche, so ULF only takes another fraction from that, but it’s never been about clout.  (Like, there was this surreal moment when I posted (1) TF2 fan art in between the ULF stuff in late 2022 and it got like 2000 notes - which was like “ah right, it’s really about fandom size xD”)
It IS an enormous amount of work though for sure. But it’s sufficiently varied. I finished the next comic a few weeks back (starting on the 22nd this month!!) And I am right now still in the “I never ever want to draw a comic ever again” phase xD but that will fade over the next months again. In the meanwhile I can focus on writing and other art.
On a more theme related note concerning ULF and what it means to me,
The ULF worldbuilding carries forward a lot of themes and ideas and concepts I had been conceptualising for a long time already. Like ideas about immortality, magic, even the werewolves of Hatir are very closely based on Original content I’ve written before. It also focuses a lot on the idea of characters just not fitting in, or struggling to comply with the status quo in many variations. Which is also a theme that has been running through my stories since forever. There is definitely a lot in ULF that is either important or interesting/fascinating to me personally. (One would assume so I think xD) But at the end of the day, I do it because it's fun to me and I greatly enjoy the result this far.
It’s often very grim and dark - but in the end I always hope to get it to a brighter place. I still plan for a happy end for ULF. So there is hope in that :)
Thank you so much for the question! Answer got a bit rambly x) ❤️

As another way that something can date back to Eggman's childhood, which a lot of other things about him seem to in the games too which I'm super happy about, I like to think he always loved theme parks but it was like never in a totally innocent normal way. He liked theme parks and especially rollercoasters and any other rides that were big, high, fast, and crazy because he thought it was awesome cool and fun for the high action and risk and was very thrilled and passionate about that
But I like to think he just as quickly had a fascination for dangerous and deadly rides because he wanted to know just how extreme, shocking and scary they can get. When he'd learn of horrific accidents in parks he'd think it was epic and funny. XD He was passionate and curious about both, it became his special interest and combined with his genius he easily learned and memorized everything about ones he liked down to exact measurements, speed, how they were created and operated, etc
He started to sketch his own ideas and designs inspired by the exciting ones he could actually ride and enjoy and combine them with things he liked about the canceled scary and dangerous ones and it resulted in his perfect ideal entertaining rides that he dreamed of making a reality, as he would decades later as an adult. He was always so entertained by the idea of things falling apart, exploding, throwing people off, abruptly stopping and plunging people to their doom lol
And he still draws them out today but now as real plans for creations he makes into a reality in his gloriously twisted theme parks and has the exact same entertainment, passion, and amusement in it as he did as a child, nothing changed there and it never gets old to him, he has the same childlike wonder, joy, and cheekiness in it. Well except for how he also knowingly gets very sadistic enjoyment out of it too as his fascination only became more extreme and deranged over time!
I like thinking that combining innocent things with deeply messed up, dangerous, and deadly things was always a fascination of his even as a child, with many other things like carnivals, circuses, casinos, toys, etc too. But theme parks are his favorite because even when innocent and designed for safety, there's still thrill and risk and he gets even more excitement out of making it even more extreme by making it intentionally as dangerous, scary, and messed up as possible.
And that's how you end up with the existence of the glorious sadistic hell on earth that's Eggmanland and Eggman's mindset behind it 🥰💜💕

The weekend passed without much of note. You finally had that doctor’s appointment Monday morning to talk about your back injury. Sure, that resulted in scheduling another appointment on Wednesday for an X-ray (because apparently that couldn’t be done on the same day), but at least you got a doctor’s note saying you shouldn’t be doing any hard manual labor. Now management would have to be careful about what tasks they’re assigning to you. You made a quick stop at the library after the appointment to scan the note into a PDF, emailed that to management, and then drove out to the Pizzaplex.
There was a line out the front doors when you arrived, so you went in through a staff entrance in the loading dock. Then as soon as you left the staff-only tunnels, you found yourself in a crowd of customers. “Holy shit,” you whispered under your breath. The public areas of the Pizzaplex were absolutely crowded!
Well, that made sense, didn’t it? The Glamrocks were finally back. Sure, only half of them, but people loved the band. No wonder everyone was coming here to see Roxanne and Chica’s return.
You were curious about them, too. But not as curious as you might have been before. You’d already spent the whole week with an animatronic, the novelty of how the robotic band members worked had worn off.
Speaking of the animatronic you’d spent all last week with, time to go to Daycare! Better hurry before they started slamming you with tasks.
It took a few extra minutes because of the crowds, but as soon as you entered the Daycare area everyone abruptly cleared out. It was silent except for the bouncy music playing over the intercoms. You walked right up to the wooden doors and pushed your way inside.
“Heeeeello!” Sun popped up from behind one of the play structure’s tubes. He waved and skipped on over. “Welcome back, friend! It’s been so long!”
You laughed. “Hey, Sun. I missed you.”
“You did? I missed you too!” Sun’s rays wiggle. “I’ve been so busy! Look at everything, it’s all cleaned up!”
“Uh... yeah, I’m surprised.” The play area was brighter, all the colors more vivid. The cart of cleaning supplies was sitting by the wall with bottles knocked over and splashes of dirty water around the wheels. “Uh... you remember I said you didn’t have to clean the whole time, right?”
“I do, but...” Sun tapped his fingers together. “O-once I started going I couldn’t stop! Couldn’t stop until alllll the supplies were used up!”
“Hmm...” You frowned. “Well, I guess you probably have like... programming or something. But, uh... still. You could’ve taken breaks or something.”
“I couldn’t, I really couldn’t! Clean up, clean up.” Despite the cheerful little chant, you could have sworn there was a nervous edge to Sun’s voice. But before you could think about it that much, Sun moves on. “Oh! But I didn’t forget about what you said. You wanted to see some drawings, right? Here, over here!” He hurried over to the desk and picked up a few pieces of paper, holding them out to you.
