This is part of my Shifter AU, so everyone is alive, and they are the support now for everyone in phase 4.

Tony goes to local shelters during October and spends the days he’s there playing with the animals at the shelter. He just chills with animals, cats, and dogs, because playing with animals is a great stress reliever. Yes, sneezes trigger his shapeshifting, but sometimes experiencing high emotions, like stress, can trigger the shift. He knows that Stephen does his best to minimize the events that’ll cause him to experience high amounts of stress, but it’s unavoidable. Tony may have retired from being Iron Man, but his friends, pseudo-kids, and partner are risking their lives to keep everyone safe. He now gets why Pepper was so stressed out when they were dating.

Tony is in the cat area and notices a cat that people are avoiding. Tony realizes that the cat is black, and knowing people, they release the cat to the shelter because they fear black cats and what they mean. Tony hates that during October, as Halloween nears, people again start believing that black cats are evil. So what if black cats were “evil”? They were still animals that deserved love and care. 

For the next few weeks, as Tony returns to the shelter, he spends most of his time with the black cat at the shelter. Tony couldn’t help but feel for the cat. He knew how the cat felt. Being shown love and care, but once their usefulness was over, fear or money, they were quickly abandoned.

On a whim one Saturday morning, Tony decided to adopt the black cat, and once home, Tony shifted into a cat. Tony, as a cat, took the form of a black. Peter and America were in on this little crusade. The two teens had followed Tony to the animal shelter, and they had fallen in love with the black cat when they laid their eyes on the kitty in Tony’s arms.

Stephen was gone for the day as there was a magical mishap with which Wong and a few other masters needed help. So Peter and America spend the whole day playing with Cat!Tony and Midnight the cat (Peter just said the word ‘midnight’ in a stream of random words to see if the cat would respond to it, and that was the only name the cat would react to, earning a smack on the arm by America, “You can’t just say random words and now look what happened! ). Aunt May falls in love with the cat the moment she sees Cat!Tony playing with Midnight.

When Stephen gets home, he finds America and Peter curled around Cat!Tony and Midnight asleep, and when Midnight looks up from his cat pile with Cat!Tony, because did he accidentally cast a clone spell on Tony before he left to help Wong? 

“Did I accidentally cast a replicating spell this morning?”

All four sleeping beings wake up in surprise, and in a sleepy voice, both Peter and America say, “Surprise?”

Peter and America’s puppy dog eyes and Tony’s soft cat eyes, he melts and accepts Midnight. Stephen catches May’s eyes and sees her shrug; she knows how intense the teens’ puppy dog eyes were, and with Cat!Tony’s eyes it was a triple attack of cuteness. Stephen finally understands all the questions the troublemakers ask him. 

“Also, who decided on the name Midnight?”

“It’s Peter’s fault!!”

IronStrange AU - Birthday Edition

Since it’s Tony’s birthday today, aka I just remembered that it’s his birthday, I thought I’d make a little blurb au or something.

I headcanon Tony as being able to cook and bake. Tony made do with what he had in that scene in IM2 okay. He loves to cook/bake and from time to time he’ll bake treats for his family/friends. Like birthdays and Christmas and whatever special occasion happens.

Also, this is an au where everyone is alive and happy and just the whole adopted family trope is my fave. Stephen wants to do something special for Tony’s birthday so he and Peter and America decided to bake a cake for Tony's birthday cuz Tony always cooks/bakes for everyone.

Wong is there to actually help cuz Stephen Peter and America are trying their best but there’s a reason they’re not the cooks/bakers. Wong has mastered the art of baking/cooking and he and Tony share the secrets/tricks that they’ve learned.

Pepper and Rhodey are there to distract Tony with their own birthday traditions when it used to be just the four of them. Happy is there as a “bodyguard” cuz he takes his job seriously but he’s really here to celebrate Tony’s birthday.

Anyways back to Stephen and the others. Instead of the ingredients making their way to the bowl that Wong is stirring, it gets on everyone. Let’s just say that Cloakie loves getting messy. (Inspired by the Tide ad with Cloakie getting food on itself)

Wong is making red velvet cake, not the store-bought kind. Tony deserves something homemade okay. Anyways all of the Avengers and other heroes start coming to the Stark mansion to set up for the birthday celebration.

They all bring their own food specialties. They somehow get covered in flour because they’re all chaotic enough alone, but together it’s just pure chaos. Tony, Pepper, Rhodey, and Happy come back to the others covered in flour frozen in a way that suggests they were in a good fight. (The cake is already baked and decorated and now they’re cleaning up but Peter and America accidentally got flour on each other)

Once the others realize that the quartet is back they’re all “SURPRISE!!” And FRIDAY sets off the confetti and Wong is like “I made sure the cake was actually getting made” Tony thinks this is the best birthday ever cuz everyone’s just chaotic and having fun.

Tony gives Stephen a little kiss on the lips and nose cuz Stephen looks cute that he’s trying his best to contain the chaos even though he’s also part of the chaos.
