“It doesn’t look too bad.” His voice was soft in a near whisper, and he let his hand drift lower, stroking over the top of Arthur’s collarbone. The man seemed to shudder, frozen in place as his lips parted and he tried to say something in response.

Charles didn’t let him, grabbing him by his suspenders and pulling him in, pressing his lips against the outlaws and bringing his other hand up to hold the back of his head, knocking his hat to the ground. It barely took a second of rigid shock, and then Arthur was responding, kissing him right back and holding the front of Charles’ shirt, pulling them flush as their mouths slid against each other, hot and frenzied, tongues and teeth and sudden, intense heat.

Fanart I made for this specific scene, found in chapter 7 of Necromantic's fanfiction Strange Visitor. It's such an amazing work, written by such an amazing person. <3 10/10 would recommend reading.

What made you write strange visitors and faithless? What popped up in your head that had you go eureka?

Strange Visitor was... well, a few things but first and foremost was "haha aliens. Wish Arthur could get abducted, that'd be funny. Hey wait a minute--" and then developed from there, really. And I was thinking about how terrifying it would really be to have something happen to you that you don't even have language to express. Something so unknowable in its violation that you're changed inside and out regardless of what happens after. And love helps, care helps, but it won't ever fix it. And you act crazy because how else are you supposed to behave, when everything you thought you knew got turned on its head? It's like the terror of an Eldritch horror, how the more you see of it, the more you realize that it sees of you, all of you, and you can't stop it. The door is open and can never be closed, and youre powerless. There's nothing you can do and things are *happening* to you, and nobody believes you. Also it's a trans allegory. Because of course it is.

Faithless started as a question I had regarding the games honor mechanic. Arthur and John can't be the only ones with shifting honor, right? They're just the only ones we see, because they are the only ones we play. And then I was thinking about the differences between high and low honor, in the things Arthur says and does, sure, but how his actions influence the attitude of the gang. Even if they weren't there to see those actions take place. So what if everyone was low honor? Still themselves, just like how low honor Arthur is still Arthur, but a damaged, hurting, angry, hopeless version of themselves. The worst possible parts of them in the driver's seat. And THEN, instead of Arthur himself following the same rules of honor in flux, he is removed entirely from that equation by being something so deranged that nobody and no one could ever reach that level? He's the worst of them all, and they don't even know it. What would happen if the foundation of the gang was rotten? What else would rot by proximity alone?

Or something like that. But anyway, I get thoughts like that, and then I lay awake at night and stare at the ceiling and think up scenes that go to nothing, but it helps me hear the characters and see them and what they would and wouldn't do with these changes in the narrative, and then I write a couple paragraphs and then, you know, a thing occurs. Music helps with writing, a lot of ideas were inspired by songs.

Anson Mount at Star Trek: Las Vegas convention 2023

Pictures and fun Twitter reactions of Anson being at STLV 2023 promoting Star Trek: Strange New Worlds alongside fellow cast members, August 4 2023.

The lines at his autograph table are reportedly huge! A fan posted a video of the waiting line and wrote on Twitter: "If you want an idea of the most popular #StarTrek show and cast at the moment, this was the line for an Anson Mount autograph today at #STLV. By far the longest."

Anson will be doing more autographs and photo-ops over the weekend! Judging by the photo session pictures taken with fans, he is wearing a Captain Pike inspired belt buckle, with the likeness of Captain Pike actor Jeffrey Hunter from Star Trek: The Original Series. :)

Batman/Superman: World’s Finest Vol. 2: Strange Visitor

I’ve read a ton of graphic novels over the last year and change after not having read many for most of my life. Dan Mora’s art in World’s Finest has been my favorite I’ve seen. It doesn’t hurt that Dick and Clark are my two favorite heroes, but I’ve read plenty of other stories starring them and the art hasn’t moved me the way Mora’s has.

I can’t quite put my finger on exactly what about his style makes such an impression on me. I think he’s found a way to perfectly strike the balance of humanity and mythology that DC is built on, especially with Superman.

So far, all my graphic novel reading choices have been based on characters I most care about. I’ve also put a couple on my TBR based on writers I’ve enjoyed. Mora might be the first artist to force me to seek out his work regardless of the story or characters, just so I can see his illustrations.

Can’t wait for more of the World’s Finest run to be put in collected volumes, especially the Teen Titans run so I can see Dick’s arc in that!

Hello! I just read strange visitor and was wondering if you are planning on making more supernatural fics in the future? It was very interesting and I love how you delve into the horror aspects and anxiety of the character going through. Reminds me of those found footage alien movie documentaries or the fourth kind.

I didn't realize there's alot of supernatural things in rdr2 and wondering if anyone explored them yet. Alien abduction and pregnancy made so much sense. Felt like I wasn't reading chapters but watching "episodes" in my head, it was that good. It felt like x files a Lil. Just exploring the oddity in rdr2.

Keep up the good works. It was such a strange fic yet so interesting. You take care.

I figure I can have my little corner of ao3 where I toss Boys into Situations Of Existential Dread from time to time. For fun. As of right now I have.... uhhh.. probably 25ish other fic ideas. But you know how it goes; either they all want to get written at once or none of them do. But if I were you, I'd keep my eyes peeled for some shenanigans.

It's been pouring down with rain for hours, the occasional crash of thunder almost shaking the house. Every few moments it sounds like the rain gets heavier and seems like it's going to break through the windows with how heavy it is.

It's hard to find Ollie when the weather is this bad.

They're not on the ceiling or in one of the attics; it feels too unsafe. They're not in any of their nests, they aren't in the bathroom or the kitchen.

They're in the cupboard under the stairs, shaking as they almost seem to hide in their tentacles, covered almost entirely by the appendages.