“Oh cool! Did you have fun?” You followed him and took the offered papers, flipping through them. They looked more like kids’ drawings than anything else, with shaky lines and scribbled colors. Most of them featured the Glamrocks and other Fazbear-related things, but one of them was different. “Hang on, is this me?”
“I hope you don’t mind!” Sun said hurriedly. “But you drew such a nice picture of me that I wanted to return the favor. I know it’s not as good as yours, but here it is!”
“Awww.” You smiled. “It’s fantastic, Sunny boy. I like how you drew my hair. And all of these have such great colors!”
“Really? I-I snapped a few crayons so I thought I was pressing too hard.”
“Oof. Yeah, be careful with that. You’re a whole-as—you’re all mechanical and stuff, you’d be a lot stronger than us fleshy guys. But there’s nothing wrong with pressing hard to get those bright colors. I used to do that, too.”
Sun clapped his hands. “I’m so glad you’re happy, friend! I suppose it was a bit fun. Here, you can keep them if you want!”
You shook your head. “No, I couldn’t do that.”
“Oh really, I don’t mind!”
“...Alright. How about I keep the one of me and you can have the rest of them?” You separated that from the stack and put the remaining ones on the desk.
“Hmmm, okay! That’s fair!” Sun fidgeted with the stack on the desk, making sure the edges of the papers were all lined up.
“Great.” You carefully slid Sun’s drawing into your backpack. “Hey, I noticed you drew the Glamrocks. Did you know Chica and Roxanne are back?”
Sun’s face rotated, confused. “Back?”
“Oh! Right, you wouldn’t know! Something happened to the Glamrocks, like... a while ago. The Pizzaplex was closed for about a month. No one really knows what happened, but uh, at least Chica and Roxanne are back again.”
“Are they okay?” Sun asked.
“I don’t know, I haven’t seen them yet,” you admitted. “Did you... know the Glamrocks?”
“Well, not too well, but we used to sometimes take the kids out for trips into the rest of the Pizzaplex!” Sun said. “They would visit the band sometimes! So sometimes we would see them. I-I don’t think think they would remember me, though.”
“Hmm. So you guys are just, like, coworkers and not friends. That makes se—”
Ping! “New task added!”
“God da—!” You cut yourself off with a scowl and looked at your FazWatch. Two new tasks had been added. Cleaning up a mess in Chica’s Cupcake Factory, and rescrewing some vent covers that had fallen off. You sighed. “I’m so sorry, Sun.”
“It’s not a problem! You have to do your job.” Sun nodded understandingly.
“Yeah. But I’ll see you again today, I promise.” You smiled.
“Okay! I’ll look forward to it! Can you take the cleaning cart out with you? It’s been taking up space ever since I used everything up.”
“No problem, man.”
After quickly dropping off the cart of used supplies at the nearest janitorial closet—probably not where you should put it, but you were in a rush—you headed off to take care of the tasks.
The new crowds in the Pizzaplex meant you were forced to take the utility tunnels most of the time, which resulted in you getting turned around more than once. Stupid winding underground hallways. The more time you spent getting lost, the more tasks appeared on the FazWatch. At least you were getting used to the stuff they had you do here. A lot of cleaning, some maintenance, moving things around. Not too difficult. The most difficult task proved to be putting on the vent covers again, since some of them were in high, difficult-to-reach places.
It was a bit strange, actually. There was no sign of wear or anything on the vents or the screws holding them in place. Why did they fall off? They looked fine to you. But then again, you didn’t know anything about vents. Were they usually this big? A person could easily crawl inside.
Finally, everything was done. You headed back to the surface and were just about to leave the staff-only areas when—
Ping! “New task added!”
“Oh for fuck’s sake!” you shouted.
Something clattered behind you. You spun around and saw a familiar face. It was that blonde kid from last week. Jeremy. Apparently he knocked over a trash bin, sending it crashing into three other identical trash bins lined up next to it. “Oh sorry!” he said. “You just—I was coming to say hi. Did I bother you?”
“No, no, don’t worry.” You walked over and helped him right the fallen bins. They were all colored to look like Roxanne Wolf. “Jeremy, right?”
“Yeah. And you are, uh...” He paused. “Sorry, I’m not good with names.”
“It’s fine.” You told him your name again. “And don’t worry about me shouting, I’m just frustrated with this thing.” You checked the FazWatch. “All these constant tasks.”
“Yeah, they never stop, huh?” Jeremy laughed nervously. “I, uh... this is my first job, is this normal?”
“Depends on where you work. But yeah. It’s just annoying when you have something you want to do.” You sighed.
“Oh! Did you want to go see the show?” Jeremy asked.
“The huh?”
“The show’s starting soon!” Jeremy’s eyes lit up. “I haven’t gotten to catch one yet! It won’t be the whole band but I bet it’ll be awesome anyway!”
“Oh. Showtime.” You paused, reading the new task. Cleaning up some tools in Parts and Service. That could wait, right? You were a bit curious. “Y’know what? Let’s check it out together.”
“Awesome!” Jeremy jumped at the chance. “Come on, I know how to get to the stage from here.”
Showtime happened five times a day on the stage in the atrium. You wondered if every time slot was this popular, because the massive atrium floor was absolutely packed with people. Most of them families, and most of those families with little girls; clearly, little boys weren’t as interested in a show with only Chica and Roxanne.
“Who’s your favorite?” Jeremy asked you as the two of you stood at the very back of the room. “When I was little I loved Foxy, but they don’t have him here anymore, so I guess Monty’s my new favorite. He’s cool.”
“Really? Uh... I never really thought about it,” you said. “I guess... Freddy or Bonnie, maybe?” Honestly, you were never really drawn to one animatronic in particular. Until you stumbled into the Daycare, that is. Did Sun and Moon count?
“Oh that makes sense.” Jeremy nodded.
