Intro
Hi, I'm A.J., and this is a blog dedicated to my personal journey attempting to reintegrate healthy fitness/exercise into my life after recovery from an eating disorder, as well as working on fitness whilst dealing with a physical disability.
I won't post calorie counts or what I eat - pro-ED accounts are not welcome and will be blocked. I will probably occasionally discuss weight and weight loss - if that may trigger you, please do not follow this page.
This blog will mainly focus on trying out (and eventually maintaining) exercise routines that help me stay fit both physically and mentally!
Weekly plan:
-Reflection on Saturdays
-A loose food/exercise plan
-Updates during the week (tagged #midweek update)
Main goals:
-Yoga daily by 31/07/2023. This is a form of exercise that massively helped me during recovery. Currently I do it once a week; I want to build that up over the next couple of months.
-Go to the gym twice a week, by 31/08/2023. This isn't very often, but that's the point here - I don't want to set myself unachievable goals and then feel guilty when I inevitably fail them. Once I reach consistent gym time twice a week, I'll see how I feel and decide whether to increase it from there.
My main aim gym-wise is strength training, as I lost a lot of muscle strength during the height of my ED. I'd like to regain that strength!

I own a pyromancy flame for home defense, like the witches of izalith intended. Four invaders break into my castle. “What the devil?” As I grab my sage’s blindfold and fire orb. Burn a titanite chunk-sized hole in the first man. He’s dead on the spot. Cast my black flame on the second man. Misses him entirely cause the tracking sucks and nails the neighbours wolf. I have to resort to the chaos bed vestiges from the top of the ramparts. “Tally ho lads!” The flames shred two men in the blast. The aoe sets off traps in surrounding homes. Draw chaos dagger and charge the last terrified hollow cause I’m out of fp. He dies while trying to black crystal out cause the hit box is janked. Just as the witches intended.

My favorite thing about Yor and Twilight is that both their jobs are designed for cut-throat perfection. There are no in-betweens, no excuses or second chances where assassination and espionage are concerned. Which is why seeing them both warm up to parenting is so wonderful.

They both make their fair share of mistakes, whether it’s running out of patience or simply being at a loss on how to deal with a child of Anya’s age and temperament.

But at the end of the day, they end up being the two most important people in Anya’s life without even realizing it because they keep trying.

They acknowledge their flaws but more importantly they try to fix them and grow from them - for both Anya’s sake and each other’s.

They know their circumstances are far from perfect. They know that they are far from perfect. But that doesn’t stop them from wanting a happy childhood for their daughter - and really, isn’t that the best any parent could ever want for their child?

can’t stop thinking about tony working out in the avengers gym and steve’s seeing him, making some crack like “every fight you do is in your suit, you don’t need to work out your ACTUAL body” and tony being like “… do you really think people wait to attack me until i’m in the suit? even your buddy, your bucky, didn’t wait. I still have to fight”.
idk. Steve seeing the iron man suit as Tony’s “hulk form” and tony having to remind him that there’s a person inside it, and the person is the fighter. not the suit.

tbh i think that even unwinnable fights should be winnable. some of the BEST fights i've ever run as a dm were ones i built kill the players (in a fun way. I had some cutscenes prepped so even the loss would be a different flavour of win)- but then they were clever bastards and managed to either win the fights or pull themselves out of trouble. I think it's perfectly fine to plan for a fight that players aren't supposed to win, but you need to let them. if they can't win, they can't lose, and the meaning of that encounter is diminished. do that too many times, and they stop trusting you to give them roleplay prompts and start expecting to sit there waiting while you drive the story for them.
but if they can win... if there is always the chance to win, no matter how impossible the odds, then they ALWAYS have hope. they always get invested. they feel the big emotions of success or the big emotions of failure, and you fucking Win as a dm/roleplay prompter/lead bastard.
