Hi, just wanna add/bring up three more points to the DFO theory + Midoriya having a natural Quirk
Also some thoughts of 412 are included here:
1. What if it's behind the vault door? Why do the vestiges sit in front of it, almost as if they're guarding it? Why is that door the only thing intact?
When Kudo says he has to let go of OFA, what if that's so they can't hold back what's in the vault door? Why was it specifically Star's arm, when we know she was raising hell in AFO's world?
One For All can't be wielded by a normal person anymore. In other words, someone with a Quirk. By locking the Quirk away, does that count? And they're just holding it back so Midoriya doesn't become like Shinomori's shortened life or AFO's Singularity-body-warping? Since Yoichi already said they're past the point of Singularity, why hasn't Midoriya's body warped?
2. The post I made about AFO liking Quirks like Toga likes blood. Midoriya, like AFO, has a fascination of Quirks. He analyzes how people use theirs and is amazed by how hard Quirks are put to use for people. But he also has a great/innate understanding of Quirks, and managed to use the vestiges' with barely any training (ex. Fa Jin, Gearshift)
Unlike AFO, Midoriya looks at the person first (Eri, Shoto, Bakugo, etc), and even Kudo calls this out in 412, that he looks at the goodness in people's hearts. AFO looks at the Quirk first (Ragdoll, Best Jeanist), and discards the person. He never bothered to find Ragdoll after stealing her Quirk, nor did he care when he used corpses as the base for Nomus.
3. The double-pinky joint. Midoriya has this, and so it's believed he won't have a Quirk. But if he's technically second-generation, he can still absolutely have a Quirk; for the first generation, Abilities happened because of a newly-discovered gene. People who could have the joint could still have Abilities, because they were just normal humans and suddenly woke up to find maybe their hair is floating now. Abilities were just popping up at random, and I don't think it'd be reasonable that a lot of humanity had just been living without the extra joint. Abilities scared them because no one knew what caused them, and created a fantasy-ish Uncanny Valley effect
The pinky toe was discovered later, and people used it as a basis then, but it's rudimentary. Because Midoriya was told to give up by Garaki, and Inko just apologized and cried, Midoriya just believed he really didn't have a Quirk.
Which brings the next point:
4. We see Midoriya as a kid, tearfully trying to make his parents' Quirks work. Lifting objects, or breathing fire—but if AFO was his dad, he never would've had the ability to breathe fire.
The start of All For One was a blank slate of having no Quirks available, because none had been taken yet.
But Midoriya, rather than take, was given One For All: a Quirk. Even disregarding the DFO theory, this is a parallel of AFO and OFA.
All For One takes. One For All decides to be given.
If Midoriya had AFO as a natural Quirk, it makes sense he's classified as Quirkless. But it also makes sense that he can handle multiple Quirks in one body from OFA; because the nature of AFO is being able to hold multiple Quirks
Midoriya is past the point of Singularity. But he's completely fine. Broken bones, compared to the body morphing into something else entirely? He got a good deal.
Midoriya is Yoichi's embodiment of ["the power to give and take could have been the kindest in the whole world"].
Midoriya is like. An intersection of AFO and OFA then. He has AFO, but was given OFA, and wants to save everyone. Living exactly what AFO could have done with his Quirk: saving others.

The hard pivot away from Pokotho being an alien from literal outer space to being an eldritch horror from beyond time and space is SUPER funny to me. But also I like to believe that Pokey always takes the form of an alien because he thinks it's funny and at least space is quiet.