You raised an eyebrow. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“I dunno, they’re just... the classics. Older people tend to like the older characters.”
“I’m only like, eight or nine years older than you.”
“Yeah? That’s a whole decade.”
You laughed.
The atrium lights dimmed. The distant stage was lit up with pink, purple, and white spotlights. The crowd cheered in excitement. You saw a little girl in pigtails climb on a bench to try to see over the adults in front of her, showing enthusiasm that clearly wasn’t matched by the brown-haired boy next to her. Then, rising up from the ground, you saw the silhouettes of two tall figures. TV screens on either side of the stage showed a close-up for the people in the back: Chica and Roxanne, waving at the crowd. Everyone cheered.
“God, I wish we could get closer,” Jeremy said. “We should be able to, cause we work here and everything.”
“Well, I mean, I’m technically a technician, so maybe I can see them really up close some time,” you said.
“Really?! Cool!” Jeremy smiled. “Hey, if you ever get the chance, could you—this is gonna sound stupid, but, introduce me? Sometime?”
You smiled back. “Sure, I can try and do that.”
“Awesome.”
The show was short. Chica and Roxanne only preformed a couple songs, possibly limited by just the two of them. But it was fun. Like a mini concert. You didn’t know Chica could sing; Freddy had always been advertised as the lead. And the two of them moved so fluidly, like they weren’t robots at all but actually alive. Or maybe any mistakes were hidden by the fog and flashing lights.
The show ended with Chica grabbing the microphone and announcing, “Thank you all for coming! Roxy and I will be in Rockstar Row until our next performance!”
“Stop on by to say hi,” Roxanne added. “We might even hand out autographs!”
And then the stage they were standing on lowered, taking them out of sight. The Pizzaplex announcer said, “Thank you for attending the Fazbear and Friends Glamrock Show. Come back at 9:00 for our next one!”
“That was so cool, right?!” Jeremy said, looking at you and grinning.
“Yeah, really cool. Wonder what it’d be like with all of them.” You checked your FazWatch. “Ah, shit, I still have to do that one task before I can take my break. How do I get to Parts and Service from here, again?"
"I hear the stage elevator leads down there, so if you're brave enough you could jump on up there,” Jeremy said jokingly.
“Ha ha. I’ll figure it out. Hey, thanks for suggesting this. See you around?”
“Uh, yeah, sure!”
“Great.” You smiled at him. “See you later.” And you broke into a run.
Luckily you found your way down there quickly. But Parts and Service wasn’t as empty as you expected. The moment you walked in, you noticed activity in the big glass cylinder in the middle of the room. “What the...?” you whispered. You slowly walked forward and peered through the glass. Inside was a woman you recognized as Pamela, the head technician. She was bending over an exoskeleton laid out on the table/chair thing in the middle of the cylinder. There was no plating on the exoskeleton, but there was a bright red mohawk and a row of sharp teeth. “Jeez,” you muttered. Montgomery Gator had looked better. “Alligators. Can they kill your children? ... Yes.”
A few seconds passed while you tried to figure out what Pamela was doing. Then she straightened up and immediately saw you standing there. You started a bit, feeling strangely guilty, then gave her a wave and a nervous smile.
Pamela nodded once. It was hard to read her expression. Hopefully she wasn’t freaked out by you watching.
The door to the glass cylinder slid upwards and Pamela walked out. You immediately started talking. “Sorry, uh—I came down here to sort some stuff and I saw you and I wondered what you were doing—is that Monty? He looks weird without the, uh, shell thing—”
“Yeah, I’ve been finishing up his repairs,” Pamela said. “You’re new. Have you heard what happened to the Glamrocks?”
“Uh... no.”
“You’re on the same page as everyone else, then.” Pamela walked over to the computer by the cylinder and clicked something on the screen. “The day shift left one evening, then came back and found them all wrecked and the security footage gone.”
“Oh. That’s... that’s weird.” Really weird. “Wrecked like... smashed up?”
“Yep. No one knows what happened.”
“Maybe... someone broke in to destroy them?” You speculated. There were enough people out there who hated Fazbear Entertainment. Surely one of them would be crazy enough to do that.
Pamela shrugged. “No idea. What are you sorting?”
“Huh? Oh, right.” Your task. “Apparently there were a lot of tools in disarray...” You glanced around. There was no obvious mess in sight.
“Oh those.” Pamela nodded. “I took care of those before I started on Monty for the day.”
“Really?” When had she had time to do that? Well... you had delayed for a bit watching the show. You felt a bit bad for putting it off now. “Uh, sorry for leaving that for you. I-I’m still getting used to the layout of this place—”
“You probably wouldn’t have known where to put them anyway,” Pamela dismissed.
Your shoulders tensed defensively. She was right. But she didn’t have to say it like that.
“Want to see where it’s all kept?” Pamela asked.
“Oh, uh... no thanks, I wouldn’t take up any more of your time.”
“It’s fine. I’m almost done with this guy, anyway.” Pamela gestured back at Monty in the cylinder.
“Well, I, uh...” You checked your FazWatch. There were no new tasks after the sorting one. “I, uh, actually have more stuff to do.”
“Where?”
“Uh—in the daycare.” You were so surprised by Pamela’s unexpected ask that you said the first spot that came into your mind. And honestly, it wasn’t wrong. You did have stuff to do in the daycare. They just weren’t Faz-tasks.
Pamela raised her eyebrow. “In the daycare? That place has been closed for months. No one even uses the theatre or party rooms anymore.”
Shit. “Yeah, well, uh—doesn’t mean there aren’t problems!” You laugh nervously. “Like, uh, that animatronic in there. There’s probably a ton of problems with him, being all stuck in there.” Stop talking stop talking stop talking—
“Wait, you mean the Daycare Attendant?” For once, Pamela’s neutral expression broke into surprise. “They’re still up and running?”
