The devs for this game are so fantastic and the authors are very sweet. I've never seen a choice based game care so sincerely about their audience. Yes, it's still "premium options are diamonds" but they make it SO EASY to rack up those diamonds for free (I've gotten 1000+ saved from doing the bare minimum) and you still get like 3 days of free play during the rushes.

Hey y’all!

I wrote a Cas/Gabe fanfic to celebrate Gabriel’s birthday! Happy Halloween! This fic is very dark!gabriel vibes, and if y’all have read my other fic (and it’s only half past the point of no return), you wouldn’t be surprised by this. I linked that other fic here too if you want to have a read! We’re up to almost 18k words :)

Anyway, this fic is a oneshot and I wanted to explore the Cas/Gabe dynamic through a more..unhinged version of Gabriel. as much as I love how well adjusted he is, it just isn’t realistic to me that he would lose everyone he loves/loves him and still be this sane. So I added some spice.

I’m actually LOVING how Rick Riordan, and the other writers of the show, took his initial concept of a Percabeth rivalry fueled by that of their parents and kind of turned it on its head?

Now, instead of Annabeth being wary of Percy because he’s a son of Poseidon, he’s wary of her because she made a callous impression on him. They get off to a rocky start even before finding out who Percy’s father is, and when they finally do, Annabeth doesn’t care. Instead of them fighting because of who their parents are, they’re fighting over their own opposed worldviews.

Then, instead of them arguing over which of the gods is cooler and who was right in the story of Medusa, they realize that, just like Medusa, Annabeth is a victim of her mother and that, unlike Medusa, she is a far kinder and stronger person, unwilling to repeat the cycle of hurt. They realize that, like his father, Percy often acts without considering potential consequences and that, unlike his father, he is a far kinder and stronger person, willing to step up for someone he wronged and whom he cares about.

Instead of Percy and Annabeth’s rivalry being focused on that of their parents, it’s focused on who they are, themselves. But the path to friendship is still the same: a realization that they have each other’s backs, no matter what, because they’re not their parents after all.

I’m just curious what you think of the MC for immortal desires? Because personally I’m really digging him (my MC is male) and I like that he’s not just a moral compass but instead actually seems to like being the reckless and not in a good boy gone bad way.

Hello! The MC from Immortal Desires is likeable enough and it's surprising to me because we can occasionally get annoyed with some of the MCs in other Choices books. I like that they aren't a "goody two shoes" type all the time and they don't serve as the main moral compass of the team. I really enjoy reading about the dynamic they have with their family as well. Aside from that, the chemistry between Gabe or Cas or both of them is great. Thank you for asking this! It's nice to get an ask from a fellow Cas stan! 💖

The Barbie movie looks AMAZING and I'm down for whatever it is they are planning to release into the world. It's campy. It's kitsch. It's earnest. It's pink. IT'S PERFECT. And the only thing that would make it even more perfect would be a post-credits scene where it's revealed that the whole plot was play-acted by an 8-year old child playing with their dolls.
