31 August 2019 | Today I tried a new tea at one of my favorite spots to study in our new town and it was wonderful. The description mentioned that it was “nurtured by the clouds and cool mist of early spring” and that sounds like the ideal existence so I’m all for it. Today’s tasks include some reading on the history of ancient Semitic languages and plenty of odd little housekeeping things I need to finish before the term starts this coming week.

I don’t love this picture, but I’ve had an incredibly difficult week mental health-wise (read: I cried in the middle of a city, it was horrible), and I just wanted to use this post to say that, sometimes, you just can’t study. I have not come even close to finishing my to-do lists this week, and that is totally fine! You are the most important thing, and your mental health is soooo much more important than your grades!

Let’s try to make next week better, productivity wise, but mainly mental health wise!

04.09.17 // I need to start studying again as with October my exams are coming closer. So after breakfast I'll start studying and then plan my week as I didn't get to do it last night because I was busy tidying my room. Hello Studyblr Community ♡

My name is Laura and I’m 20 years old

I’m trying to get back into studyblr-ing as motivation for myself I really hope this works out

About me:

I’m from Germany and now in my 2nd semester at University. I study Environmental engineering and Korean in my spare time. At the moment I’m finding University very difficult because I guess the school I went to before wasn’t the best, so I failed my Maths and Chemics exam even though I studied a lot for that. I took 3 exams last semester and I hope I didn’t fail the other one as well :(

With this blog I plan on focusing on studying (obviously😊) but also mental health and such because that’s one thing I tend to struggle with from time to time due to my past. I’ve gotten bullied for years and also harassed. For the most part I’m over it, but sometimes it still gets to me (I watched 13 reasons why which made me realize a lot about all of that.) Anyways other than that I’m happy :)

I listen to metalcore and kpop (boy groups and blackpink) and sometimes I also go out. I don’t really enjoy the music there but it’s fun regardless.

I may be asexual (not really sure yet) and panromantic.

Why I’m starting this studyblr:

I wanna make studying more enjoyable for myself and like I previously mentioned also deal with my ‘problems’ I want to do well (better) and at the moment doing well is not something that’s happening.

I’m sometimes shy and may suck at convos, but I’d love to make friends so please say hi!

21 October 2019 | Two of my favorite professors agreed to do independent studies with me next semester and I am simply elated! I added a big stack of books to my reading pile to try to narrow down a patristics topic I want to focus on, but first things first, getting my readings for tomorrow finished up. This was a wonderful intensive week full of brisk morning walks, lazy afternoons spent reading, and long chats about theology with one of my closest friends. I couldn’t have hoped for better!