“Uh... y-yeah.” You were also surprised. “They’ve... been active this whole time. Shouldn’t you know that? As the head animatronic technician?”
“I’m fairly new to the job, to be honest,” Pamela said. She ran a hand through her dark, curly hair. “I was working here while the Daycare was open, but I assumed that they’d shut down the Attendant when it closed. Maybe even scrapped them. Shit. You’re right, they probably have a lot of problems if they’ve been active this whole time. Hang on. I can help. Give me a moment.” She walked over to one of the rooms along the edge of the main Parts and Service hub.
“Oh. Well...” You wanted to say ‘that’s probably not a good idea, Sun has anxiety issues that probably wouldn’t be helped by the head technician appearing, and Moon is still a wildcard who might attack you.’ But what you actually said was “Yeah. Sure, come on.”
“Great.” Pamela ducked inside the room, then reappeared with a red duffel bag slung over her shoulder. She shoved a weird two-pronged tool into the bag and zipped it up. “You lead the way.”
The walk to the Daycare was awkward. You couldn’t really think of anything to say so you didn’t say anything. Pamela didn’t start a conversation, either. But you couldn’t help but feel you should be talking. If not to make small talk with your boss—she’s your boss, right?—then to explain what’s been going on with Sun and Moon. At least let her know about your quest to reopen the Daycare. But how the hell are you supposed to say that?! ‘Hey I know that kids were hurt and went missing in the daycare but I want to make it so they can go in again because I’m emotionally attached to the Daycare Attendant’? That sounded insane.
Eventually, you arrived. “Hey, um...” you said, finally finding your voice. “Do you mind if I head in first and tell S—the Daycare Attendant that you’re coming?”
“Sure.” Pamela nodded. “Going to slide in?” She pointed at the ‘Slide Into Fun!’ sign.
“Wha—no, of course not!” Though you still wanted to try that sometime. “We’ll just... walk down to the doors.”
You quickly walked down the stairs, Pamela behind you, and up to the big wooden doors. Pamela hung back as you pushed open one of them and ducked into the play area.
“Welcome back, friend!” Sun was straightening the barrels again, but he jumped up as soon as he saw you. “They really keep you busy, don’t they?”
“They really do.” You sighed. “Uh, Sun. So. I ran into someone, and I-I might have mentioned I was going to the daycare, and... well, someone else is coming. Is that okay?”
“Oh! Yes, of course, I’d love to meet another new friend!” Sun visibly perked up. He practically ran over to the door and skidded to a halt, bouncing with excitement. “Who is it? Are they going to help us?”
“Um... maybe. I-it’s the head technician.”
Sun instantly froze. “It is?”
“Y-yeah, I... mentioned you and how you’ve been, uh... active this whole time, and how that might mean, uh... problems. With...” You gestured vaguely at him. “...with your body. Like, joints and stuff. So—”
You were interrupted by the sound of the wooden doors opening. Spinning around, you saw Pamela shoving her way inside. “Heavy, huh?” she grunted. “Don’t think a kid could open these. Seems a bit stupid for a daycare.”
“Pamela! Hi!” You gave her a little wave. “Uh, so—this is Sun. I mean, you said you knew about him, but this is him. Sun, this is Pamela.”
“Hey.” Pamela walked over to the desk, letting the door close on its own.
You glanced at Sun. He wasn’t saying anything, staring at Pamela. Then he started. “Oh! You’re new!” he said. “Hello, friend! Welcome to the Superstar Daycare!” He gave a big, sweeping wave over his head.
“Hey. Thanks.” Pamela nodded. She cleared a spot on the desk, pushing aside the random stuff on top, and set her duffel bag down on top of it. “I saw you around before. But you looked different.”
“O-oh, really?” Sun dropped his hand. “Well, I’m not the only Daycare Attendant! There’s also... Moon.”
“Yeah, them. Or... him?” Pamela looked at you as she unzipped her bag. “You used ‘him’, right?”
“Uh, yeah, they’re both ‘him’s,” you said, a bit surprised at Pamela asking. You weren’t expecting her to clarify Sun and Moon’s pronouns. “They, uh... they share the same body, but when it’s light, it’s Sun, and when it’s dark, it’s Moon.”
“Really?” Pamela tilted her head, curious. “Two AIs in one body. With a light trigger. That has to be hard to code.” She glanced at Sun, giving him a quick once-over, then looked down and took something out of her bag. You recognized it as a laptop case. “Impressive.”
“Oh.Th-thank you?” Sun sounded a bit uncertain. He probably wasn’t sure how to reply. You reach over and grab his hand supportively. His head turned to look at you, and then he gently clasped your hand as well.
"You mind if I ask you some questions, Sun?" Pamela said. She unzipped her laptop case and took out the computer inside. It was unusually colored: pink and white with a big bow decal on the back.
“Yes of course! I mean, no! I-! mean, I don’t mind at all! Ask away.” Sun gave a little laugh. He was once again swaying slightly on his feet.
“Great.” Pamela looked down at her computer screen, typing and clicking. “You’ve been here in the daycare the whole time?”
“Yep! But... Moon’s able to go out and about. The roaming protocols were restricted for me, but not for him.”
“How have you not run out of charge?”
Sun paused. “W-well, there’s a charging cable in our room that I use. I always use it! Always. Always. Just in case someone shows up!” There was a manic hint in Sun’s voice that worried you. You squeezed his hand, wondering if he would even feel that. He did, and he gave a slight—very slight—squeeze back.
“Hmm.” Pamela nodded. “Have you been especially active while you’re in here?”
“Sometimes! More now that my new friend’s been checking in on me!”
Oh shit that was you. You stiffened a bit as Pamela turned her attention to you. “I mean—I-I’ve been coming in... occasionally...” you said. “To... see how things are going.” You noticed Sun’s face rotate, as if confused. But he didn’t say anything.
