The Mirror

Most commonly at night or in the morning, in the seasons of fall or winter, the surface of the water goes very still and shows a mirrorlike effect. I don't know why it doesn't seem to happen as often during the day or in the summer or spring. I'm sure there's some scientific reason or maybe it's just my experience by chance.

Some of these were taken from my grandparents' balcony, others while out on a walk, or stopped by. And others, well...had the bright idea to take photos of the same scene at different times of day for a photography project, so cue me walking the campus grounds in the dead of night to get the photos I wanted. Didn't run into any creeps, though. :)

*back from a mission, Shisui and Itachi take a bath in the river outside the Uchiha compound*

Itachi: God … how long has it been since my last bath? I’m filthy!

Shisui: YOU’RE filthy?! I think more dirt is coming out of my hair than there is beneath my feet!

*the two work on cleaning themselves quietly for awhile, and then they pick a spot to just sit and relax in the warm sun*

Shisui, softly: Why can’t life be like this always?

Itachi: Like what?

Shisui: This. *floats his hand in and out of the water for emphasis* See how calm and still the current is? It’s so gentle and quiet.

Shisui: Nothing like our lives, eh? Things being thrown at us constantly, and always feeling like we’re about to be pulled under the churning waves … It all just gets to be so much sometime.

Itachi: I understand that. I really do. But, personally, I’m starting to find comfort in the “wild waters”.

Shisui: What do you mean?

Itachi: Life is nice when it’s calm and still like this. But it can also be wild and exciting, and dangerous, and mysterious, and all kinds of things. You and me, sure we’ve gone through some bad things, but we’ve also been privileged to see and do things that many others will never get to do in their lifetimes.

Shisui, smiling: Never thought of it like that …

Itachi: Mm. So —

*suddenly little Sasuke comes flying down the road*

Sasuke: Ni-san! Ni-san! Mom said I could take my bath with you and Shisui-nii!

Sasuke: *gets to the edge and does a cannonball into the river, sending a spray of water and mud all over Itachi and Shisui’s heads*

Itachi: … then again maybe there IS something to be said about enjoying the “still waters” of life.

Shisui: @shisui-bingo

×]Что ж, пришло время последнего поста по теме сталкера. Пока что последнего

×]Аж целых 7 месяцев назад я выложила первый пост по сталкерской тематике. Примерно в то же время на свет появилась эта неумёха, позывной которой - Тихий Омут

×]Упрямая и нетерпеливая 20-тилетняя зараза ростом 1.70м. Такая же ленивая, как и её создатель, и так же любит природу больше людей. Соответствует своему позывному - мало говорит и не любит внимание. Хотя в её случае такое поведение как раз идёт на пользу, как и прочие попытки ��крывать свою личность

×]Помимо схожести в характере мы схожи и по физической составляющей, что заметно снижает её шансы на выживание :D Зачем мне такая отмычка в качестве персонажа? Потому что я смот��ю правде в глаза, отправься я в ЧЗО, стала бы кормом для воронов за пару дней. Но кто знает, может, и мне повезло бы? Чудеса ведь случаются, особенно в Зоне

×]Так мы дошли до главного вопроса - а на кой чёрт ей сдалась эта Зона? Ответ скучный, но ожидаемый - любопытство. Хотя чего скрывать, Омут относится к той группе людей, которые почему-то думают, будто эта серая искажённая реальность может быть лучше той, в которой они жили раньше. Что ж, посмотрим, как скоро она осознает свою глупость. Но многое ли от этого изменится? Ведь все мы знаем, что, пустив человека к себе однажды, Зона не отпустит его уже никогда)

×]Настоящих друзей у уроженцы Мценска небыло, с родителями отношения тоже были такие себе. Детство прошло с любимой бабушкой, а вот дедушку она впервые увидела лишь тогда, когда его дом в Тини́це стал промежуточным пунктом на пути к Зоне. Веря, что внучка приехала в такую даль ради встречи со всеми забытым родственником, дедушка позволил ей остаться и научил её паре полезных навыков, в числе которых была стрельба из ружья. Того самого обреза, который Тишь стащила с собой в Зону. Вот она, благодарность за заботу и подаренный золотой компас

×]Ну да ладно, оставим в покое её угрызения совести. Текст у меня закончился, а рисунки ещё остались. Вот этот был вдохновлён титрами одного годного фанатского сериала "Тёмная Душа"
