Opinions on Spinach being Strawberry's adoptive Mother (If it isn't obvious, this ain't a ship this is an "What if...?")
Having someone as outgoing and as soft as Spinach for a mother would do wonders for Strawberry’s Morale.
I see Spinach as being the one to step up to Strawberry and take her in, recognizing that the child admires her but is too nervous to make the first move.
Spinach not only moderates Strawberry’s health, but also helps her unlearn a lot of self-doubting habits she may have. Comparing herself to others? Don’t do that. Thinking she’s not good enough? She’s more than enough. Just about every way Strawbs could put herself down, Spinach won’t let her. That’s raising a kid for you (bonus: Spinach literally does that, sometimes seating Strawberry on her shoulder).
At the same time... Spinach is the type to recognize that strawberry needs some boundaries. She doesn’t force her out when she’s making chiptunes on Pocket Strawberry, she tries to ask more about Strawberry’s interests even if she doesn’t properly get them. And if Strawberry is averted to a certain type of veggies, Spinach will not force it. She will find ways around that (Possibly with some aid from Sandwich).
That being said, Spinach is definitely the mom to get all teasy about Strawberry bringing in another friend if she did.

The baby thoughts! Give us the baby thoughts!
Baby thoughts!!! Coming your way!!!!!
Turned out rather long cause this murder baby has emotions!!! Fuck!!!
They are an android; a bot. The most sophisticated project to come out of the Vanilla Kingdom. This was a project overseen by Pure Vanilla himself... with some help from a certain friend (with some convincing since she didn’t want to risk messing up the project). Their purpose? To be a Cookie like any other-- Vanilla and other researchers wanted to see if they could create a Cookie without the Witches’ methods... one that was far less crumbly than themselves. This Cookie would operate like any other citizen-- blending in and living a life full of free will.
However... that’s not how the story went.
The Dark Flour War happened. And, as the battles struck, the project was still in the works. Albeit, almost complete. A malfunction happened eventually, and the pod that stored the bot was opened: releasing Strawberry Crepe into the empty streets of this once bustling kingdom.
All alone, Strawberry Crepe felt wronged. Every emotion they felt upon booting up was a negative one: confusion, anger, sadness, fear, loneliness. Everything was too much... they wondered what was with these emotions. And, as they discovered their artificial nature, Crepe began to wonder if the very things that were meant to make them unique meant they were defective.
The only solace through all of this was the Wafflebots: which, being far less intricate than their own design, were things Crepe could operate easily. In a way, they weren’t unlike having pets. Companions. The only difference being that, as long as their hard drive wasn’t busted, Strawberry Crepe could repair them as many times as was necessary.
It wasn’t enough, however. These bots... they were unlike Crepe; they exhibited no emotions. They did their tasks with no thought or hesitation. The very things that was their only source of comfort... became a reminder of what they thought was a defect in their programming.
They were so close to falling into despair once more...
Then a certain Cookie made her presence known to the impressionable and lonely Cookie.
She initially thought nothing of them, but for Crepe this was one of the first times they ever saw another Cookie. They were positively ecstatic!! And did everything in their power to make sure this new found “friend” wouldn’t leave them. This included showing off their skill set in magichanical engineering.
This Cookie, known as Dark Enchantress, took a keen interest in this skillset. Not out of genuine care or friendship, but because this child would no doubt prove... useful.
But this faux sense of companionship? It was more than Strawberry Crepe had ever experienced before.
Over time, their skills with bots manifested into the same lack of care for other Cookies... Cookies who stood against their mistress. There was even a strange sense of joy they felt upon hurting others; the feeling that they were having fun and would be told how proud the others were of them.
Those words were always left hanging in the air, however. And so, Crepe remains ever tied to a rope they’ll never reach the end of...