“Hmm. That explains why you knew the Attendant was still active.” Pamela looked back at the computer screen. “Sun, have you had any trouble? Stiff movement, broken parts? Software errors?”
Sun hesitated. He looked at you, as if silently asking permission. You thought about it, then shrugged, unsure if Pamela should know about Moon’s possible glitch. Sun looked back at Pamela. “Nope! I’ve been having no issues! None at all! Perfectly functional!” That might have been a bit of an overcorrection. “N-no need to check anything!” That was definitely an overcorrection.
"Calm down, Sun," you whispered.
"Right, right, sorry!" he whisper-shouted back.
"Don’t apologize, nothing was wrong, it’s just—”
“I can hear you, you know,” Pamela interrupted.
Both you and Sun stiffened. “Uh, sorry!” you said. “We weren’t ignoring you or anything—”
“It’s fine, I’m checking some information, anyway,” Pamela said. “Old stuff. Schematics. Shit, this file is dense.”
“No swearing in the daycare, new friend!” Sun said automatically.
You were more concerned with something else. “Wait, you’re looking at Sun’s blueprints?”
“Well I’m not exactly familiar with his design,” Pamela said. “It’s pretty different from the Glamrocks I’m used to. There’s some coding data here, too, but it’s way too much for me to look at right now. Not to mention everything else in this file. Really big ‘Incidents’ section.”
You looked at Sun, trying to gauge his reaction. It’s hard to read with his never-changing expression. But he was holding your hand pretty tight. Not tight enough to hurt, but it’s definitely noticeable. “Uh, let’s focus on one thing at a time,” you said.
“Right.” Pamela nodded. “I’ll trust what you say, Sun.”
“You will?!” Sun sounded surprised. He hurried to cover it up. “Well thank you, new friend! It’s always good to trust each other!”
“Not always,” Pamela muttered darkly. You almost couldn’t hear her. But she, too, quickly moved on to cover it up. “There’s just one thing I want to check. I want to see what happens when you switch into night mode. Then ask Moon some questions, since he has different features that might need maintenance.”
Silence. “You... want to see Moon?” Sun asked. His posture was stiff, worried.
“Yeah.”
“Um...” You raised a hand to get attention. “Moon is... Moon’s kind of... unpredictable. He, uh—”
“Yeah, I know the basics,” Pamela said. “Don’t worry. There’s a note here that the Daycare Attendant can’t roam behind the security desk in the daycare. I don’t think that’s changed.”
You look at Sun. “Is that true?”
“That’s very true, friend!” Sun agreed. He relaxed. “I-it will probably be fine if you and Ms. Brooks stay behind there. Besides, that’s where the lights are.”
“Oh. Okay. So... are you good with going lights-off right now, then?” you asked. “It’s okay if you’re not. Pamela can come back some other time.”
“No no, it will be fine.” Sun put his hands on his shoulders and turned you so you were facing the light controls. “Go ahead! J-just remember to turn the lights on again soon! The lights are supposed to be on during daytime.”
“I remember, Sun.” You turned back and gave him a smile and a thumbs-up. “I’ll turn them on really quick. It’ll be alright. Don’t worry.”
“I-I won’t.”
You walked towards the light controls, leaving Sun standing there, fidgeting again. “On three,” you said to him and Pamela. “One... two... three!” And you hit the button.
The darkness was instant. You hurried over to the desk, where Pamela’s laptop screen was now the only source of light in the daycare. With its glow and the light coming in through the glass around the play area, you could see the transformation starting. It wasn’t as... intense as the last one you saw. Probably because Sun wasn’t screaming. But the mechanical noises and jittering animatronic limbs was still upsetting to see. Sun fell over right as you reached Pamela’s side. And didn’t stand up again.
“Hello?” you called.
A blue-and-white hand grabbed the edge of the desk. Then another. And then Moon’s face slowly rose over the edge. “Naughty naughty,” he said. “Not naptime yet.”
“You don’t sound too upset at that,” you said casually.
Moon chuckled. In one smooth motion he jumped onto the edge of the desk, crouching on its surface. His red eyes landed on you, but then he quickly noticed Pamela and turned to stare at her. Was it just your imagination, or did you notice Moon tense up?
“So you’re Moon.” Pamela was shockingly calm given that a giant animatronic with freaky red eyes was only a foot away from her face. “I’m Pamela. I’m the head technician here. Your friend—” Her head jerked towards you “—told me that you and Sun were still active, which I didn’t know.”
Moon’s face swiveled over to you. “You told?”
“No!” You raised your hands defensively. “I just—mentioned I was going to the Daycare and—and things just sort of spiraled from there.” You glanced at Pamela. “Not that I was going to keep them a secret from you or anything—"
“It’s fine,” Pamela said, doing stuff with her laptop. You glanced at the screen and saw dense text paired up with a drawing of the Daycare Attendant’s inner workings. “I’m just here to check that everything’s still functioning with you. Is it?”
Moon didn’t answer. But he did return to looking at Pamela instead of you, which was relieving. He leaned forward, inching his face closer to hers. Pamela, to her credit, didn’t flinch.
“You know, I don’t think... Moon talks a lot,” you said haltingly.
“That’s fine. I work with the DJ sometimes, he doesn’t talk at all. I can work with this.” Pamela clicked to a different page on her laptop. “Sun said that he didn’t notice any problems. So it’s probably okay. But it says here that the two of them have different features and protocols, so there’s always a chance something’s gone wrong with their individual systems. I’d like to know if that’s the case, Moon.”
Moon’s head twitched. “All fine.”
Bullshit.
“Alright, then.” Pamela nodded. “It’s always good to run a check-up anyway, so if you two ever want to come down to Parts and Service—"
Moon leaned even closer to her. “All. Fine.” His voice was a low growl.
