Almost a year later, but I can finally pull this project out of the oven and call it DONE 🤣.

I absolutely 💖💖💖 Robbie and I’m especially happy with how he turned out. I decided to use a turkey stitch to make the flames and I must say *chef’s kiss*. If you haven’t watched the trailer for Marvel’s Midnight Suns, you’re missing out on some hot Ghost Rider footage.

Well here we are again! I figured it would be a good idea to finish this project before October gets here. Needless to say I have no 2021 plans for a project calendar 😓.

I’m still contemplating adding Red Skull’s signature white teeth in the future, but I can’t decide if three full stitches or a simple back stitch line would look better.

Super Snack Size! Stitchtober (2020) Day 27: Prophecy

A time traveler Rama-Tut, who would later become know as Kang the Conqueror, knew Apocalypse was destined to rule the world as the most powerful mutant that ever lived. As such, he traveled back in time to find Apocalypse as a child, raise him, and fulfill said prophecy with Mutant as the superior race. Though of course not everything goes as predicted.

I wanted to play around and see if I could make his metal arm tubes with just some thread, instead of full stitches. Which the later I feel would have looked blocky and lost to the overall design. But I was able to achieve my goal with two strands of DMC thread and some Fray check!

I don’t know why but I convinced myself to use metallic floss for Doc Ock’s mechanical arms. Did I ever mention how much I hate metallic floss? No? Mmkay. Anyway, I have to say the floss does give more of a pop, so the struggle was worth it in the end.

October kind of snuck up, didn’t it? We are starting #stitchtober much later in the day, with the theme Possession and who better to fit the bill then Dark Phoenix.

An immortal cosmic entity, the Phoenix Force has possessed several different hosts over time. The most frequently linked being Jean Grey. Who eventually becomes corrupted and falls to the entity’s power, thus renaming herself as Dark Phoenix.

Not gonna lie... I had to completely redo Doom here. My first attempt had a darker gray body color. I feel even with this lighter version the black outline detail is lost within the face a little. I’m mostly pleased with how he turned out, but I feel I could do better. Oh, Doom also knows sorcery.
