why studyblr?

i have a feeling this winter will be dreadful and a combination of staying at home, studying, reading to escape reality, and crying for me. i decided to make a studyblr to help my anxieties. i am hoping that by consistently posting and participating in challenges, i will be able to keep my motivation high in order to power through the semester. i also look forward to starting online (free) liberal arts classes, reading more for self-development, and starting a (bullet)journal. in essence, this is a stepping stone to becoming a better self.

Studyblr Introduction

Hi everyone! I have decided to start a studyblr myself. I have followed the community for some time now. It has been a great source of inspiration and I have admired the content so much, just wasn't sure If I could do that too. With the switching to online classes, and summer semester of 2020 ending, I have so much work to do before the next semester starts, that I decided an extra kick of motivation is exactly what I need! I’m so exited about joining the community!

I’m 21

This fall I will be starting my second year studying environmental engineering

I love dancing. It is my favorite form of expression and brings me so much joy. My favorite forms of dancing is Slavic folk dancing and Cuban salsa. I was looking into joining new dance troupes/classes for folk dancing, but am currently not sure whether its safe to do so, due to COVID.

 Another old passion of mine is photography.  Over the last few years I feel like I have put this aside. I am so exited to get back into this and explore this in a more academic level. I want to get photography theory, and composition books.

I have recently started taking a lot of walks. So i might post pictures I take on my walks. 

I take most of my notes in Cyrilic (and cursive Cyrillic) 

Academics:

I studied environmental science with the focus on ecology for a year before deciding to switch my major (also changed schools) to environmental engineering.  

Classes start in October for me. Usually its October 1st, but it might be pushed back due to to some end of year exam changes because of COVID.

I will be taking Differential equations, Thermodynamics, Organic chemistry, Analytical chemistry, Economics is engineering, and one more subject on which I still haven't decided yet. (It will be ether Introduction to chemical engineering or Functioning of biological systems).

My classes will be mostly held online, but we will go in person for labs in small groups. I’m just hoping this semester will be organized better, because the last one was in shambles.

I am currently taking all of my exams in person at the school building.

What I am currently working on:

I am taking most of my exams from the last two semesters until the end of September. In the state I live in it was illegal to conduct exams online, so all of our exams, and evaluations were postponed until the summer. They have since changed the law in an expedited process, but many schools do not practice it because the infrastructure is not there. 

Making the space I live in more comfortable and inviting.

hi y’all! this is my introduction to my studyblr, something i’ve put off for a while. i’m new to the studyblr area of tumblr, so if you’re an active account let me know so i can follow you! i need all the motivation and good jubies i can get for the upcoming year 💘

i am 15 years old, and i’m going to be a sophmore this year.

i love literature and writing, but i love love cinema a bit more. my favorite director is jean-luc godard, my favorite movies are before sunrise and the oriental express, and i have a soft spot for the film breathless 💘

my biggest dream is to become a surgeon, and of course, to travel the world 🗺 i love learning languages as well, so becoming a polyglot is a big dream of mine as well 🗣

Studyblr Introduction Post

Hey, guys! My name is Grace!

I’m currently a homeschooled student working through the summer to get ahead in school and graduate early so that I can finally go to college and start studying things I’m actually interested in.

With my current plan, I should be able to graduate a semester early. I plan to use that spring semester of free time to study for and take CLEP exams. The more courses I can knock out of the way, the better.

Now, down to the quick facts!

- My current goals are to stay on top of my assignments while finding a way to study for and take the ACT (that’s *kind* of important...).

- My main tool is my iPad Pro that I got for Christmas last year (it was both my birthday and Christmas present... and basically my only Christmas present, but that was my suggestion, I’m grateful for it). I use it for school, for writing, and for playing piano; I’m a keyboard player at my church, and this thing helps a LOT. I have the Logitech Slim Combo case and the Apple Pencil (for note-taking). I use it all day, every day.

- I am a piano teacher and a math tutor.

- I’ve been playing piano and taking lessons for about 8 years, give or take a few.

- My favorite subject is English!