Pamela finally reacted, but only to lean backwards. “If you say so. In that case, there’s nothing more for me to do right now.” She shut her laptop and looked at you. “I don’t want to get in the way of whatever you were doing here. You can handle it, right?”
“Uhhh yeah.” You glanced at Moon. “I can take care of myself.”
“Great.” She put her laptop back into the case, and put that back in her duffel bag. “I’ll leave you here.” And she promptly walked away. Pamela wasn’t much for small talk, was she?
With Pamela now leaving, Moon turned his attention to you. He leaned closer. Unlike Pamela, you weren’t confident enough to stay in place while that happened, and took a couple steps backwards. “You told,” Moon said.
“I didn’t mean to,” you insisted. “She just started asking questions and I-I panicked. And I can’t tell her to not do something, she’s, like, technically in charge of me, so when she invited herself along—Why do you care, anyway?” You folded your arms. “Is it because you don’t want anyone knowing what the hell your deal is?”
“No swearing in the daycare,” Moon said.
“You do that, too? Well, I guess it must be in your programming or whatever.” You sighed. “Look. I’m not gonna tell Pamela anything you don’t want her to know. But she is the head technician. It might be good to have her on our side. Why are you so—so—weird about what’s happening?”
Moon’s face rotated. You could have sworn he looked thoughtful. “Naughty kids must be punished.”
“Okay. What does that mean in this context?”
Before Moon could say anything else, the lights in the Daycare all turned on again. “No!” He jerked backwards, falling off his perch on the desk. “No more lights! No more naps!” Mechanical clacking sounds filled the air. Moon slammed his head against the side of the desk, dislodging everything as he growled and struggled. And then everything stopped.
“Moon? Sun?” You leaned over the desk and saw Sun lying on the floor on his back. “Are you okay?”
Sun was quiet for a moment. Then he gave you a thumbs-up. “I’m in tip-top shape, friend!” he said in an overly-cheerful tone.
“Hah. Right.” You turned back around to look at the light switch. Pamela was standing there with her hand on the button. “Uh—Pamela, I—maybe you should warn us next time?”
“Sorry.” Her hand dropped to her side. “I didn’t think it would be that... difficult.”
Sun popped up. “Oh, it’s quite alright! All good here!”
“Right.” Pamela nodded slowly. “Hey, actually. You.” She looked at you. “Can I talk to you for a second? Out here?”
“Uhhh... ssssure.” You gave Sun an apologetic glance and made your way over. “This’ll only take a second.”
“Oh. Okay! Of course. Be back soon!”
“Definitely.” You waved, and then followed Pamela out through the big wooden doors. They closed solidly behind you.
Pamela paused for a moment, staring at the doors. Then nodded and looked at you. “So something’s definitely wrong with them.”
Your stomach dropped. “What? What do you mean?” you asked, trying to sound casual about it.
“Well first of all, no animatronics should be making those clacking and rattling sounds when they move,” Pamela said. “They’re designed to be quiet. But that’s probably just due to a lack of cleaning and proper maintenance. The light trigger is what really worries me. It shouldn’t be that... that...” She paused. “It should be a lot smoother.”
“W-well, uh, they’ve been transforming like that the, uh... the whole time I’ve seen them,” you said slowly.
“Hmm.” Pamela pressed her lips together. “I’m just saying. I don’t know if they’re aware of it, since they both said everything was fine, but something’s probably gone wrong with the software or the actual physical mechanisms. I could issue a Service Ticket for them. But I don’t like to do that unless everyone’s on the same page.” She jerked her head back to the doors. “I don’t really care what you do in there with them. But if you could, at any point, convince them to come down for some simple maintenance, that would be great.”
“Uh...” You weren’t sure how to respond to this. “Yeah. I can... I’ll try.”
“Great.” Pamela nodded. “I’ll see you around.” She spun around and left.
“Uh—see you!” you shouted after her. You watched her walk up the staircase and disappear, then you turned around to look back at the play area entrance. A moment passed. Then you sighed and headed back in.
“Is everything okay, friend?” Sun was waiting right outside the doors. “Are you in trouble? Are we in trouble?!”
“Everything’s fine, don’t worry,” you reassured him.
“Oh good!” Sun’s shoulders slumped in relief. “What was that all about, then?”
“Uh... I’ll tell you later,” you said slowly. “For now,” you tapped your FazWatch, “I’m finally on break, so this can’t drag me away. Is there anything you want to do?”
“Oh there’s so much!” Sun gasped. “We can keep fixing things up around here, but no, you probably don’t want to work on your break, do you, friend? We can play a game! I need to practice for playtime again! Oh, no, wait! You should eat something! You’ve been working so hard, you should have something nice while you have a chance.”
“Right, right.” You nodded. “I did pack a lunch. Almost forgot about it.”
“Never forget to eat, friend! Food is the fuel to keep you going!”
You laughed. “Is that a line you used on the kids?”
“Sometimes, but it’s true!”
“It really is.” You set your backpack on the desk, opening it up and rummaging around inside—being careful not to fold Sun’s drawing from earlier. “I’ll eat and we can talk, then once my break is over we’ll see if I have any new tasks.”
“Sounds good to me!” Sun said.
Unfortunately, the tasks did draw you away again after your break, but at least you had fifteen minutes of peace. Sun seemed eager to forget about what just happened with Pamela so he encouraged you to talk about whatever was on your mind. Which was mostly video games. Afterwards, you headed back into the Pizzaplex, where you stayed busy until it was time to go home.
You didn’t forget about what Pamela said about maintenance. She was right; Sun and Moon needed to have someone look at them. They’d been left alone for so long that they probably had a ton of problems, even if they functioned fine. But neither of them wanted it. Moon didn’t like talking about his problems in the first place, and Sun... well, he might go along with your suggestion, but he was clearly anxious about the whole thing. Was he afraid? Were they both afraid? Of what? Maybe... of what the check-up would find?
