Well, I'm a huge fan of storefront churches & their imaginative names - there's one here in Baltimore called Blood on the Door, for instance. The one above is in Nairobi.

It's still #BandcampFriday for another hour and change here on the West Coast and this new #Low cover from Storefront Church and Phoebe Bridgers is just about making me sob.

Low have a lot of great covers, but I haven’t heard that many great covers of them (if you know some, plz let me know). This one, though.

Storefront Church- “Us Against Us”
This song is from Storefront Church’s 2021 album, As We Pass. Storefront Church is LA musician Lukas Frank’s current project.
Recently Storefront Church covered band Low’s Words with Phoebe Bridgers as a tribute to Mimi Parker, Low’s drummer and vocalist, who passed away last year in November.

2022 Loosies: Storefront Church ft. Phoebe Bridgers — “Words”
Yeah, I do like Bridgers’ two albums a lot, but if you couldn’t already guess why this is here just go look at my Low tag, I guess. I had this as my final(?) amnesty pick at the Singles Jukebox, where nobody else liked it very much. I’m happy with my last(?) “this means a lot to me” TSJ blurb though, and I have to admit that being occasionally smacked sharply in the face with other peoples’ equally valid perceptions is another thing I really valued about the Jukebox experience.
