Character A: So, what if we don't hate each other as much as we used to?
Character B: Are you saying you've actually grown fond of me?
Character A: Don't push it. I just... tolerate you now.

Story/Sentence Starters #1 (Taken From Stories I'll Probably Never Finish Writing.)
Feel free to change any pronouns to fit your narrative :] Credit is not needed.
《☆》
Their intention was not to kiss them.
The watch on their wrist ticked, and ticked and ticked.
For an unusually amount of time, [name] has been staring at [name].
Having to spend their Saturday confined in a closet with [name] was surely an unexpected way for them to spend their weekend.
Whether it was a mistake or not, [name] did not care.
They had not given this near as much thought as they should have.
There was nothing [name] hated more than being royalty.
There was a subtle hum. It was almost inaudible, but [name] caught it.
This wasn't [name]'s wisest decision. They could admit that, but it was too late to turn back now.
Normally, the whirr of the fan would pass undetected. Now, it was all [name] could hear.

Emotional hurt/comfort prompts
Send me one + a character/characters/ship and I might write you something!
“You know...when you get insulted enough, you'll eventually forget what a real compliment sounds like.”
“Important to you? Me? Don't joke about things like that.”
“When did you last sleep?”
“I keep returning to that place...to that moment and thinking...maybe I could have changed it, somehow.”
“Every time I hear that sound, I'm a child again, and all the bad things...they happen all over again.”
“You're hurting. Let me help.”
“I keep wishing for an accident to happen. To have a real reason for my pain. Isn’t that fucked up?”
“I’ve noticed you avoiding me. Why?”
“I don’t need anyone to tell me I’m traumatised!”
“Sometimes I feel like there is a weight on my chest that takes away all my breath.”
“I miss them, dammit! I miss them so much.”
“I know it’s stupid to want it back and yet...I can’t help but wanting to go back to the times when everything was easier.”
“You don’t always have to shoulder it alone, you know.”
“I hate seeing you be in so much pain.”
“I’ve got nothing left! Why do you still hang around me?”
“Ah, but that kind of feelings are not allowed. Not for me, anyway.”
“For someone who’s always comforting others, you sure do a shit job of letting yourself be comforted.”

I'd like to imagine a reader and Vash playing Good cop bad cop, where they're wanting information but reader is aggressive in an almost passive aggressive way but if progress is getting nowhere they result in violence. As for Vash he's trying to calm both the suspect and reader cause reader is about to commit a murder along with the suspect screaming and pleading for mercy.
I could be a writer if i wanted to, but if i had the motivation to keep going i’d write full on stories☠️

Catch Up with Choices Prompts!
August is catch-up month for previous @choicesprompts events!
Tumblr media
The year is half over. Summer is winding down for many people. If you have kids in school, this is the quiet before the storm, the lull between the carefree days of early summer and the hectic back-to-school rush to come.
For those of us in the South it’s too hot for outdoor activities and fall is still just a distant dream.
So, what to do with yourself?
How about getting back to that fic you were going to write but didn’t?
We get it. Life gets in the way. Maybe you wanted to participate in one of our past events but didn’t have time, missed the deadline, or just didn’t have an idea for it until after the fact. Whatever the reason, here’s a second chance to take a crack at it!
For the entire month of August, we will be accepting submissions for past choices prompts story starter events.
As a bonus, we will also accept submissions for select past 2023 events on our sister blogs, choices holidays, Drake Walker appreciation, or Maxwell Beaumont appreciation. (All past events open for submission are linked below).
Everything will be placed on one master list, sorted by category, and posted at the beginning of September.
The deadline for all events is Thursday, August 31st, 2023, 11:59 p.m. CST.
Events that are reopened for submissions:
Story Starter Prompts
Spring Holidays 2023
Maxwell’s Birthday Extravaganza
World Whiskey Day
July's Rewrite Challenge

Character A: You know, for someone so clever, you have an uncanny ability to always get us into trouble.
Character B: Trouble finds us, my dear, and I simply offer it a seat.
Character A: Maybe next time, offer it a cup of tea and a polite exit strategy.
Character B: Ah, but where's the fun in that? Besides, trouble has terrible taste in tea.
Character A: I can't decide if your audacity is infuriating or endearing.
Character B: Why not both? Keeps things interesting.