- My least favorite subject is Math (whenever it gets difficult, at least... ironic because I’m a math tutor, right?).

- I’m hoping to become an English major and eventually work my way up to get a PhD in English. I know it’s going to take a few years, but I love writing, and I would prefer to be a college professor over being a journalist (the reporting world is not exactly my cup of tea, but kudos to those who like it!).

- I’m a Ravenclaw and a Thunderbird, and my Patronus is a Calico Cat!

- I’m a huge bookworm! Some of my favorites are The Book Thief, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Outsiders, and Paper Towns. I’m always up for reccomendations!

- Some of my favorite musical artists include Jamie Grace, Morgan Harper Nichols, NF, and tobyMac.

- My favorite Disney movie is “Beauty and the Beast”, particularly the live-action one starring Emma Watson (for the historical accuracy and how well they filled up plot-holes).

Hey, welcome to my studyblr!  I have created a studyblr to keep myself accountable to my goals and step outside my comfort zone!  I’ve been wanting to create this for ages but finally got enough courage to go for it!  This community has improved my study techniques with all their amazing posts and I would love to share and help others too!

I’m currently studying french, biology and chemistry and would love to be able to get all A’s this year.  I love learning new things especially when I have a genuine interest in the topic!  I’m a bit of a stationary addict hehe and love pretty notes!

I’m currently applying to uni and my dream is to be able to study medicine and become a doctor!  

I LOVE good food and believe that it is really important in order to have a fully functioning mind!  I have been a pescatarian (veggie who eats fish) for the past 6 years.  I am very passionate about the environment and animals and this is main reason for my diet!  I aim to become a vegan because I believe that no animal should go through unnecessary harm or pain!

I live in the UK and I love to sail, ski and run in the beautiful mountains and lochs with my two dogs!  My hope is that one day I will be able to join the Royal Navy!

introductory post !

hi all! my name’s amelia (but you can call me mill) and this is my study blog i created way back in november or summin, and only just finished sprucing up so it’s ready to go! figured it’s a good idea to introduce myself :) 

about me

i’m 19 years old and currently live in england

i just finished my first year of university studying psychology, but i am transferring to biology for the academic year 2017-2018!

Hello! My name is Nardeen and this is my studyblr. :-)

Why did I join?

To keep me motivated throughout the school year. I’ve been using this studyblr for about a year now and I find it has kept me quite productive throughout the months.

I’d like to be more active with the wonderful studyblr community. :-)

About me:

- I am ethnically half Assyrian and half Egyptian 🇮🇶🇪🇬 but I was born and raised in Canada. 🇨🇦

- I am entering my senior year this upcoming September 2017.

- I am involved with student council, and I may or may not do track this year.

- I hope to go to the gym this school year and eat healthier, just because. :-)

- I am a member of my community’s United Way and volunteer a ton throughout the year.

- I was recently apart of the Youth Ambassadors Program with Canada and as initiation of this program, I hope to successfully launch an anti-bullying campaign throughout the year as my post project (Like my page on Facebook if you’d like - @antibullyingcampaignabc)

- I love basketball and swimming. I used to swim but eventually lost the time to continue the path to become a lifeguard, I hope to complete my training one day. :-)

- I’m currently undecided for a major, but the medical field and forensics interest me.

- I absolutely love music!! I enjoy mostly every genre… you can always catch me with my headphones.

New studyblr!

Hello guys! 

I’m Emma and I’m from France. I’m 18 and I just finished three years of homeschooling. I’m starting uni in next September and I can’t wait! I feel like homeschool has prepared me for everything that could come at me. I’m doing a Humanities and  Human Sciences licence. It will include a lot of philosophy, literature and languages but also history and geopolitics. 

I love learning and I’ve just started a few courses on edX: Basic Spanish, Justice from Harvardx and Introduction to sociology! Those will help me to learn even more things and keep me from losing my touch with studying over the summer!

I also love reading a lot, mainly philosophy and contemporary books. I also spend a lot of my time working out. I do yoga, running and fitness, this keeps me healthy and fresh throughout the day. 

I’m a Slytherin and I wouldn’t want to be anything else!