It was hard to figure out. But you would tell them about Pamela’s suggestion soon. Maybe some maintenance would help them both.

LONG UPDATE - SORRY
Hello tumblr, my old friends.... I’m so sorry I keep saying I’m going to be active again, only to disappear after a few posts! It’s been well over a year since I last shared anything! I deeply regret failing to reply to so many messages, and I apologize if I’ve left some artistic obligations unfulfilled (please feel free to let me know if I owe you a drawing).
I'll avoid ranting too much about other things and just admit to this – I’m struggling to draw “for fun” again! I put so much creative energy into a studio job which is frequently burning me out, and even making art to sell at local conventions has felt stressful and dispassionate. I'm grateful I've gained these opportunities but am questioning my goals... My work/life balance is definitely a mess...
Less and less am I caring about getting my real name out to the masses in public or on social media – honestly, I miss partaking in fandom like I used to do! Drawing silly and perverted things for fellow fans of my favourite shows to squee about, lol. I’m just... slowly taking steps to have more free time to do so...
So, SOOOO... I still adore Merthur, and Stucky, and 00Q! But I must credit something new for pushing me toward being here again. I watched “The Sandman” on Netflix and then read a ridiculous amount of fanfic while home sick one day... and now I’m obsessed with the pairing of Dream and Hob Gadling! Another scrawny, dark-haired, magical immortal to be my muse, haha... I’m curious if any of my followers can relate? I’m hoping there’s a community here for it. If not, I was considering starting anew and giving “Pillowfort” a try? I guess I’d be allowed more naughtiness there, too... ;)
Well, if anyone I know is on Pillowfort, feel free to follow me and I will follow back! I have the same handle although it’s a very empty account atm. Not promising to be active very soon but I’m definitely feeling a spark of whimsycatching again. ♡
Much love to my followers, old and new. Hope I can bring some joy with my art again! I have to study how tumblr works these days, haha... what the heck is "Blaze"!? XD
TLDR: RL sucks but I really want to draw Dream and Hob Gadling flirting/loving/courting/fcking ... so this account might come back to life! XOXO

15 people, 15 questions
Got tagged by @xagan (you're amazing and I already knew it but what is Lima Lama?!) and @istilldontunderstand (all hail being jack of all interests and useless to capitalism! very relatable) and @non-binarypal7 (didn't know you eanted to do environmental activism! That's so cool)
1. Are you named after anyone?
No, I have one of the most typical names in my country. But it's good that every person has several nicknames here, I have more than 15! 😆 And I love my name because it's unisex.
2. When was the last time you cried?
I don't usually cry in life beside RSD triggers so I allow myself to feel things while watching movies and reading fanfics... Probably shed a tear recently during 5th episode of Twins (hello to exhausted, overworked and underappreciated Sprite)). Honestly, some good angst fics do make me cry, I love angst fics and catharsis.
3. Do you have kids?
No, and I'm not good with them until they are the age where I can teach them many hella cool nerdy things. But I'm learning now with my sister's toddler, I'm out of my comfort zone but she says he likes me already so I win xD I can definitely see myself as a good mentor to kids/teens later but parent? Probably a bad one.
4. What sports do you play/have you played?
I have ADHD so I have tried swimming, martial arts, ballet and gymnastics. I was kicked out of 2 of those xD But I do love table tennis, like volleyball and I was acrobatic cheerleader for a few years!
5. Do you use sarcasm?
Yeah, I love using it in a very playful manner among friends - which is not a typical thing, as I know. On the other hand, when I get angry or someone hurts/attacks me, I actually turn to a very cold, official and diligently spelled out style. Hurt my feelings? I am writing you a letter aka A.Burr :D
6. What’s the first thing you notice about people?
Their vibes! I might not remember how they look or what's their name later, but I'm definitely noticing and reading you through vibes. Same with discords, most likely.
7. What’s your eye color?
Grayish blue. I get told that I have really nice eyes (even strangers in foreign countries keep telling me that for some reason unprompted). My friends, tho, say I have drugged eyes with large pupils so i guess, that's compliment too xD
8. Scary movies or happy endings?
Horror movies are porn substitution, and I'm ace so the answer is obvious. Deserved happy ends are good!
9. Any talents?
Hmmm being always curious and hence, learning many new awesome skills? It's something I always encourage others to do, too.
10. Where were you born?
Russia unfortunately or fortunately? i'm still figuring it out
11. What are your hobbies
Creating media+tech things (ranging from IG filters to making my own mini games), translating (Russian, English, Korean and currently learning Thai), drawing fanarts (one day hopefully webtoons...), writing fics (currently learning nice storytelling in English)
12. Do you have any pets?
Yes, a very fluffy black-white Cheshire Cat. He's as mischievous as you can guess ^W^
13. How tall are you?
1.65
14. Favorite subject in school?
Informatics, Arts, sitting in school library and reading everything after classes
15. Dream job?
I have a bucket list of all skills/professions that I want to try, and I've currently crossed off most of them, except for gamedev. I ever wrote articles about K-pop and Thai BLs professionally!
I keep changing jobs every year oops but I still manage to be not bad at them. I think I can suit some place that needs brainstorming, making art and coding together! But it's a career that I'm trying to kickstart now Тт For now I'm a bit too busy with returning to Korea...Hopefully, one day I'll stop getting bored of jobs ^^'
That was fun, thank you guys! Not tagging anyone to save from pressure but you can tag me to read through yours or tag yourself with my blessing :]

PROGRESS POST
(10/4/23)
This is partly for accountability and partly just to get all this out of my head! This last month or two have felt so hectic, getting used to a new work and sleep schedule and all. I'm still not quite there.
