day 15 of my autumn studying challenge!:
• you’ve finished the half of the challenge (for now as more prompts will be added), so let’s look back at your goals. are you getting closer to accomplishing them?
first of all why do i sound like the school therapist who never helps you but always gives you a study plan instead??? second of all, i won’t add more prompts as autumn is about to end</3. but! yep, i am accomplishing my goals :].
-> according to my study bunny, i’ve studied for five hours today. and by studying i mean doing that stupid assignment. i’m so tired of it but with nice and dedicated teamwork, my group member and i about to finish our part! and today i had another study date with my friend!!! it was a productive date, we got so much done! then we took a walk together and chatted for a while. i’m glad we’re building a stronger and closer friendship :]<3. and now i’m still working on the assignment at my dorm’s cafeteria. also, thank you so much for 3.5k followers!!!!<3 have the bestest day!

May Monk Mode Challenge
Tumblr media
I made another challenge!! May Monk Mode Challenge - A Studyblr Challenge! In this challenge, we will incorporate the productivity hack "Monk Mode" to help you stay focused and productive during your study sessions. The goal of this challenge is to create a habit of consistent and effective studying that will help you reach your academic goals. I am excited because I made a post about it back in March but already started the April Study Challenge so here we go!
Don't know what "Monk Mode" means in terms of studying? I made a post about it here! - LINK
Tumblr media
Set aside a specific time each day for your study session. This could be early in the morning, after lunch, or in the evening, whichever works best for your schedule.
Turn off all distractions, including your phone, notifications, and any other potential distractions.
Create a study space that is quiet and free from distractions.
Set a timer for 60 minutes and commit to studying without any breaks or interruptions during this time.
After the 60 minutes are up, take a 10-minute break and then repeat the process.
One session = 60 mins study + 10 mins break. At least complete one session a day.
Tumblr media
Day 1: What are your academic goals for this month? Write down your goals and the steps you need to take to achieve them.
Day 2: What subjects or topics do you struggle with the most? Identify your weak areas and make a plan to improve them.
Day 3: Create a study schedule for the next week, including specific topics you need to focus on.
Day 4: Review your notes from the past week and summarize the key concepts.
Day 5: Watch a video or read an article related to one of your subjects. Write a brief summary and explain how it relates to what you are studying.
Day 6: Practice active recall by testing yourself on the material you have learned so far. Use flashcards or quiz yourself.
Day 7: Reflect on your progress over the past week. What have you accomplished, and what can you improve upon?
Day 8: Identify any distractions that prevent you from studying effectively. Make a plan to eliminate them.
Day 9: Set a specific goal for your study session today. What do you want to accomplish in the next hour?
Day 10: Review your study schedule from Day 3. Are you on track to meet your goals? If not, adjust your schedule as needed.
Day 11: Practice visualization by imagining yourself acing your upcoming exams. How does it feel to achieve your academic goals?
Day 12: Identify your preferred learning style (e.g., visual, auditory, kinesthetic). How can you incorporate this into your study sessions?
Day 13: Take a practice test to gauge your understanding of the material. What areas do you need to focus on more?
Day 14: Reflect on your study space. Is it conducive to learning, or can you make improvements?
Day 15: Review the notes and study materials from one of your favorite classes. What makes this subject interesting to you?
Day 16: Create a mind map or flow chart to organize the information you have learned so far.
Day 17: Watch a TED talk or listen to a podcast related to one of your subjects. What did you learn from it?
Day 18: Use the Pomodoro technique (25-minute study sessions with 5-minute breaks) to help you stay focused.
Day 19: Review any feedback from teachers or professors. How can you incorporate this feedback into your studying?
Day 20: Take a break and do something that relaxes you (e.g., exercise, read a book, take a walk).
Day 21: Reflect on your progress over the past three weeks. What have you accomplished, and what can you improve upon?
Day 22: Identify any study habits that are not serving you well. How can you replace them with more effective habits?
Day 23: Use a mnemonic device (e.g., acronym, song, image) to help you remember a complex concept.
Day 24: Take a practice test or quiz yourself on the material you have learned so far. How much have you retained?
Day 25: Reflect on your motivation. Why are you studying this subject, and how can you maintain your motivation?
Day 26: Create a study group or find a study buddy to help keep you accountable.
Day 27: Use the Feynman Technique (teaching a concept to someone else) to help reinforce your understanding.
Day 28: Take a break from studying and attend a virtual academic event (e.g., seminar, lecture, conference).
Day 29: Review your study schedule for the month. What did you learn about your studying habits and how can you improve them?

When was the last time you had a life-changing revelation?
What revelation did you have? Well, I don't know whether it's a life changing revelation, but a revelation that I recently had is that although I feel like I am living again bad patterns I had to deal with in the past there is one thing that I can be sure has changed, and that thing is myself. In these past month I have been struggling with some personal issues that have dug up some old unresolved trauma, and I keep having highs and lows about it. On one specifically bad morning I just had this unpropted though and I realized that yes, things might be playing out similarly but I am changed, I have grown, and that is something to lean on for me. I have been trying to remind myself that everyday, even for other issues, and I think that this realization will be stuck with me for a long while.

