- ̗̀ transitioning between semesters: a roseplans masterlist  -

Hello everyone! As we all wind down and finish off our fall semesters, we finally feel like we can breathe. For the weeks or month you all have off for break between semesters (I’m going off the US school system here) it can be easy to fall back into old habits. I myself am extremely bad about wasting time and falling back into lazy habits. Not saying that giving yourself some ME time and winding down from a hectic semester is bad, but you don’t want to head into next semester unprepared. So here are just a few suggestions for how I spend my break before transitioning into next semester!

- TIME: It’s great to have free time, especially during break, but don’t let it all go to your head! Fill your time with something productive. Find a new hobby, or a new craft! Work on that project you’ve been putting off for weeks. Try baking, or cooking. Job hunt. Work. Clean. If you feel yourself falling back into old habits of doing nothing (which, trust me, I know can be very relaxing) try to break out of the system, and focus on something else! 

- EXERCISE: Now, this one isn’t for everyone, but I’m putting it on this list because it’s helped me a lot. When I feel bored, or lonely, or stressed out, the best thing to do is just get up and move. I know some people can’t, or it doesn’t affect them the same way, but if you find yourself antsy or bored, try this! You can go for a run, you can do yoga, or you can just dance. Going to the gym can be boring and mind numbing sometimes, but it doesn’t have to be! Just do something that you like that gets you moving, and see if it helps at all!

- PASSION: What’s something that you love doing? Have you had time for it recently? Don’t let your free time swallow you up with things you just like doing, what do you love doing? I always find myself happier after focusing on something I’m passionate about, and time seems to fly by when I’m doing it! Writing, editing, baking, creating, even watching that movie you’ve been dying to see. Anything you love that you haven’t had time to do, do it now!

- PREPARE: What are your classes for next semester? Is there anything you need to purchase? What about text books? Can you access the syllabus? Anything you can do to get ready for your classes next semester, you should take advantage of. If you have to travel to get to your school or university, like me, I’d suggest going back so that you have a least a day or two on campus before your actual classes start. It’s really difficult transitioning back into school, especially after break. So giving yourself a day or two to readjust to campus and prepare yourself for classes can make or break your first week, at least in my experience!

I know not everything on here applies to everyone, but these suggestions have helped me a lot, and so I decided to share to see if it could help someone else! hi! i have been planning to make a new studyblr for days and finally i made myself one! yay! and i thought it would be great to introduce myself ｡(*^▽^*)ゞ my name's lyle, just lyle. she/her, isfj, 17 years old and is from the philippines. i finished grade 11 last year and im going to be a grade 12 student this upcoming school year. i made a studyblr last year but unfortunately, i was very inactive and decided to make a new one for a better start.

- ̗̀ roseplans 1st printable pack  -

Hey everyone! I’m reposting this printable pack to this new studyblr! I’m sure this will look familiar to a lot of you, as this is my take on Cornell Style notes.

- These sheets are super effective and easy to use. Each section has an important part in your notes. In the NOTES section, pretty straight forward, just jot down what you hear/read. In the CUES section, you’re going to write down questions you might have, important vocab, things you want to follow up on or work on ect. In the KEY section, you’re going to focus on the one or two most important, or key, points. In the SUMMARY section, you’re just going to summarize everything you’ve written down in a short and concise paragraph.

- That’s it! This is a method I learned a few years ago and I’ve benefited a lot from. Originally, it was just the Notes, Cues, and Summary section, but I found adding the Key section helped me round it all out. I really recommend trying this style out for lectures and or chapter readings.

- You can find and download all three colors [ h e r e ] in the ‘note taking’ folder. -

PLEASE do not redistribute these, or post these anywhere else. I work hard on these, and I don’t want to have to put a water mark on them bc I personally find that distasteful. 💡 Currently loving @studykyt‘s spreadsheet revision log to help me plan my study time until finals weeks hit! It’s weirdly motivating to enter in the hours as I go and see those little bars progress to be honest. Also, that indecent amount of calculus is something I got myself into, not a usual situation.

🕯 Spent the afternoon studying at the library from 2 to 6 pm working on math and an oral presentation on Emily Dickinson’s poem “Because I could not stop for death” and the bookshelf next to me caught my attention for for having a witchcraft section - in the midst of which I found a delightful self-help book from the 60s simply called “The Book”. I feel like there’s an irony there I’m failing to grasp fully.

Well ppl, i’d like to re-introduce myself.

My name is Celeste (it means lightblue, cool uh? lol), i’m 20 yo and i live in Italy. This is not my main blog! WHY I OPENED THIS STUDYBLR? I found a lot of photos of cute and aesthetic notes and then i discovered the magic world of the studyblr and studygram. I really like studying but last year I had some difficulties (because of some family problems) and i lost the energy and the motivation that i used to had.
