Red Bank is a well-know very wealthy town in New Jersey. (I’ve never been there) and this 1930 stone estate is for sale for $1.887M. It looks like a castle house, but it’s called Cobble Close Farm.

I still say it’s a castle.

This place is real stone- not the simulated stone wallpaper. Look at the arches.

Here’s a cute little bar room.

Through the glass door in the bar is an awesome columned stone patio.

The furnishings are antique and ornate, but I do like the peachy color of this sitting room, and the stairs. Look at the statue niches.

Then up some stairs to the dining room. Like the wall color and how the colorful chair fabric ties in. They sure do like niches.

The kitchen is surprisingly dull and dated, but it opens to a glass-enclosed sunroom.

This is beautiful.

What I like about this home is the proliferation of glass sunrooms. Here’s another one. Love these.

Interesting choice of piano color in this room.

They’ve incorporated wood paneling with cement and stone throughout this home. Love the fireplace wall.

Off the sitting room is another sunroom.

One of the home’s 3 baths.

And, the home also has 3 bds. This is the main bd. and en suite.

The other 2 bds. and remaining 3rd bath.

Here’s a covered porch.

Yow, plenty of parking for everyone.

Nice fountain.

A pool and cabanas.

Oooh, horses! (Do they convey?)

I’d live here, even though it’s more South Jersey.

This is the cell of Daniel the Hesychast in the Neamț County. Daniil was a famous ascetic, whom Prince Stephen III the Great (1457-1504) often consulted on matters of both personal salvation and politics.

Situated only one mile away from another historic landmark (Putna Monastery), this place of solitude and prayer was built by a single man, Daniil Sihastrul, that used nothing but a chisel in his quest of being as close to God as possible.

This is Blackberry Castle built in 2004 in Portland, Oregon has 6bd. 6ba. and is listed for $5M.

This particular home does have lots of castle-like elements, but it also has a number of modern luxury features mixed in, so it’s kind of a castle hybrid.

For instance, in the courtyard garden, they have some Medieval architecture and some modern. Note “The Oasis” sign for the bar. You wouldn’t see that in a castle.

The bar is very well-equipped.

This is beautiful.

You’ll notice that there are small spaces, like this one, throughout the house.

Looking at it straight on, the kitchen doesn’t look gigantic.

But, it’s a very convenient work setup and has a wonderful exhaust hood. I love the two toned cabinets and the fancy farm sinks.

Plenty of space for dining in.

Look at the big stone fireplace in the sitting room. Floor to ceiling windows provide great views of the gardens.

Above is a mezzanine. I don’t know what other color wall there could be, but I never cared for gold. It would cost too much to redo.

A 2 story library with a 2 story fireplace. Giant clock and compass in the ceiling.

Look at the carpet in the home theater. This is more like a Baroque style- love the blue lights in the ceiling.

All castles need a tower staircase. Look at the clouds painted on the border.

Here’s another one of those small spaces. This one has only an organ. This would give off cool Addams Family vibes. I wonder if it conveys.

I would say that this is the main bd. The ceiling looks like a wheel (I wonder if it’s an antique farm tool) and it has a nice stone fireplace and a terrace.