If you're curious about what I've been working on and what my plans are in terms of writing and art for the rest of the year, read on. :)
I will say, though, that if you want more of a specific AU or story, the way to get it is by asking questions and leaving comments! Asks and comments remind me about things I'm doing and get me excited about them again! I have these plans, but I also am very good at chasing inspiration to unknown (and sometimes unimportant) corners!
By Fandom
Linked Universe Projects
I've been feeling less motivated to work on LU stuff, but I still plan on at least finishing what I have open, so you can look forward to some of that!
Writing
Disability AU—one small mobility trio fic in the works. A few vague ideas for doing backstory fics.
Council (1931 vampire AU)—this is still the "backburner to backburner" fic, but I do have some fun ideas. I just have been distracted with other things! I think this AU is a lot of fun and I'd love to do more with it. We'll have to see.
The Marvelous Misadventures of Wind and His Merry Band of Maybe-Human Misfits—chapter 7 (out of 9 or so) is in progress. I have it all outlined out, and it's fun to work on, but I have (again) been distracted! This is, I hope, going to be my main December project. It'd be nice to finish before it turns 2 years old next summer. Oops.
I have several other WIPs that aren't very exciting and probably won't see daylight, but they're there if I feel like them
Art
Coloring book—I'm part of the coloring book project! :) I have already finished 1/2 drawings, and they went so well, I'm considering doing more.
Shatterproof manga page—still on my radar! I'm doing the end scene from dazzling diamond danger, and my ambition keeps outgrowing my time.
Four Swords Projects
Writing
Fairytale AU—man I've started this Vidow BatB fic literally five times. I have an almost-complete draft sitting at like... 20k?? iirc, but I kind of hate a lot of it. I also like a lot of it. It's a bit difficult for me to work on rewriting something in that situation. Anyway. Another December thing probably.
Fright Fight—I have ideas for every week, but am currently unsure if I want to draw or write for them. Most of my October will be focused on filling these prompts!
Vampire Lords AU—I have strange as severe is this my fate open right now, with a fair amount of material... it just needs to be edited a bit. I do want to keep working on that, I've just... well. Distraction. A common theme. XD I might be feeling another little bite fic coming on, too.
Art
Fright Fight—see above
Fright Fight part 2—I have a few side things to do for this, like making graphics that I haven't quite finished yet. They shouldn't take long, I just gotta do em!
Non-Fandom
Stickers—I am in the process of drawing some stickers! Yay! These are for my work, but also just for me. I want some Halloween stickers. This is a backburner project.
Nanowrimo project—I need to spend some time figuring out a few things to really get going on my princess-verse. I'm going to be doing Nanolympics this year, so hopefully some of their preptober stuff will help!
Hearts Linked Together—my super-cool Linkverse. XD I love my dumb timeline, and all the characters, they're just filler drawings that I haven't had time to continue.
Secret Zelda project—I really really need to do this! I can't say much right now, but it involves a fair amount of work, both writing and art. I think I haven't gotten very far on it yet because I'm intimidated. Stop that.
Zine edits—I worked really really hard on an art piece for a LoZ zine coming up! This week is critique, and I anticipate a few edits later.
By Month
Facebook posts—a lady I know wants to commission pretty quote images to post on her Facebook. I need to reply to her text. And do them.
September
I primarily worked on the fic Blood-Sucker's Guide to High School. I also worked on and submitted one fic and one piece of art to two different zines, which I hope you'll see soon.
October
If you care, you may have noticed I'm not doing Whumptober this year! Part of this is because I'm a bit burned out from the above, and part of it is that the prompts just didn't seem very inspiring to me this year. Maybe that's just my mindset. I haven't been in a very whumpy mood.
I'm planning on filling weekly prompts for @fsfrightfight this month and maybe chipping away at some other fics, in addition to one more zine contribution. I'm also going to be planning for November and doing some scattered art work here and there.
November
NaNoWriMo! I considered skipping this... but I'm feeling really inspired and motivated to do it, especially with October as a break. I'm going to write some original work, and that will be the focus of my November. I'll likely get some other art done, too.
December
I hope to dedicate this month to finishing things up from this year! That means working on "backburner" projects.

Aa! I'm a bit shy but, I love genshin and play it all the time, can I just say you genshin OC's are literally so cool! I might have missed this but are they all mondstadt-ers? I was looking at their visions and I was a bit curious, their designs are amazing! I love how many notes and details you included on the side! Do they have any special or cool details you feel like gushing about?
Awe, thank you so much!! ;; I typically take notes when designing rough drafts for new characters, it's a habit that helps me remember little details that I might forget later on. I'm so glad you like my silly little ocs! (And thank you so so much for asking about them!) <3
Before I get into the 'dets, here's just a little chart with everyone's names and pronouns on it so y'all know who I'm referring to!
Tumblr media
While they all currently reside in Mondstadt, not all of them are from the city! Ayleen is from a smaller town somewhat close to the area (still deciding on whether it's a canon one or one I made up) and Justice is from Sumeru! I just happened go draw them with the Mondstadt Vision because I forgot what the Sumeru one looks like XD
As for fun facts/details, I have a few of 'em! First off, Cameron doesn't know why and how the heck they got a Vision; she's more of the content, stay-at-home type, not really ambitious. Yet. He still has one for some reason??? Honestly, Cam doesn't really like the fact that they have a Vision, they see it more as a burden or a confusing reminder more than anything else; a mistake of an Archon. She doesn't use her powers very often- he knows how to like, draw water out of a well or stop a leaky water pipe, but for combat? Yeah they don't know what they're doing XD It's mainly why they stick to making shields and other defensive/supportive measures!
A fun fact about Justice is that they are Lisa's apprentice! They are training under her to become a librarian as well as learning to use and strengthen their powers! She moved to Mondstadt from Sumeru because she was fascinated with their government system and wanted to learn more!
Those are the most significant little details, or at least the ones that get me the most excited! ^^ Thank you again for asking about them, and I look forward to sharing more art and story 'dets as I develop more! <3