23.12.22
Well, the last two days were very unproductive for me- I‘m still in a slump, but hoping to get out of this slowly as I need to start studying properly soon. Yesterday I tried to write some flashcards for cell biology, rather unsuccessfully. I can however strongly reccomend the series „Midnight Mass“ on Netflix! It’s been long since I‘ve seen such a good story.
30 Day Stem Study Challenge
Day 2: What inspired you to take your subject(s)?
I have very broad interests, and when looking for a major, I eventually decided on biology mainly because of how broad the field is. It‘s why I‘m also still looking to possibly go into another field as well.

First day od summer and first day od the challenge. The resources I'm going to use are: an online course + some YouTube videos and internet articles. Today I started creating a list in Notion od all the lessons of this course, so I can easily track it. I've already done some od the first lessons, do I won't be starting from the very beginning, but I want to conplete this course before the end of the summer.

Spooky times, strangers! 🦇🎃✨
Keeping up with tranquilstudy studying challenge.
Day 4.
✨ Today I'm grateful for: my mom and the understanding relationship we've been developing from a while now.
✨ Today I chose: to enjoy my time and give myself a break.
✨ Tomorrow my goals are:
Read a little bit more of Dostoyevsky and breath, breath slowly and seriously stop pressuring myself into things I have time to do.
Q: When was the last time you had a life-changing revelation? What revelation did you had?
Idk exactly what would count as a life-changing revelation tbh... but I would say it was two or three weeks ago... I got to truly saw a certain group of beings as they really are. I called them my friends, we bonded through the quarantine online... but they were such huge hypocritical people... sad bc I really did trusted them but... I'm glad I got to take distance from them.
I'm sorry if it got a little confuse there...
Thank you for reading!
Have a nice existence.
Not so secretly yours, Zepher.

how to stay motivated long-term
trust, me i know that long-term motivation and consistency is hard. long-term motivation might be difficult to maintain, but there are effective techniques to help you stay focused and determined. whether you're seeking personal ambitions, academic achievements, or professional success, here are some strategies to help encourage motivation:
understand the reason behind your goal ☆ does your goal contribute to personal growth or meaningful relationships? ☆ how does your goal impact others? ☆ is your goal meaningful to you? if your goal lacks meaning, it may be hard to maintain motivation.
positive and negative motivation motivation can come from different places ☆ positive motivation: the desire to experience pleasure ☆ negative motivation: the desire to avoid something (an outcome) both types of motivation have their place, so learn to recognise what type fits in where. (post on this coming soon)
set up systems use your initial motivation to set up structures: ☆ create routines, systems and habits that help you towards your goal even when your motivation fluctuates ☆ when your emotions wane, rely on these systems and disciplines to maintain momentum
break down goals ☆ tackle one goal at a time to avoid feeling overwhelmed ☆ set achievable milestones and celebrate each step forward ☆ keep the momentum going by focusing on manageable tasks
validate good work ☆ give yourself a little reward, or thank yourself, for completing hard tasks ☆ this reinforces motivation and encourages effort
remember--motivation isn't in a constant state, it ebbs and flows. these small tips will help to stay motivated. i'm going to provide more information in upcoming posts, and i will link them here once they are published.
luck on your journey ❤️

day 4 of my language learning challenge:
-> how do you improve your listening skills?
i don’t 🤣 i’m kidding i’m kidding. while i was learning english, my only listening material was one direction interview videos and songs… so for a short time i had a very stupid british-ish accent and looking back, my god it must have been really embarassing. but it has nothing to do with the question, so why am i telling you that? for german, i mostly rely on duolingo now, when i was in germany tho, i was always 👂🏼👂🏼to the locals. they were enjoying their convos while i was also enjoying their convos. ah, fun times. i want to find a german show to watch but why the ones on netflix always so dark -_- (pun intended) if you have any german show recs that don’t include murder, crime, mystery, please give me their names. i’m desperate.

I haven't really kept on track with a lot of other studyblr's posts this past month, I was wondering if anyone created any kind of challenges for May? It would be great to keep up with motivation.

Struggling my way through studying for finals, physics edition. I recently got a fountain pen and I forgot how nice it was to write with these! I‘ve also gotten back to listening the Unprepared Casters podcast, and Arc 6 is absolutely killing me :) highly recommendit.
Stem Study Challenge Day 3:
Where/When do you get most of your work done?
In the afternoon or evening. Unless I‘m getting up for a lecture in the mornings, I find it really hard to motivate myself to work before lunch. As for locations: I usually get more done at uni, but due to my commute I often end up studying at home.

Spooky times, strangers!🎃🦇✨
Another day of tranquilstudy studying challenge 🖤
Day 3.
✨ Today I'm grateful for: my gf. She's such a loving, caring, understanding and wonderful over-all being... she's just... the absolute best and I love her so fucking much.
✨ Today I chose: to procrastinate... which I admit wasn't the best choice to make ever but... I did and I'll pay the price tomorrow :)
✨ Tomorrow my goals are:
Read two more tales and two poems.
Seeing my bro and keeping up our spooky themed movie marathon.
Drink tea, not coffee.
Q: What types of books are you interested in?
I like reading everything, really. But I /really love and enjoy/ horror and romance literature. Like, the very scary, trauma causing stories and the tooth rotting, most cliché-ish love stories. Those are my two absolute things to read.
Aaaand that's it! Thank you for reading. 🖤
Lots of love.
Not so secretly yours, Zepher.