The right mindset for an exchange year abroad
There's no singular correct mindset or way of thinking when it comes to planning and preparing for a year abroad. However, there are some aspects that can make life a little easier so here's what you should consider doing.
Accepting being an obvious foreigner If you're doing a year in a country such as China, then be prepared to be the odd person. Yes, chances are you will get stared at. You may hear "waiguoren"!, especially if you got travelling outside of the more international areas. Yes, you will sometimes feel like an outsider, like you'll never fully integrate. And that's ok. A reality that I had to accept is that whilst I may be welcome to stay here, I will remain an obvious visitor here.
Trying new things An obvious one, but don't just stay in your dorm watching tv-shows all the time. Get out and explore the city. Even if you decide to talk a stroll in the local park, that also counts. Obviously there wil be days when you need to recharge and spend some time by yourself, but going out and leaving your bubble can be the greatest kindness that you show yourself.
Break out of your shell Similar to point #2, but this one can be tricky. Trying new things e.g. trying a new dish at your school canteen vs going to a local restaurant by yourself are a tad different. This one takes time, and even the most outgoing person can struggle with this in a foreign place. Baby steps are the way to go here. If you feel anxious about going to the restaurant, try a cafe in a student/university area first. You can order your drink and if you feel comfortable enough, you can find a spot there and do some reading/studying. In time, you'll feel confident enough to try other places that you may have previously found intimidating. Breaking out of your shell takes time, so don't push yourself too much.
The local customs will endure long after you have left My professors back at my home uni always said "the local way trumps your way", and they were proven right time after time. Certain things are done a certain way, and whether you like it or not they will continue. The best thing to do, is to research in advance and try to adapt to them. Who knows, maybe in time they'll grow on you (aka me almost forgetting how to use a fork after using chopsticks for so long).
It's usually curiosity, not malice Sometimes you will get stared at, or you may be asked odd questions that in your culture would seem bizzare or perhaps a tad offensive e.g. how much do you/your parents earn? are you married? do you have children? Usually it's asked out of curiosity, rather than to cause offense or malice so try to keep that in mind.
Overcome the feeling of temporariness This is an odd one, but the fact that I'm here in China only for a while sometimes gets to me. Like why bother decorating my dorm room if I'll leave in the end? Why buy an extra blanket if I'll have to donate it if it doesn't fit into my suitcase? Forget this mentality. Yes, you're here for only a year, or maybe even half a year. But. This doesn't mean that you should neglect yourself and your living space. If its affordable and if it'll make your life much more easier and comfortable, then get that thing! If you don't have space in your suitcase, then either ship it back home, sell it, give it to a friend or donate it.
Don't forget about your life back home Keep in touch with your friends and family. You don't necessarily need to call them everyday, but do sent a message every once in a while. A simple "good morning!" text can be enough to reassure your parent(s) that everything's ok. Make sure to keep in touch with your home uni academic advisors, and to make sure that you're meeting all the necessary requirements. Mark the application deadline for those summer internships in your calendar, and don't forget to send your auntie that happy birthday message. You have your current life, but please don't neglect your relationships with your loved ones back at home.

U know twst is such a mindfuck because all the personal stories and events are canonly confirmed to be like alternate universes/events outside of the main story, so you can be besties with this character in one event/story and then you go back to the main story and they fucking hate your guts (sebek)

Hi everybody, I don't usually post directly on my blog anymore but I just set up a gofundme and figured this was the best way to reach people. (and cause this is the only platform I really use lol) It is by no means an emergency, but I would greatly appreciate the help nontheless. My household is extremley toxic and stifling, and I was just presented an amazing opportunity to travel to Paris and Barcelona for my school program. The past few years I have been very active in my school and community in order to make the best of my time in this enviroment, and to set up the stepping stones for my eventual escape. My family is very poor, and those who are not are focusing on being able to pay my college tuition. In addition of myself trying to earn money without a steady income, I could really use some help if anyone was feeling generous. Thank you for your time.

in news from grad life, my supervisor asked me about phd plans today and upon hearing i want to take a few years to do various non-academic things before i start one, immediately produced an application form for a scholarship to study abroad in iceland for a year? like this was not remotely on the radar of what i was planning for next year but tbf i hadn't actually planned that much, and i was initially looking at a master's programme in iceland before i settled on the one i've actually ended up on, so... why not! could be living in iceland this time next year! sometimes niche, half-buried teenage dreams do come true!

omggg you're from ireland?? it seems like such a good country! i'm from argentina and i was thinking of finishing my studies there. are people nice to foreigners? love you!!<3
i've lived here since i was very young but yes it's lovely and most people are very friendly on the whole 💕 i don't know how long you have left in your studies but i would offer a lot of caution because we are in the middle of a very intense housing crisis and also it is so expensive especially if you are in dublin, rents particularly !

i always find it hard to be happy for people accomplishing things that are... very clearly something i could also have done with the right support or a few less obstacles stacked against me, and i know that kind of makes me a bitch bc other people work hard too and other people are struggling with things i don't know about, but it's really just depressing to me more than anything that i can't even Try.

crochet bag I made for my tablet
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since this tablet was reached 12 years ago, I couldn't find any protective bag or cape for it. It's a huge one. So I decided to crochet one bag.
In my plan, the yarn may protect the tablet and cleans up the screen while storing.
It's my proudest crochet project EVER. Created it all on my own.
Now I can take my tablet into places and study on the go (I mean, not in the bus, it would be impossible, but well...)
